Cons: takes getting used to, 11 year old using this size for first time, switched from a 30" 20oz still seems to be trying to get used to the weight and smaller barrel difference after 6 games.

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1508) does not require a break in period and does feature a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter. It will have similar performance to the 2014 Easton XL3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14X39).

It is tough to say which model will be the best bat for 2015. A lot of manufacturer's are only now releasing their 2015 line ups, so we are still getting feedback on the performance and durability of those models. In years past, the AIR has had great feedback, so there is a chance that this model, the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1508) will be another high performance model from RIP-IT.

My son is 4'8", weighs 75lbs. and is 12 yrs old. Would you recommend the Rip-It or the CF6? He uses a drop 10 CF6 but has to move to drop 9 or lower. ksh

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1508) is a one-piece full alloy bat featuring the R3 alloy with a balanced swing weight as well as a contact grip for elimination of vibration. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFR) is a two-piece full composite bat featuring the Paradox Composite as well as a balanced swing-weight. Additionally, the DXCFR features a D-Fusion handle for the complete elimination of vibration and sting. Typically, we recommend two-piece bats for contact or gap hitters, as it allows for a faster swing speed due to the bat flexing through the zone. Power hitters usually prefer a one-piece bat because of the stiffness through the zone. Also, if a bat is working well for you, we don't recommend moving away from it. Both bats are offered in a drop length to weight ratio.

2015 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1508) will feature a one piece alloy design. The B1508 offers a well-balanced swing weight that will be very similar to the Rawlings VELO. The 2015 Marucci CAT 6 Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBC68) offers a one-piece alloy design with a patented anti-vibration knob as well as a ring-free barrel for optimized performance. Additionally, the B1508 does carry a 30 trial period on it through Rip-It's Love it or Return It program.
