Description
TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO's industry-leading swing speed, massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This innovative material comprises both the barrel and handle which are united by Easton's patented 2-PC ConneXion Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with the connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. The MAKO's foundation is then optimized with one of the lightest swing weights on the market.
The Easton MAKO Youth Baseball Bat: YB16MK11 features a 2 1/4" barrel diameter, -11 length to weight ratio, new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip, and is Approved for Play in Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony, AABC and USSSA. Great Bat with Great Pop Joe R. parent
Pros: Everything - I won this bat from Just Bats during there Easton Mako sweepstakes last month. Pop right out of the wrapper. My son has been killing the ball with the New 2016 Mako. He was swinging a 31-19 Combat Maxxum but he loves this bat much more. Great looking bat. Great weight for my son who is 4'6" 92 lbs - he is swinging a 30/19 No Vibration at all.
Cons: There are No Cons on this bat as of yet. My son has only had the bat for three weeks but like I said this is a great bat.
Explosive POP! BW parent
Pros: Explosive POP, large sweet spot, awesome grip
Cons: weighs approx 1.5-2 oz more than advertised.
Doug Doug Canter coach
Pros: Kids love the bat, good pop, solid hits with it. Feels good looks good. Warranty center did replace it quickly.
Cons: We had an S1 and it cracked of course after warranty, Then bought the Torque and was not impressed. Now we just had to send in the 2016 Mako as it cracked. Has to be something they can do to sturdy it up, as my kid is cracking the ball and plays all year round
Amazing!!! Danny Weber Jr player
Pros: It is a very nicr bat. I like how the composite gives it more power and i hit my first home run this year but that was just practice.
Cons: I wish it could be a little colder temperature to because i live in the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and it doesnt fet that high of temperatures that much.
Parent Dave parent
Pros: Purchased this bat for son playing 10U travel. He's hitting better with this bat than older Easton S500C. Bat has alot of pop, he's hitting well struck balls on avg 20 feet further. I just think aluminum will last longer than the composite, we'll see.
Cons: pricey
awesome bat! Jeff T parent
Pros: my 8 year old went from a DeMarini CF8 to a new Mako, he's hitting the ball to the fence. He LOVES this bat!
Cons: He'll be outgrowing it too soon!
BUY THIS BAT Riley player
Pros: the bigger barrel help with the sweet spot so you can hit bad pitches.
Cons: its bad that you dont have this bat!! ??
8 yo old hit OVER the fence BoyMom parent
Pros: My 8 yo has been crushing the ball this season with this bat. He hit his 1st home run ever and it was OVER the fence! The umpire said it had to have gone at least 200 ft. He's hit it to the fence many times this season and has had 2 ground rule doubles when it bounced once and then went over the fence. Keep in mind he's a solid 80lbs and almost 9.
Cons: His twin brother is hitting better, but has not had quite as much success with this same bat. Bottom line, if your son/daughter has good technique it will make their hits go further. Just don't expect a miracle.
Easton 28inch Mako Bat Bill Brewer other
Pros: My grandson absolutely loves this bat. His hitting has improved and he likes the feel in his hands. The ball comes off the bat well.
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
Unbelievable Results Rick O parent
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. Tremwnd o us balance. Perfect swing weight. I would have never believed a bat could make that much difference. I was wrong. My son is 9 and ised a Demarini Distance for 3 years. It finally bent and had no pop. I bit the bullet and bought him the 29" -11 Mako. hFirst game he went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 5 RBIs. He absolutely loves the feel of this bat. He is 4 ' 5" and weighs 75 lbs and I dont dare pitch to him in the cage without a screen
Cons: uh....price, of course.
love my bat carter player
Pros: can crush it!
Cons: paint chips
great bat not worth the money adam coach
Pros: bat has great pop and good distance but durablilty is garbage bats only lasted 11 games this year before they broke. yes easton is replacing each one but 200 bucks should go further then 11 games.......
