Amazing Amazing player

Pros: Amazing, not nearly as end loaded as people expect. It is more balanced than my 2013 vexxum. Ridiculous pop. Awesome grip. Huge sweet spot. Rocket launcher. Best bat i have ever picked up. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE TORQ! It doesnt have nearly as much pop. The spinning handle is useless. It doesnt even rotate while you swing. This bat would be well worth $500

Cons: SO UGLY!!

Great Out of the Box Walter parent

Pros: Right out of the box this bat was hot... Easton sent this as a replacement of a BB11X1 that was bought brand new in late 2013. Although it still needs several more swings on it my son a Sr. in high school was hitting 325 - 350 foot bombs..

Cons: None as of yet.. Haven't had long enough to find out the durability but if it's like all the other Easton Bats he has had it will be a good bat.

No POP! Keith watkins parent

Pros: The bat feel is great although not a fan of tapered handle.

Cons: Hit over 300 balls and bat is still dead. The bat is a sponge and I am very disappointed. I spent way more on this bat, as it has a good pedigree. Used easton products forever. We have a team bat which is an older Mako BBCOR which the ball explodes off of so I am either thinking we got a blem or xl1 is not being represented in these reviews truthfully.

Waste of big time money. Dave Burger - grandfather other

Pros: None

Cons: Bat came deader than a door nail. No Pop. Sounded like a fractured tree limb. My grandson and I are very disappointed for the price you pay. A 50.00 store bought bat off the rack is better than this one, Had to endure this for a few games until we really knew the bat was no better than a metal pipe.

I'm 5 foot 10 and weigh 135 pounds. I don't hit home runs but I drive the ball. Would this bat fit me or the S3Z? Mac Pender
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is end-loaded and is more preferred by a power hitter style player in general. The 2015 Easton S3Z ZCORE Baseball Bat (BB15S3Z) would be more balanced and would fit better with your style of play because it allows for a light swing weight.
Patrick
Which performs better: an metal BBCOR bat or a composite bat? Do they perform similarly compared to non-BBCOR? BringerOfRain23
All BBCOR bats, including the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) must adhere to the .50 BPF standard that is required for the bat to be able to be certified legal for play. The BBCOR certifications on all these bats limit the performance or "pop" that the bats are capable of, so an alloy bat and a composite bat will perform very similarly to each other in that sense. The main difference is that alloy bats have peak performance right out of the wrapper. They do not require any break in period but performance will taper off the more that the bat is used. Composite bats require a break in period before they will see their top performance. However, once it is broken in, it will continue become higher performing the more that you use the bat and loosen the composite fibers in the barrel. Therefore, a composite bat will hold its pop longer than an alloy bat. Senior League bats (also called Youth Big Barrel bats) will be higher performing than BBCOR models. This is because most senior league models have to feature a 1.15 BPF stamp, which is a higher number than the .50 BPF standard BBCOR bats have meet. The BPF or Bat Performance Factor relates the how much trampoline effect or springiness a bat has. The 1.15 BPF means that Senior League models have the ability to have more trampoline effect, so they will be higher performing than a BBCOR model.
Tessa
I'm 6 foot 2 and a freshmen in high school. I need a new BBCOR bat. I don't know what length to get. Pat
Based on your height we would suggest either a 33 inch or 34 inch size of the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1). If you weigh above 160 pounds, I would probably go with the 34 inch size.
Patrick
Are there any BBCOR models of the XL2 and the XL3 or now is it just the XL1? Patty
In the BBCOR line, Easton has only featured the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for this year and left out the XL2 and XL3.
Patrick
I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. I am thinking a 33". How long is the barrel on the XL1? clayton
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will have an extended barrel length. Easton does not list how much more barrel length you are getting compared to other models.
Brandon
I am 6 foot tall 140 pounds and 13 years old. I have good swing speed with a Rawlings 5150 32 inch -3 bat. Would the XL1 or the S1 be a better bat for me? lfaa
The 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) will have a more balanced swing weight and will be more similar to the 2015 Rawlings 5150 Baseball Bat BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB5150) than the more end-loaded 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Patrick
I am 6'2" and 160 lbs. I don't know what length to get for a new BBCOR bat? Jack
The best bat size on the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for you would be a 33" 30 oz.
Brandon

