Description

New for The COMBAT MAXUM is back and continues to push the limits to new heights. COMBAT has made a name for themselves with the MAXUM in the bat industry by consistently delivering an extreme combination of an ultra-balanced feel, extremely fast swing weights, a HUGE sweet spot, and unparalleled performance. This COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 provides hitters with an almost unfair sweet spot that is 20-40% larger than competitor models! The MAXUM barrel covers more of the plate for more bases and more runs. Switching to the SL7MX110 will also result in an average of 38% Swing Weight Reduction which is the lowest swing weight ever! These models are one-piece, fully composite designs crafted with a seamless construction. A carbon-fiber sleeve runs the length of the bat providing uniform strength for a fine-tuned performance. Unlike typical composite bats that are created by rolling or overlapping layers of material, the MAXUM is produced with advanced Precision Molding Technology (PMT). The PMT process injects liquid resin into seamless high-quality carbon sleeves under extreme pressure. The result is an ultra-consistent product that eliminates seams and weak points that you get with the traditional process. No seams means no dead spots and in on the hands doesn't have to mean out at first base. Players can rest assured that the MAXUM will deliver perfectly tuned performance over a longer lifespan. COMBAT is so sure of this ground-breaking design, each baseball bat is backed by a full twelve (12) month warranty and a 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee! If you're not satisfied with the performance of the MAXUM within 30 days from your purchase, send it back to JustBats.com for a full refund or exchange. Additionally, the SL7MX110 features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Certification, a -10 length to weight ratio, and a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter. COMBAT: Measure Up to MAXUM! Serious bat for serious players Trey Mcgraw parent

Pros: My 11 year old son is 5'3" 110 pounds and plays travel ball on a couple different teams across the Midwest. We tried this bat on the recommendation of his Swing Coach. We noticed a lot of pop out of the wrapper. My son has tremendous bat speed so the exit velocity was unreal. Also on the off chance he did have a mishit, the large sweet spot still sent the ball flying. Had seen mention of some sting in the hands, but my son hasn't complained once about that. But then again the vibration usually happens on mishits. Not sure how it will hold up over the vigorous tournament schedule on tap for this spring but everything so far has been great.

Cons: none so far

Great Bat with alot of Pop! Coach Shockwave coach

Pros: This is the first combat I have ever bought. The bat is pretty good out of the wrapper but after about 250 swings, it gets HOT! I would never spend money on a Zen when I could buy a bat like this for less money with the same pop!

Pop right out of the wrapper! Seth Williamson parent

Pros: My 11 yo son increased his batting average from .250 to .544 in 5 games with this bat. The ball flies off of this bat like a rocket! The large sweet spot is really helping out. Now 4 other kids have ordered the bat and are also seeing the difference.

Cons: No cons as of now.

Good Pop, Great Bat so far Welden parent

Pros: My son plays 10u travel ball. He has used the bat in the first two tournaments and hit one out in the second tournament. If you hit the ball well it will go, if you miss hit it, your in trouble. The very end, about 2 inches seems like a dead spot to hit it. Anywhere else your in good shape. I would recommend it. Good confidence builder. Third combat to own and have been please with everyone.

Cons: Stings the hands a little. Mishits on end of bat don't go out of infield.

Yes Sir! Happy Dad/ Coach coach

Pros: Massive Sweet Spot Balanced Feels lighter than -10 Pop...Lots of Pop The length of the sweet spot of the barrel is industry defining technology due to the one piece composite as understand. They don't need the extra few inches to weld two pieces together. Also, the pop is legit. My kids say the swing weight feels as light as their -12's, which tells me it has great balance.

Cons: Last 2 inches near the end of bat is a big dead spot. Mishits at that location seam to have even less pop than other bats, at the same locations. But it's made up for in the massive pop in the correct sweet spot of the barrel (which is extremely large. Vibration like at the dead spots (last two inches of bat, and far inside). Can be easily managed with a rubber taper or a rubber vibration knob. The pop from the sweet spots makes you not really care about vibration from a mishit.

Durability 5-star Mitchell coach

Pros: Adding durability to the Pros...sons used this over 21 games, and 2 practices per week now for the entire spring & summer. Also every other week, hitting in the cages. Bat is maybe better now, than ever. Pop is on the same level as the CAT7, which has also alot of pop for a youth bat. Where MAXUM separates itself from the CAT7 is the length of the sweet spot. Maxums sweet spot extends about 2 inches further in toward the handle, which is a massive sweet spot.

