Description

New for Much more than a new number, the new DeMarini CF8 is set to impress! This DXCFS model offers the lightest swing weight of the CF8 Series; making it a great choice for younger players looking to take their game to the next level. The CF8 will utilize DeMarini's new Paradox Plus+ Composite material in the barrel and handle that increases the strength of the bat, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot that helps to deliver consistently more-powerful swings! New to this year's model, the D-Fusion 2.0 handle technology eliminates vibration even more efficiently on off-center hits. By reducing these vibrations, the player's hands are protected against sting and energy is redirected back into the barrel on contact for a solid feel and more power! The D-Fusion 2.0 handle also opens up a better sound on all hits across the barrel. The CF8 features DeMarini's Stacked Double Wall Construction that optimizes the trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for the highest performance fastpitch regulations will allow! The CF8 WTDXCFS is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. Backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! Free Shipping!

Amazing pop texxag parent

Pros: Just bought this bat today for my 9 year old daughter. We have been looking for a bat that the ball would just fly off of. Well I think we found it. She has had couple of bats but the pop off the bat is unbelievable right out of the wrapper. I cant wait to see her in a tournament with it. So worth the money.

Good bat anonymous player

Pros: Really good feel and has geed bat and I would definitely recommend it to a friend! Demarini has always had good bats that produce solid hits. Looks really nice!

Cons: The handle is a bit skinny but some people may like that... Also at the edge of the double wall there is swirl on one side, it looks cool but it's not good if you accidentally hit an inside pitch there

CF8 TB coach

Pros: We have had the bat for only a couple of weeks. It has a lot of pop in the bat. It seems to be very well balanced and better for a child then an end loaded bat. Demarini is one of the only companies making a high performance bat for dedicated young softball players. The other bats are end loaded and negatively effect the swing plan on younger hitters.

Cons: None at this time.

CF8 confidence Chris parent

Pros: My 11yr Daughter used the Bat (32/ 21) in a weekend Halloween tourney and you could just see her confidence as she took her first at bat. She hit a triple and batted great all weekend. The bat has great pop and is light enough and balanced to increase the length to cover more plate.

Cons: She liked the colors of the CF7 better but still likes the look of the bat.

Dad/Coach Jerry parent

Pros: My 12 yr old loves this bat. It had great pop right out of the wrapper. She was normally a speedy base hitter that would stretch hits into a double. With this bat, she's hitting ropes to the outfield in the gaps for stand up extra base hits and 2 in the park HR's. First tournament using this bat she went 16-18! Going to try talking her older sister to switch to Demarini!

Pros: Demarini composite bats are awesome and greatly improve hitting performance! I will likely never purchase any other than Demarini. I can't rate durability at this point due to bat being new, but other Demarini products have worked well beyond warranty expiration.

Cons: would like better appearance options for the smaller sizes (-11's) - colors and graghics are much better for the older girls' bats

Love this bat! AE! parent

Pros: This bat is amazing. My daughter just turned 9 a couple months ago and played with the 28 inch Demarini CF6 Sprite -11 from Aug 2014-Aug 2015 in 8u. She is a still tiny and we got her an extra inch since she moved up to 10u Select this summer. They moved her to slapping and she gets on base everytime. She never complains about stinging or anything. Her confidence went up. She's two in the lineup now and hits amazing line drives, excellent bunts, and beautiful bouncing slaps and hard grounders. 5 other girls use this bat and they absolutely crush the ball.

First Out The Park Homer ... Out The Wrapper T.K. parent

Pros: We bought this bat almost a month ago for our 12 yr old daughter. She plays travel ball and at her first Fall tourney she hit her first out the park homer! Daughter says this bat (which is heavier) feels lighter than her previous bat (DeMarini Bustos 31 drop 13). We just ordered the DeMarini CF8 (-10) also. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

Pros: My 9 year old daughter loves this bat. We went from a CF5 to a Xeno (30-19) to this CF8 (30-19). No comparison. The CF8 blows the Xeno out of the water for this size bat. Big sweet spot, balanced swing. Best fastpitch bat available for 8U and 10U age groups in my opinion.

Cons: It's pricey, but it's worth it.

Pros: My daughter is 11 and plays travel ball. She has always used a Xeno. Bought her a new CF8. We went for some batting practice and the third pitch I threw her she hit it over the fence . 10 yr old Cracked 2 Bats in 1 year Scott parent

Pros: Great Pop! Great Balance! Daughter hit great with them while they lasted

Cons: 5ft 80lbs daughter broke 2 bats, following all the composite bat usage rules, each with only 4-5 tournaments on them. Demarini replaced first bat in about 5 weeks even though they promised 2-3 weeks I called and they"kept saying they were waiting for parts", second bat they refused to replace because beyond 1 year even though we had replacement bat for 6 months. They told me she is out performing the bat, that their drop 11's tend to break more often for girls around age 11. Extremely disappointed . Guess we are buying Louisville Slugger from now on.

