Description

Three-Piece Power just reached new heights with the Louisville Slugger Z4! The Z4 features a Pure 360 Composite Construction that alone would be enough for premium performance. But add in its TRU3 Technology, with a stiffer flex than last year's models, and you've got one of the biggest bomb-droppers in the game! The patented TRU3 allows for independent movement between the barrel and the handle which controls vibration and provides unmatched feel on contact. By controlling vibration, you are able to maintain acceleration through the impact with less worry of major hand sting, leaving you with the smoothest feeling swing possible while the aggressively end loaded swing weight of the SBZ4U16P places an extra 0.5 ounces of softball-crushing mass right in the hitting zone. Great Base Hit Bat Spawski player

Pros: This bat wasn't "fire" out of the wrapper but if you're playing in no HR tournaments this is a great bat. May change once it breaks in a little more but as of now it works great in base hit situations.

Cons: THE SOUND!

BAMMMM! K3 player

Pros: love this bat, pop is amazing right from the start cant wait to get it broken in!

Cons: probably is just from getting the cobs webs out but the grit on the barrel maybe doing just as advertised and putting alot of back spin on the ball making it float for along time

fantastic bat Hoss player

Pros: this bat is fantastic. I play in a very competitive legue where guys swing nothing but Worth and Mikens. We have to check bats every week and I noticed after the 1st 3 weeks everyones bats were failing so I bought this bat after seeing it test at 320 on YouTube. I purchased this bat and it tested 315 and the ball flys off it. The feel is great and the weighting is amazing. After 3 weeks of bp and games 2 nights a week and tournaments every weekend its still testing 290 and I love it. You can swing this bat forever and it will be legal. Buy this with confidence it wont let you down.

Cons: the grip is great but I've changed it to tape cause I like a little thinner handle.

Pros: Love the grip the feel of this bat is amazing

Cons: you can square it up on the sweet spot but it still goes nowhere. Great if you want to place it just behind the infield but terrible if you are looking to burn someone

Bat is a MACHINE! Scott Kravitz player

Pros: Once u get a feel for the sweet spot, you'll be burning people game in and game out. Great thick grip! Graphics are not neon or over the top. Professional looking bat. Almost zero vibration on contact!

Cons: Sound isnt bad. but it is diff! might even intimidate players and give you an edge. Make sure if you usually use a 27oz that u go with the 26.5. and like wise for other weights. the 0.5 is heavier than you think.

Bats are discontinued at the discretion of the manufacturer unfortunately, not us. Bats become discontinued when the manufacturer decides to no longer produce them in their factories/warehouses. About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
