Pros: Sounds great and has a good amount of pop.

Cons: I had this bat only for a week, then it was shaped like a square because of how bad it dented.

Pros: I bought this bat (28" drop 10) for my 7 year old son who will be playing 8u travel ball this season. After one week, his confidence is boosted and he is making solid contact most of the time. The ball is jumping off the bat and it has that great sound. He continues to grow his confidence and is swinging a little faster and with a level swing. The weight balance is much better than the low end easton s50 he had last year. I was torn on getting the 28" or 29" -10 bat but glad I went with the 28 as I think the 29" would have been a touch too long. My son is 53" and weighs 65lbs. Hope this helps with your search to find the right bat for your son.

Cons: None yet but it's still early. If anything changes I will post another review but so far so good.

Marucci has redesigned the 2014 Marucci ONE: MSBY1014-R Red Senior League. The ONE models feature a new blend of alloy that results in a significantly more durable bat. These bats will still offer a lot of performance and a balanced swing weight.

Typically players of high school age must use a bat with BBCOR certification indicating a length to weight ratio of -3. With its balanced swing weight and durable AZ3000 alloy, the adult 2014 Marucci ONE BBCOR (MCB1R) would be a great option.

I would suggest getting your son a 31 inch bat. The Marucci ONE Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBY1014-R Red) is going to be a balanced bat great for contact hitters. If you are looking for a power hitter I would suggest looking at end loaded bats such as DeMarini Voodoo or the Easton XL series.