Dad/Coach Rich parent

Pros: My daughter plays more than 100 games per year between travel and school ball. Hits year round with hitting lessons. she is 12 under 5ft and under 100 lbs. She is a contact hitter has some power and loves this bat sorry graphics mean nothing performance is the only important factor. Great swing speed and swing weight equals great pop and shots of the bat. We have had the CF5, CF7, and a replacement CF8 all drop 11. Company is great to deal with when you have an issue. Will continue to purchase based on the sheer permormance of these bats. Looking into going to a -10 hoping it solves the breakage problem without loosing performance. Vast majority of our team swing this bat either in a Drop 11 or 10 No real issues....

Cons: These bats are only lasting us about 7 months we broke a CF7 -11 and a CF8 -11 in about the same time frame. Only replace the first broken bat after the second your back shopping again.

CF-8 IS NOT A DURABLE BAT Robert Ratliff other

Pros: Good pop till the bat cracks , which won't take very long . DeMarini needs to correct this problem instead of blaming it on 10U -12U players . They should be ashamed of themselves .

Cons: This bat was a Christmas present for my granddaughter she is 12 yrs. old and the smallest girl on her team . She made the school team as a 6th. grader and played in approx. 10 games . She also plays travel ball and 05/07/16 was her first tournament . Her bat cracked during the second game of this tournament . They need to correct this problem or stop making this bat four of them cracked on her team last year !

Patrick
How do you break in the CF8? T.J.
We recommend breaking in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) with hitting off of a tee 150-200 swings rotating the bat at a 1/4 of an inch on each swing. This will get the bat ready for live pitching.
Frankie
Can I use this in baseball? T.J.
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is going to be designed for softballs. We do not recommend using baseballs, they can be damaging to this bat.
Frankie
What is the "MOI" referenced in the description? BATMAN
MOI means Moment of Inertia, and the the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) has a really low MOI. This means the swing weight is light and the bat is balanced.
Chinyere