The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has an end loaded swing weight and feels top heavy.
Jason
I am 6' tall, 13 years old, and 140 lbs. What bat size would you recommend for me? aalf
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Jason
Which is the best bat in Easton 2015 lineup? joe
In the 2015 Easton lineup, the MAKO Torq, MAKO, S1 and the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) are all top of the line selections. They are all fully composite, and will provide great durability and performance.
Brandon
Does the IMX Advanced Composite used in this bat provide for a better performance than the IMX Composite used in the 2014 XL1? Do the sounds differ at all between the 2015 XL1 and the 2014 XL1? Which of these models will provide more of a "ping" sound? Can you say that the only difference between models is that the 2015 is a more durable bat? I want to know what bat is going to hit the ball further, and which bat is more likely to hit bombs with. Are they the same bat performance? Jordan
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will sound and perform the same as the older 2014 XL1 bat. The 2015 has a different color scheme. It will be orange and black. Other than that, you can expect the same feel and high performance.
Brandon
I am 13, 5'2", and 110 lbs. What bat would you recommend for me in a BBCOR? Jacebaseball123
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would be a great choice for a BBCOR. Or if you want a lighter more balanced option, try the Easton S1 BBCOR. Both of these will have great performance and durability.
Brandon
I am 13 years old and 5 foot 11 inches tall. I weigh 142 pounds and I am in 8th grade. What size bat should I get? jit
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 32 inch size of the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Patrick
I am 15 years old and 5 foot 10 and weigh 165 pounds. I am definitely a power hitter but don't know which Easton has the most pop. Can you tell me which bat and what size to get? kyle
In terms of "pop" or performance, all BBCOR bats will be restricted to the same performance standards so one will not outdo the other. What you end up seeing and end up paying for is the feel of the bat and the durability of it. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is a top of the line design for a power hitter type player and would work great for you. Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 32 inch size.
Patrick
Does the 2015 Easton XL1 feel more end loaded than the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo? baseball game
Yes, the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is more end loaded than the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
John H
How does this bat differ from the 2012 white XL1 BBCOR in balance and pop? james
The 2012 Easton XL1 BBCOR bat features the IMX Composite material in both its handle and barrel. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) XL1 BBCOR also has the IMX Composite barrel, but it features the upgraded SIC Black Carbon Composite material in its handle. This new composite provides a stiffer flex and helps transfer energy more efficiently to the ball on contact. The performance and swing weight is very similar between the two.
Jason
Does the 2015 Easton XL1 need to be broken in? Rick
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will require a break-in period of 200-300 swings. Soft toss or tee work will work best. After this it should be ready for live pitching.
Brandon
Is this the best bat choice out there for BBCOR? Mike
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 is part of Easton's XL series. the XL series features a slight end load and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot. The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass versus Easton's S series helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. It comes down to a personal preference for which bat is better, all BBCOR bats have a similar performance level due to the BBCOR certification.
Ryan
How much of an end load does this bat have? Johnny Baseball
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 end load would be closer to a full ounce which is the identical end load of the 2014 model.
Ryan
If im 5'3 125 pounds will i be able to handle this bat? Mason
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is going to be an end-loaded two-piece composite bat. The BBCOR drop 3 rating is required for all high-school and college baseball play. If you are not in high-school, we recommend using a larger drop weight.
Joe
How does this bat compare to the 2015 Louisville Slugger Prime 915? Billy
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 is a two-piece fully composite bat with an end loaded swing weight. The XL1 is typically better for power hitters. The Prime 915 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBP9153) features the same two-piece fully composite bat but it features a balanced swing weight. The Prime 915 is typically better for a contact hitter.
Tessa
Aside from the color change, are there any enhancements or diffetences between the 2013 XL1 as compared to new 2015 model? My 15year old son is a power hitter and loves his 2013 XL1. its loss its pop and he is looking for a replacement with simular functionality. gio
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is going to be very similar to the 2013 Easton XL1 in regards to performance. The BB15X1 features a two-piece composite design, with an extra long barrel and massive sweet spot designed specifically for power hitters.
Joe
I'm 6'5 and 240 lbs would the 33 in bat be large enough for me? Alonzo
I would actually suggest a 34 inch bat. But if you are comfortable with the 33 inch then stick with that.
Frankie
How does the barrel size on the XL1 compare to other BBCOR bats? Is there any bats with a bigger sweet spot? Joe
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has an extended barrel with a very large sweet spot. Another BBCOR bat with a large sweet spot is the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC). It has an ION-V End Cap that maximizes its sweet spot.
Allison
Hi. I'm 5'2" and 162 lbs. I'm searching for a power bat. Is 31" good for me? brianBaseballbeast
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is a great bat. You are correct. For your size I would recommend at 31".
Allison
What is the difference in this years and last years technology? huter
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the 2014 XL1 are the exact same bat. The only difference is the cosmetic appearance.
Jason
Is this bat considered a big barrel? Robert
Yes, the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has a 2 5/8" barrel.
John
Does composite perform better than alloy? Mac
BBCOR is a national standard regulating the performance of baseball bats at the college and high-school levels of play. All bats, regardless of whether they are composite or alloy will have similar performance within the range of this regulation. However, higher-grade composites typically have more consistent performance than alloys within the BBCOR standard as evidenced by the price variances between composite bats and alloy bats.
Joe
I'm previously swinging a 31/28 2014 MAKO, and it's just too light for me. So I decided on getting the 2015 XL1 or MAKO. What size and model? Because I am 5' 10" and 123 lbs. Bobs burgers
