We can really only suggest a length based on height and weight. The weight of the bat is dependent upon how strong the player is.

I checked my daughters bat, she has a Louisville slugger Jessica Mendoza bat, 32 in, 19 oz and -13. She is 12 about 5'2" & 110 lbs. Would the 2017 Combat Madison Shipman -10 be a good bat for her? I really know nothing about bats and sizes and all that stuff. Stacie Herman
The 2017 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP7TC110 would work well for her, but a 32" 22oz. bat might be a bit heavy since she is used to a -13. I would probably look at a Madison Shipman in a -11 or -12 model.

The 2017 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7TC110) does feature a fully composite design. It will not have that "ping" song of an aluminum bat, it will have more of the thumping sound that a typical composite bat features.

Yes, the 2017 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7TC110) does have Performance Enhancing Disc (PED) Technology as the 2016 version of this bat does. Also, I am not sure why Combat went with a lower MSRP on the 2017 version than the 2016 version.

The longer barrel and extended sweet spot should make it easier for her to hit the ball on the sweet spot more often, as well as not get jammed as much by inside pitches as often. There weren't any significant changes from the 2016 to the 2017 model.

Does this bat have a temperature recommendation on it? My daughter plays in several different seasons and plays in all different types of temperatures and weather conditions. Jodi
While we don't receive any temperature recommendation limits from manufacturers about their bats, typically we advise customers to try not use bats in 45 degrees or lower temperatures. That seems to be a decent guideline from what we've seen, but nothing scientific. If you do need to play in that weather, having a backup bat of some sort is a good suggestion.

I’m seeing this bat as being discontinued but my daughter plays 14U softball now and this was actually her 1st bat in 6th grade. She used that bat, as well as other girls on her team, and was a great bat through this past summer. She’s becoming a power hitter and actually broke the inside of the bat during 1 of the tournaments. I’m currently in search for this bat again but cannot find it. We have found another bat that she likes but it’s nothing compared to this one. I’d love to purchase it again if possible. Will these bats ever be available?