Our bat coach recommends using a 31" 20 oz. 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Liz
My daughter is 10 years old. She is like 5 feet tall and about 70 pounds. What length and weight do you guys recommend? Is the CF8 a good bat? Jaime
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is one of the top models on the market and is very popular. Based on her height and weight, I would suggest a 31 inch 20 ounce size of the DXCFS.
Patrick
My daughter is 8 1/2 years old. She is 52" tall, right around 55 lbs. Which size bat do you recommend getting her? Louie
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 28" 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS). For more information on sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 31" 20 oz option in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Jason
What is the difference between end-loaded and balanced? I have 2 daughters one is 55 inches tall and 85 pounds the other is 59 inches and 105 pounds. What do you recommend for each? chris m
A balanced bat like the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) will evenly distribute the weight of the bat along its entire length which gives it a lighter swing weight than if the bat was end-loaded and put the weight of the bat mostly in the barrel. Based on height and weight, we would suggest a 30 inch size for the daughter who is 55 inches tall and a 31 inch size for the player who is 59 inches tall.
Patrick
Which bat is better for 10 year old , 65 pound slapper, CF7 or CF8? Corey
Both bats are going to be a great option. There is not going to be much of a difference between the 2015 CF7 and the 2016 CF8 so either one would be a good bat for a slapper.
Cooper
My Daughter is 11 years old, 4 foot and 70 pounds. What sizes of bat will she need ? morose
Based on your daughters height and weight we recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in a 28 inch.
Frankie
I purchased my daughter a 29 inch. She has been swinging a 28 inch CF6 for a while now since she started 8u. She is now starting a 10u select team and they are switching her to the left. Will she feel any difference as far as weight. It is just an ounce but how long do you think she would get used to it? Soft
The time it would take to adjust to a larger bat such as the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would vary based on how much she works with it and her strength but, in general, it should not be a lengthy process to get adjusted.
Patrick
My daughter is 10 years old, about 4'5" tall, and weighs about 55 lbs. What size of bat do you recommend for her? She currently uses the Easton Synergy 29/17 but it is too heavy for her. Reina
For a player her size, I would recommend going with a 28" bat. If that 29/17 bat is too heavy for her, then I would likely go with a bat lighter than the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch (DXCFS). I would consider a bat that is 28" 16 oz.
Marcus
Is this bat comparable to the Hope bat? Z
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) will use the same composite material as the DeMarini CF8 Hope model. The difference between the two is that the Hope has a -10 drop weight while the DXCFS has a -11 drop.
John
My daughter will be 13 and is 5'2" and weighs 115 lbs. She used a 31" 20 oz. What size would you suggest? Z
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Jason
My 15 year old daughter is 5 foot 8 and weighs 135 pounds. She plays travel ball and high school ball. Is this the bat for her? DAVE
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) is a very nice option for a player of that age. Based on her size, we would recommend a 33 inch size.
Patrick
My daughter is about to turn 9 and is starting her first year of 10 and under. She has been swinging a 30 inch 17 ounce Bustos. She is 4 feet 7 inches and weighs 72 pounds. What size would you suggest in the CF8? D
Based on height and weight, we would recommend the 30 inch size of the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS).
Patrick
Does this bat have a balanced swing or is it end loaded? Chuck
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) has a balanced swing weight.
John
Which is better or has more pop, a full composite bat or a half and half bat? We are looking for a new fastpitch bat. Softball Dad
There are not really many if any hybrid fastpitch designs on the market like their are for baseball. You either have composite models or single-piece all alloy bats. "Pop" is more of a term that is associated with the skill of the player rather than a measurable feature of the bat. Due to performance restrictions imposed for safety reasons, most bats within the same certification category will perform to the same level at their peak. The difference, and what you end up paying for, is the feel of the bat (balanced vs. end-loaded, one-piece vs two-piece, barrel size, etc.) and the durability of the bat (how long the bat will perform at that peak level). Which one is best would depend on what you are looking for in those aspects compared to the price range you are looking to stay in. Alloy bats tend to dull faster than composite bats do so, often, composite bats will perform at a higher level for a longer period and more consistently than alloy bats do.
Patrick
I am 64", 145 lbs and soon to be 11 years old. What size bat would you recommend? Jill
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS.
Jason
My 10 year old daughter is 4 foot 8 inches tall and weighs 76 pounds. She is a contact hitter. Last season, she used a 30 inch DeMarini Bustos with a -13 drop. She has grown since then and I am feeling like she needs a little more weight. Would a CF8 be a good option? What size should I go with? Coach Dad
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) would be a nice option for her. Based on height and weight, we would recommend staying with a 30 inch model but you would be adding 2 ounces of weight to help her get more power.
Patrick
My daughter is currently using a CF6 Sprite -11 30 inch 19 ounce that has stood up well to two spring and two fall seasons. I want to get her a CF8 for Spring but I have seen a lot of negative reviews on the durability of the CF7 -11 bats. How many hits are the CF8 -10 and -11 bats estimated to last before breaking? Is there a return policy if they break early? Bobbie
There are far too many variables that come into play with use of the bat to predict how many hits or seasons a bat like the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) should last. It is covered under a 12 month warranty that would cover replacement for damage within the first 12 months after your purchase.
Patrick
What is the lowest outside temperature that you should use the CF8 in? tmac
We recommend avoiding use of bats like the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in weather below 55 degrees. Below that point, the ball condenses and becomes harder which can damage the bat.
Patrick
What size bat for a 10 year old that is 4'11' & weighs 96 lbs? What size bat for an 8 years old that is 52 inches & weighs 68 lbs? Brent
Based on the players' height/weight that you have provided, we would suggest getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in a 31 inch 20 oz model and a 28 inch 17 oz model.
Cameron
What size would you recommend for a high school team? Nick
The best way to determine the correct size bat for a player is by their height and weight. However, a high school player is most commonly going to use a 32" or 33" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS. For more sizing information check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Jason
My daughter is 55 inches tall and is 68 lbs what size bat would be best for her? She is using a 29 inch Bustos with a -13 drop. wayne
For your daughter's height and weight we recommend a 30" length bat.
Angelique
My daughter is 50 inches tall and 57 lbs, is she big enough for a CF8. Kevin
I think it may be tough for her to swing a bat of that size. I would recommend a 29" size bat for her. I would base the weight off of what she currently swings and how her fast/slow her bat speed is with that particular weight.

My daughter is 7 years old, and she's about 4 feet tall and 55 pounds. Is this bat in the 28" long and 17 oz weight too big a bat for her? Mike
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 28" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS. The 28" length is the size that most bats start in and there are not many options available smaller than a 28".
Jason
I have a 12U daughter who loves the CF8 and has busted it. All her friends are going to the LXT Plus. Which is the better bat? softball dad
Both the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS and the 2016 Louisville Slugger LXT Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPLX161 are great bats to consider. With that being said, we would recommend reading the product reviews of both of these bats on our website to see what customers are saying about each.

