Can you tell me why this bat is marked down so low? Did Adidas stop making this series? The barrel looks small in the pictures, but it might be because it is a 32" which makes it look shorter. Does it have a smaller, shorter barrel? crane
The bat is marked down due to supply and demand, and Adidas has discontinued this model as they are most likely producing a 2017 version. The 2016 Adidas EQT X1 Senior League -8 Baseball Bat: X1-SL has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter that all -8 length to weight ratio bats have. It does have a slightly shorter barrel compared to other bats on the market, but the sweet spot is roughly the same size.

I bought this bat and I am looking forward to seeing my son hit with it. My question is the bat came with the warranty card and said not to use this bat when temps are below 60. I bought this bat as a back up to the composite his uses. Just want to make sure I use bat properly. Also, can he hit the weighted control balls? Jess
With the 2016 Adidas EQT X1 Senior League -8 Baseball Bat: X1-SL, as well as any other bat, it is not recommend for excessive usage in temperatures below 60 degrees. In those temperatures, the baseball itself becomes more dense and leads to an increased risk of damaging your bat. You run the same risk using this bat to hit weighted balls. Additionally, hitting a weighted ball offers zero benefits.