We would suggest going with a 31" BBCOR model at your size and weight. The XL1 and the MAKO will be similar in their construction, but they will swing differently. Both bats will feature an extended barrel (the XL1 being a little longer), but the XL1 will have an end-load while the MAKO will be balanced. I think your decision will be based upon whether or not you prefer an end-load.
Ben
I'm 5'10" and 124 lbs. What size do you recommend? Bombsquad
We would suggest going with a 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) in the 31" length and 28 ounce weight.
Ben
I'm 5'4 and 160 lbs. What size bat should I get? John Doe
We would recommend a 31" in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for a player with your height and weight.
John
I'm 5'0" and 115 lbs. What size bat should I get? Last year I swung the 31" 20 oz MAKO and it worked fine but I can't decide on a 31" or 32". Which one? Shawn
For your size we would recommend a 30 inch bat. However if you want to go up a size the 31 inch will work in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for your size as well.
Allison
My son is 14 years old and is 5 foot 10 inches and 165 pounds. What size bat should he use? Hank
With using our Bat Coach, I would suggest your son gets the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) in a 32 inch.
Frankie
I am 6 foot 1 inch tall and I weight 195 pounds, what size bat would you suggest? jack
I would suggest getting the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) in a 33 inch.
Frankie
If BBCOR limits the "ceiling" for bat performance or pop, should we all ignore how much "pop" a drop 3 bat is advertised to have? Don't all bat companies have their toe on the line of maximum performance? Buster
The BBCOR rating does limit the performance of the bats to a certain range. However, certain bats tend to perform at the upper end of that range more consistently.
Joe
I am 6'5" and weigh around 160 lbs. What is the right bat and size for my build? Tbone
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is a great option for a player with your build. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" bat.
Jason
Should I use BBCOR as a freshmen in high school or a -5? I'm not sure of the bat length/weight drop rules for high school. BaseballGuy99
If you are in high school you must use the BBCOR version of the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Jake
Other than the end load, how is this bat different than the MAKO? Do they have the same composite material? Brian
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) provides a longer sweet spot than the MAKO, and it is also still constructed from the SIC Black Carbon Composite handle and IMX Composite barrel while the MAKO is made from the TCT Composite.
Mac
My son 6'4" 210lbs now a Jr in HS has been using Easton bats for over 4 yrs (since Power Brigade came out). He uses the XL1 BBCOR which I believe was the white, black & yellow model. Please advise what this new model advantages and differences v.s. the prior one. DR in VA
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the 2014 XL1 are the exact same bat with the only difference being cosmetic appearance.
Tom
Is there a break-in period for this bat? RCbaseball
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will require a break-in period. Follow this link to the proper technique for break-in: http://www.justbats.com/blog/index.php/3789/breaking-in-your-composite-baseball-bat/
Jake
Is this bat better than the 2015 MAKO? I know this bat is more end loaded and they use different composites, but what is the difference in pop between the two? Will one of their composites break sooner? Will either require a break-in period? Warren
The 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) and the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) are both great bats. The biggest difference is that the MAKO will be balanced and the XL1 more end loaded. Also, the MAKO has a higher performing TCT Thermo Composite. Both will be durable and require a brief break-in period.
Damon
I am a junior in high school and I am 6ft 2in and 215lbs. What bat length and weight do you recommend? none
We would recommend a 34" in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for a player with your height and weight.
John
Does the 2012 XL1 have more pop than the 2015 XL1? Big Matt
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will feature the same two-piece full composite design as the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB11X1). Additionally, both bats do feature an end-loaded swing weight. The term "pop" is not actually a technical term. Both bats will require a break-in period due to their composite construction, which will result in better performance over time. I would give the edge in performance to the 2015 model, although both bats do fall under the BBCOR certification and are thus limited in their overall performance.
Joe
I am 5'10" and 145 lbs. I usually hit in the 2nd spot or the 7th spot. Would the new MAKO or the new XL1 be better for me? jack
For a gap hitter, we would not recommend the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1). The end-loaded swing weight tends to slow the swing of 1 and 2 hitters down considerably. The 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) actually has a larger sweet spot and a more balanced swing-weight which should actually help your bat speed.
Joe
I'm a 6'1" tall, 187 pound sophomore. My freshman year I used a 32/29 Easton S1. What size would you recommend for me now? Zmoney
For your size we would recommend at 33" in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Allison
Just purchased the XL1 for my son who's a freshman. What sort of break-in process do you recommend? Drewsky
For bats with a composite hitting surface, like this 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1), we recommend starting with tee-work, progressing to soft toss/front toss and then to live pitching. Make sure to rotate the bat a quarter of a turn after each swing, and after about 150-200 reps with real baseballs (this can vary), your bat should be fully broken-in. Check out this link for a video that describes the process: http://goo.gl/yJW1EB.
Mac
My son is 5'6" tall and weighs 137 lbs. What BBCOR bat would you suggest for him? Cruton
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 31" bat. It ultimately depends on what type of hitter he is to determine what bat is best for him. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has an end loaded swing weight and is a terrific option for a power hitter. If he is more of a contact hitter, the Easton MAKO is a better option for him.
Jason
I am 14, 6'1" and 151 lbs. Would you consider the XL1 -3 BBCOR in a 33" for me? Joe Judge
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1). You are correct about th 33" model being the size for you.
Jason
I am 5'10" and 164 pounds and muscular. Would you recommend a 34" in this bat? Giraffe
For your size our Bat Coach would actually recommend a 32" or 33" in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1). If you want to check it out here is the link to our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Allison
My son is 5'11" and 140 lbs. at 14 years old. What size bat do you recommend? 32" or 33"? Darin