My daughter is about 4'5" around 80 lbs. I'm leaning towards the 29" 18 oz., would this be the right decision? Chris
For your daughter's height and weight we recommend a 30" length bat.
Angelique
I'm looking at the CF7 and the CF8. My daughter is 53" and weighs 110. Is there a difference between the two bats and if so what? What would be the best size for her? Rich
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS in a 31 inch 20 ounce model. As for the differences between this model and the DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS those are the connection point in the 2016 model (reduces vibration more from off-centered hits) as well as the Paradox Plus+ composite that was used in 2016 (gives bat a larger and hotter sweet spot than the CF7 model).

My daughter is at the 10U level. She's approximately 5'2" and 105 lbs and currently swings a 31"/20 oz bat. I'm looking to upgrade and I am considering this bat. I want it to last for a couple years. I'm thinking about a 32"/21 oz size. What would you recommend? Can I use it for games right away as well? RJS
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend going with a 32" model of a fastpitch softball bat. As long as your player can handle the 21 oz weight of the 32" option of this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), I would recommend that size option. I think the 32"/21 oz size will give her the best option for use right now and into the future. As well, this bat will be designed with technology that nearly prevents a break-in period. I think that if any break-in was necessary, it would be extremely minimal.
Ben
My daughter is about 4'7" and weighs about 90 lbs. What size of bat do you recommend. She was using a 30 inch 18 oz previously. SOFTBALL MOM
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS.
Jason
My daughter is at the 8U level. She's approximately 4'2" and 75 to 80 lbs. She currently swings a 28"/15.5 oz Miken bat. I'm looking to upgrade and I am considering this bat. I want it to last for a couple years. I'm thinking about a 29"/18 oz size. What would you recommend? to many bats to choose from
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend going with this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) in the same 29"/18 oz size you are thinking about as well. I think that size option will give her something to which she will need to adjust, but she could definitely make the adjustment quickly. Going forward, I think that is a bat she could use for a following season as well!

My daughter plays 13U and just moved up to 14U. This bat that we bought is "dead" and it is only 6 months old. It is an awesome bat and was excellent for her smaller frame. I see that this bat has a full 1 year warranty. I believe we purchased it from JustBats. What should I do now? Keni
If your model of this 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS) was purchased from JustBats, be sure and call us at 866-321-2287. We will set you up with all the necessary information to begin a warranty replacement through the manufacturer, DeMarini.

My daughter is 5'5" and 90 lbs. Which size do you recommend for her? SLo
Based on her height and weight, we suggest a 32" model in the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS.
Jason
are the demarinis as good as the xenos? Sean
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS is very highly reviewed and extremely comparable to the Louisville Slugger XENO Plus.
John P.
Can you use this bat in Little League softball? Dillion
The 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS can be used for Little League softball.
Cameron
My daughter is 12 years old, 5'3" and 120 pounds. Will a 33"/22 oz CF8 be too much for her to handle (I would like her to use this bat for a couple of years)? Lalo
Based upon your player's height and weight, our general recommendation would be to get a model of fastpitch bat in a 32" length. However, if you want a bat that will be able to have the most potential to be used for a long period of time, I think a 33"/22 oz model would be the go-to option. It may be a little long and heavy at the beginning, but I think that with time she will grow into the bat well.
Ben
My granddaugher is a new player this year. She currently swings and Easton 31" 20 oz. She is 9 going on 10 but is 5'3" 115lbs. Is 20oz too light? Rick A
The weight of the bat is tough to say without knowing what her current bat speed and bat path look like. When recommending the weight of the bat we would defer to her local coaches. With that said, if she is using a 20 ounce bat now and is having no issues getting the bat through the zone then it may be beneficial to go up an ounce. Conversely, if she is having trouble getting 20 ounces through the zone then you would want to consider dropping in weight by an ounce or so.
Cameron
What is the difference between the 2015 CF7 -11 and the 2016 CF8 -11? Is the CF8 better in some way or are they the exact same bat? Sam
There are not many differences between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS and the DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS. What was changed in the CF8 model was the connection technology (using the D-Fusion 2.0 handle technology which will reduce overall vibration from off-centered hits) and Paradox Plus+ composite barrel was used to give the CF8 a larger sweet spot compared to the CF7.
Cameron
I have a CF8 with what appears to be a crack running diagonal vertically from the top. Does this mean it's broken or just a surface crack? It seemed to really get hot recently. Erik
It would be tough to say whether or not your DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFS is in need of a potentially warranty replacement. Based on your viewpoint that the bat is getting hotter we would be under the impression that this crack is more of a surface crack that is common when composite bats start to break in.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