Cons: 3 kids on my nephews travel team have cracked these bats, 2 in one game 11 12 year olds no way they should be cracking poorly made
Disappointing Bat Steve coach
Pros: Great pop with very little vibration
Cons: We had 3 bats cracks this weekend in 90 degree weather. Very disappointing in the overall quality. Easton will replace since we are within the warranty but still very disappointing that we have to wait for the replacements.
actually have the 2014 model jason coach
Pros: my son, and a couple teammates have been using this bat for the third year now. regular season, all stars, travel ball, its gotten its use and then some. when you tap the handle of the bat now its sounds like its broken but i haven't found any cracks and it still hits just fine.100% will be getting another one when this one bites the dust. hands down the best bat Ive seen durability isn't an issue. bat has had thousands of swings.if you dont like the price buy them at the end of the year when they clearance them out.
Cons: nada
Absolutely amazing results Joe parent
Pros: Bat has so much pop it's silly. My 8 year old (average height and build) was constantly hitting balls into power alleys. Says when he hits the sweet spot he doesn't even feel it leave the bat.
Cons: Took a good 2-3 weeks to break in and that was hitting 50=100 balls a day,
GREAT POP TimothyBowlby #2 player
Pros: The pop on this bat is crazy! For sure recomend it.
Cons: none
Great Bats, No Durability Mike L parent
Pros: Great Bats. Fantastic jump on impact. Balanced feel.
Cons: On 3rd Mako since April. 3 bats in 4 months. And only being used by one kid. If you're using it every day, its cracking big time.
Balanced and heavy Jon Mansfield coach
Pros: Good pop, large sweet spot
Cons: If you've been swinging a -12 or -13 this is going to be a big adjustment...because MAKOs run very heavy, they are usually 1.5 - 3 oz heavier than stated.
great bat jake player
Pros: amazing, super light, great grip, great tranzition from my old bat
Cons: none
Paulie's Mako Bat Barbara Kuzminski other
Pros: He loves the colors and feel of the bat. The price is great
Cons: No Cons. Class piece of equipment.
Parent Jeff parent
Pros: Great bat with a lot of pop....
Cons: but be ready for it to get cracks in it within 7 weeks of use. I ordered this bat for Christmas for my 10 year old son and it already has cracks and needs to be replaced. I am surprised about this and would think that a new bat would last years.
11 Year Old Swinging 30-19 Mako AAU Baseball (U12) coach
Pros: * Ball really explodes off the bat (93 pound kid hitting it 250 feet) * Huge sweet spot * Very little vibration * Overall a great bat
Cons: * Bats simply crack and break to quickly... especially for a kid who has great bat speed. * Because it is so fragile... You can only really use it for games and not practices.
My review on the XL Seth #14 player
Pros: Lots of pop, and overall feel is great. Takes a little while to break in, but it's worth it.
Cons: Mine cracked after 1 1/2 seasons of use. ( 9 Months )
Best bat ive had jessie franko player
Pros: Great pop and great hitting
Cons: nothing
batters up Walker Sojourner player
Pros: im 13 and play for my middle school my last easton s600c broke in halfat the compositeso i was conflicted if i should buy the mako or not. but ill say this bat looks better in life than in pictures.this bat has unbeliveable pop from the start with out being rolled or maleted.
Cons: this bat is 3oz heaver than avertized so be care full. and if you hit on the bottom or very top of the barrel it hurts alot. but for this price you cant beat it.
Good on Pop - Weak on Durability Chris parent
Pros: Bat has tons of pop and is very balanced.
Cons: We have gone through 2 of these bats in less than a year. They are very prone to cracking.
Mako 2016! DaBeast player
Pros: awesome pop hitting bombs and good price. Also quality feel is amazing.
Cons: none
MAKO YOUTH BASEBALL BAT Timothy Bowlby player
Pros: Has great pop. The first couple of swings you can feel the ball jump right of the bat. Also since it is two piece their is no sting. I have had this bat for over a year now and now cracks are occurring.
Cons: The tape was good I just rather have lizard skins bat grip.
Mako 2016 T player
Pros: Great bat. Only reason i purhased is my son cracked his other one.
Cons: i wished it would have lasted a little longer. it is my son's last year of LL.
good bat Anthony player
Pros: very good once it is broken in. Hits dingers
Cons: takes a while to break in
Just what he wanted! Loren parent