Tom
I'm 5'11" and 175 pounds. Would you recommend a 33"? The great
Yes, a 33" 2015 Easton XL1(BB15X1) would be the recommended length for your height and weight.
John H

The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is BBCOR .50 certified and is made for play in high school and college.
Tom
I am 6'1" and 203 lbs, should I get this bat? If so, what dimensions? yuds
For someone your height and weight 33" 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is going to be a good bat to use.
Liz
What size should I order for my 13 year old son, who is 5 foot 7 and weighs 135 pounds? eiteacher
Based on height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch size of the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Patrick
How does this bat compare to the 2014 Easton XL1 in BBCOR? Is it pretty much the same bat with a different color/paint job? SharkBait
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14X1) are very similar by design. The only major differences would be cosmetic in nature.
Patrick
Is the XL1 2015 better than the AXE? baller444444
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is more popular compared to the AXE option. Both will have very high performance. The AXE bat may feel more balanced in swing weight. The XL1 will feel more barrel heavy and have a longer barrel length.
Brandon
Is the Xl1 2015 (-3) better then the Xl1 2015 (-5)? baseballstud1867
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has the BBCOR .50 BPF Certification that has to be used by high school and college players. The 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -5 Baseball Bat (SL15X15) has the 1.15 USSSA BPF Stamp that is available for younger players. It will have better performance being that it has a higher BPF, but they are made with the same material and have the same structure.
Tom
I am a contact hitter and was wondering if the DeMarini CF7 or the Easton XL1 would be better for me? bb
For a contact hitter I would recommend going with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) versus the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1). The two-piece balanced swing weight design of the DeMarini CF7 is what most contact hitter prefer over an end-loaded designed bat like the Easton XL1.
Liz
Is this the most end loaded Easton BBCOR bat? What is the most end loaded BBCOR bat on the market (any brand)? baseballpops
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is the most end-loaded Easton model. You could also consider the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC), 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR End-Loaded Baseball Bat (BBRVE) or the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403).
Joe
Should I get a used 2012 XL1 or a new 2015 XL1? I'm a freshman in high school. Keith
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will feature an updated composite and have a little better performance overall. Used models will not come with any sort of a manufacturer's warranty. If you think you might grow considerably in the next four years, you could consider possibly a 2014 model right now, which typically have a much lower price.
Joe
Does the XL1 or MAKO have a bigger sweet spot? guy
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) features a two piece full composite design with a slightly end loaded swing weight that will be an excellent choice for power hitters. The 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) will feature a similar two piece full composite design with a larger sweet spot.
Joe
What bat has the biggest sweet spot? The MAKO, XL1, or the VELO all 2015 models? ok
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) will both have very similar extended barrels for a larger sweet spot than the 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRVB). Both of those bats will have more of an end-loaded feel than the VELO.
Jake
What barrel size and sweet spot is bigger the XL or MAKO? What are the weight differences (balanced, top heavy, etc)? Greg
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) will feature a longer barrel extension than the MAKO will, so it also has the larger sweet spot. The XL1 also feature an end loaded swing weight, whereas the MAKO features a balanced swing weight.
Tessa
I wanted to know what size bat I should get. I am 13 years old and I am 5 foot 11 and 1/2 inches tall and weigh 200 pounds. I have a fast swing and I am a power hitter. What size should I get? Joey Bats
Based on height and weight, I would suggest a 33 inch size of the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Patrick
Is the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR top heavy? jeff
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) does have an end-loaded or barrel heavy feel.
Patrick
I am 12 years old and 130 lbs. What size should I use in the XL1? PIGGY123
For a player of your age and size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) in a 31" 28 oz. model.
Joe
Is there a certain temperature that using this bat outside will damage the bat? Sgray1113
At 55 degrees, the ball rather than the bat is what has the issue. The ball can condense at that point and become harder than what the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is intended to hit. This can cause damage to the bat.
