(1) The Derby Boys line of bats from COMBAT has been released for a number of years and the line gets rated well by JustBats customers most every year. I haven't heard anything too alarming about the Derby Boys line in the past in regard to durability, but I am sure that there are some players out there that have opinions towards these bats that could be different. (2) In regard to the break-in, it shouldn't take too long. I would imagine that a day of use should open it up pretty well for you. (3) In regard to rating, I think it would be fair to rate the bat from a 7-10 rating.

My USSSA league is switching to .52 COR/275 Comp balls and I've seen suggestions that this bat is good for those type of balls. Is that true? Is there a better bat for these type of balls? Gies

I wouldn't say that there is a specific USSSA bat that is more designed for the .52/275 balls than others. However, if you are hearing solid reviews from players that have used this bat with those balls, I would recommend going with this bat if you trust the players telling you that it will be a solid option of bat.
