Is the 2014 Miken Triad Xtreme Senior League Baseball Bat: STRD10 approved for PONY play in the 8u and 9u division? What are the pros and cons of a "balanced" bat like this versus an end weighted bat?
The 2014 Miken Triad Xtreme Senior League Baseball Bat (STRD10) would be approved for those levels of play up to the Bronco division. A balanced bat like the Triad Extreme offers a lower swing weight because the weight of the bat is distributed along the entire length rather than being focused toward the barrel like it would be on an end-loaded model. This allows for faster swings with less effort. End-loaded bats are tougher to swing but if you can swing it well they may provide a bit more power.
Dixie Youth league O'Zone allows 2 5/8 barrel bats. Is this bat approved for Dixie league O'Zone?
The 2014 Miken Triad Xtreme (STRD10) would be legal for the O'Zone Division of Dixie Youth.

How does this bat compare to the Easton S3? My son has an aggressive swing I was looking at the 2014 Easton XL1 bast but wanted a -10 drop compared to a -9 drop. His current bat is an Easton S3 bat.