Patrick
Would this bat be better than the DeMarini Vexxum? dom
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is a two piece composite bat that features an end loaded swing weight. The DeMarini Vexxum is a two piece hybrid bat with a balanced swing weight. One bat won't necessarily perform better than the other since they are both under the BBCOR Regulations. The choice will come down to personal preference on material and bat structure.
Tom
I need a drop -3. I'm about 5'8" and 118 pounds. Which bat would be ideal for me? I am not a complete power hitter or contact hitter. What bat and size? Jake15
I would recommend a 31" for your height and weight. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is a very nice model for power hitters because of the end loaded swing weight. If you like an end loaded design then this would be a great option. If you prefer more of a balanced design then I would take a look at the Easton MAKO BB15MK.
John
What is the difference between BBCOR AND 1.15 BPF bats as far as performance? Ron
BBCOR certified bats like the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) are more dulled down in terms of performance compared to 1.15 BPF bats. They decrease the performance at that level because at that point, the players are getting stronger and facing faster pitching so the idea is to limit the batted ball speed to ensure safety for the players in the field.
Patrick
I'm 5' 2" and 96 lbs. What bat should I get: the XL1 or S1? Nj
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" model. It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which option is best for you. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has an end loaded swing weight and is typically better for a power hitter. The Easton S1 has a balanced swing weight and is typically better for a contact hitter.
Jason
I'm looking to add power, would this be a good bat? Nj
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) has an end loaded swing weight to increase the power in your swing.
Frankie
Is this a balanced bat? Jackson7
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is going to have an end loaded weight and will not be balanced.
Frankie
What is the MOI on this bat? Randy
In speaking with Easton, they had the M.O.I for the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) listed at 9200.
Patrick
What bat would compare to this end loaded bat? mchaves
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would be most comparable to the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord. The XL1 will be a two-piece full composite design while the Voodoo will be a two-piece hybrid design. Both bats will have a similar end loaded swing weight.
John
My son has been swinging a B4 Portent. He doesn't like the swing feel of a two-piece bat. How would the XL1 compare for him? Rick
If your player does not like the feel of a two-piece design, the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would probably not be a great choice for him. In comparison to the B4, it will flex more and have a more end-loaded feel.
Patrick
Should I get the XL1 or the S1? dingerzforlife
Based on what kind of hitter you are is going to depend on which bat you should get. The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is going to be an end loaded bat designed for a power hitter. The Easton S1 is going to be a balanced bat designed for a contact hitter.
Frankie
What is the best bat for contact hitters? trent09
There are many good options available for contact style hitters. There would not be one single bat that is simply better than the others. An end-loaded model like the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would typically not be good for a contact hitter. The 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) or the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) would be better choices for a contact hitter within that series of Easton bats.
Patrick
Would the XL1 be a good bat for me? I am 5 foot 2 and weigh 100 pounds. kaden
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would be a bit end-loaded and is, in general, somewhat tough to swing for most players that are not power hitters. The 2015 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S1) may be a better fit.
Patrick
Does this have a bigger barrel than the CF7 BBCOR model? Which one is more balanced? Money
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) will both feature the required 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The XL1 does have a longer barrel and is much more end loaded or barrel heavy, than the ultra balanced CF7. The XL1 is intended for power hitters, and the CF7 is preferred by contact or gap hitters.
Joe
Do I need to break in this bat, or it is good out of the wrapper? Yankees2345
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) is 100% composite, so it will need to be broken in.
Chinyere
I am looking to get a new Easton. What size should I get if I am 5'10" and weigh 170. I would like to use the Easton XL1 through high school. Dingerzforlife
We would recommend a 32" in the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) for a player with your height and weight.
John
I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 140+ pounds. Is this the bat for me? MIke
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) would be a nice option if you prefer an end-loaded feel. If you like a more balanced bat, this bat will have a pretty heavy feel for you.
Patrick
I'm 5'10" and weigh 139 lb. I turned 13 in May and just started 13u Travel Ball. Should I go -5 or get used to BBCOR for highschool and what length should I get? I am currently in 8th grade. Christian
Here at www.JustBats.com, for someone with your height and weight, we would recommend a 33" baseball bat. If you wanted to go down then a 32" would work as well. For a player of your age, being in the eighth grade, I would recommend using the -5 model and save getting a BBCOR bat until you absolutely have to. This particular 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 is actually discontinued. Here is a link to the 2015 Easton XL1 Senior League -5. http://www.justbats.com/product/2015-easton-xl1-senior-league--5-baseball-bat--sl15x15/21219/
John
What size bat would be best for my grandson. He is about 5 ft 2 and weighs about 85lbs. He is in the eight grade and plays modify baseball in NY. Grandpa
Based on your son's height/weight, I would suggest getting a 29/26 BBCOR baseball bat. Unfortunately, the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) does not come in a 29/26. At this time the only 29/26 BBCOR bat we carry is the 2016 Louisville Slugger Omaha 516 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBO5163).
Cameron
I have about 2 seasons till high school. I am a power house hitter and I need a bat with pop and a good feel off the barrel, would this bat do me good? Also Im 5"7 and 160 and quite muscular compared to boys my age I have always been good with a 32 inch since my first year of middle school the guy at dick's says 33 inch but I was always comfortable with 32 inch I have always desired the xl1 but i have been looking into the demarnini cf8 and I have an easton mako and I never was really happy with my performance with the mako altho i have an easton surge it is the older bbssr version so it wouldn't be a legal bat I just need the right bat but im afraid to buy a bbcor bat for high school because I never know if im gonna like the bat or not. I need help on what bat would fit me best please help. slugger 123
Based on your height and weight, you could certainly go with a 33 inch 30 oz model as you move into high school. With that being said, I would stick with the 32 inch 29 oz. BBCOR until your sophomore year. You can always crowd the plate that first year to get better reach and most young pitchers will not be able to locate inside. Bats to consider would be Marucci Black 2 BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBB20), RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403), DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC), and the 2015 Easton S3Z ZCORE BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15S3Z).
Cameron
I also forgot to mention the bat i always did very good with was a -9 easton 2014 xl3 I hit a ball about 330 im looking for somthing like that in a bbcor model. (please contact me) slugger 123
We no longer have the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) in stock but if you are looking for something similar you are going to want an end-loaded bat. Out of the previous options sent, you would want to consider possibly the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403) or the DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Cameron
Please compare the BB15X1 to the BB14X1? AK
The 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 and the Easton 2014 XL1 BB14X1 BBCOR Baseball Bat are essentially the same bat but with a different color scheme. Both bats will have IMX composite barrels, SIC black carbon composite handle and CXN patented two-piece ConneXion technology.
Cameron
What is a bat that is similar to this since it is discontinued? dusty
The 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MKL is the option that would be the most comparable to the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1.
Jason
Is there anywhere I can get this bat, I know it is a 2015 and it is discontinued but are there any available in the warehouse? I am a coach and I have had a lot of Easton bats but this is by far the best one we have owned. My son is getting older and stronger and I really need a 32 if at all possible. Jim
Unfortunately, we are completely sold out of the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 and since Easton is no longer making this particular model we will not be getting anymore back in stock.
John P.
I would like to purchase the Easton Xl1 BBCOR 33/30 but I can't purchase it on your website. If you don't sell it who does? JT
Easton stopped making the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15X1 after 2015 and one would be hard pressed to find it. Could always check on eBay but this would probably be a used bat without a warranty.
Cameron
Which bat is more endloaded, this one or the 2016 easton mako xl? roger
The end load on the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1) and the 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MKL) are going to be very similar.