Cons: vibration at the very end of the bat. Hit it anywhere else on the barrel and watch it fly. As others have posted. Maybe the last inch or two inches of bat has vibration & dead spot.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How would this bat compare to the COMBAT Bubba in regard to barrel length, pop, etc.? The Kid
Although the exact technologies that went into the two bats were a little different, this 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) and the past Bubba models from COMBAT were comparable bats. Both bats featured pretty length barrels and both have received great reviews from customers.
Ben
Would you recommend this bat in the 29" or 30" for a 10 year old who is 4'7" and 85 lbs? kiki
Based on the players current height and weight, we suggest a 29" model in the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110.
Jason
My son is playing kid pitch U8 next spring. He used a 26 inch, 15 ounce bat in U7. I'm looking to upgrade to a new 2 5/8 bat for next year. Do you think 27 inch 17 ounce would be too much of jump? Son is about 51 inches and 60 pounds. Yhong
It's hard to say for certain without knowing how well he handled the 26" 15oz model he used to have, but I think going up to a 27" 17oz model would be fine, depending on his strength and how much he naturally grows.
Kyle J.
What size would you recommend for an 11 year old boy who is 5'5" and 115 lbs? spudkuz
Based upon your player's height and weight, my general recommendation for a size of this 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) would be a 31" length bat as long as you feel that you can handle the subsequent 21 oz weight.
Ben
What size bat does my son need? He is 13, 5'3" and 110 pounds. Ant
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 31" model of the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110.
Jason
My son is 5'5" and and a little over 100 lbs. He killed the 31" Maxum drop 10 but felt is was light. Considering a 32" drop 10 or a 31" drop 8 but we can't demo either one. Thoughts on which way to go? Davis
Based on your sons height and weight I would recommend getting the 31"/23oz 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -8 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX108).
Carter
My son is 130 lbs. Plays select ball. What drop is best for him. He usually has a 31" with -10. kam
If he is comfortable with what he is using I would recommend sticking with a 31"/21 ounce. If that is starting to feel a little bit light your son can move up for a -8.
Carter
Is this bat legal for Cal Ripken 12u? DIEZEL
Unfortunately, Cal Ripken tournaments require a 2 1/4" barrel diameter, whereas the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter.
Logan
Would recommend this bat or the 2016 MAKO BEAST -10 big barrel? angela
It would be tough to say one is better than the other performance wise. The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 has a little longer barrel which gives it a larger sweet spot, but the MAKO is our best selling bat.
Logan
My son is 4'7", 70 lbs and has been using an Easton S3, 28" -10 for the past two years. Would a 29" be okay, and would it matter if a -10 or -12? How does this bat compare to the Easton S3? Squibob
Based on your son's height and weight, a 29 inch bat would be a good size to get. As for the weight, this will depend on the weight of his most current bat and how you and/or his local coaches feel he was/is capable of handling this weight. If the 18 ounce bat felt too heavy then a drop 12 would be a better option. If he was handling the 18 ounce Easton S3 just fine then moving to a 29/19 would be a good route to take. The main differences between the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 and the Easton S3 will be the balance feel and the material used to make the bats. Both bats are one-piece bats with the MAXUM being fully composite and the Easton S3 fully alloy. Although both bats are labeled as balanced bats, the extended barrel of the MAXUM will make this bat more evenly balanced as well as featuring a slightly larger sweet spot.
Cameron
What is difference from maxsl110 2015 Combat Maxum -10 senior league bat and the 2017 Combat Maxum -10 sl7mx110? Juno
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 features greater swing weight reduction than previous models, making the bat much more balanced.
Logan
What is the difference (other than the color) between the model SL7MX110 and the SL7MX210? Chris
This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) will feature a 2 5/8" barrel diameter on it while the SL7MX210 features a slightly larger 2 3/4" barrel diameter. That is the difference between the two bats besides the color.
Ben
My son currently uses a 2016 26/16 Easton S3 at his Pony League. I'm now looking to upgrade to a 27/17 and was entertaining this bat but wasn't too sure if it's Pony approved. Tortuga
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 is approved for Pony League play as it has a barrel diameter of 2 5/8".
Cameron
Does this bat have a warranty with Combat not being in business? JJ
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 does come with a warranty, it will just be handled by us at JustBats.com instead of the manufacturer.
Logan
What does fully composite mean? Dale Hawthorne
"Fully Composite" means that the entire bat is made of composite material, aka the bat, handle, endcap, and knob.
Kyle J.
Could you tell me the difference between a 2 3/4 barrel and 2 5/8? Which would you recommend? Also, my son has a 27/17 right now. Thinking of either 28/18 or 28/17? What do you recommend? BP73
The main difference is that a 2 3/4" barrel diameter is larger than a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, making the walls a bit thinner than the 2 5/8" version. At higher pitch velocities (65-70) this can cause durability issues. I can't really recommend a size without knowing the rough height and weight of the player.
Kyle J.
I have twin boys they both weight 90 lbs and are 4'5" in height they have been using Easton bat 29 inch -10 2 1/4. I would like to get them a big barrel in the Combat Maxum. What would you recommend 30 inch -10 -11 -12? Scott
I would probably stick with the same drop they have been using at a -10, that way they can adjust to a bat that's only 1 oz heavier.
Kyle J.
My son is 11, 4'10" and 104 lbs. He plays travel. Currently he is swinging a 2016 28"/18 oz MAKO TORQ. I'm looking for the hottest bat option, as well as the best size to suit him. What are your recommendations? Arron
Based upon your player's height and weight, I am thinking he would be able to use a 30"/20 oz size (maybe 29"/19 oz size if you think the jump to 30"/20 oz would be too much). This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) would be a great option to consider in the 30"/20 oz size. Another great COMBAT to consider would be the 2016 COMBAT VIGOR -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (VIGSL110).
Ben
What is (-8), (-10), (-12) on a bat? How to select the best bat from my son, he used 31/22 but I don't know negative number on the bat and what it means. Luis
The negative number that you are seeing is the "drop, or length to weight ratio. You get this number by taking the length minus the weight. For example 31-22=9. So your sons last bat was a -9. I hope this makes sense!
Carter
Can you use this bat in Little League for Juniors? zach
This 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) would not be allowed in the Junior Division of Little League as it has a composite barrel and USSSA 1.15 BPF certification. If you have a composite barreled bat in the Junior Division, it has to feature BBCOR .50 certification.
Ben
what is the difference with the SL7MX110 and the SL7MX210 Sparty
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, and the SL7MX210 features a 2 3/4" barrel diameter.
Logan
Is this the best bat for the buck? Is it a great performer? Brian Beidatsch Sr.
The Combat bats are currently all selling for great prices and are great performing bats. The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) is no exception.
Carter
My son 56 inches tall and weighs 80 lbs. What size bat is recommended? dad
We would recommend about a 29" length of bat for his size.
Kyle J.
Does this have a BBCOR stamp? Lin
No, the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 does not feature the BBCOR certification. It is only USSSA 1.15 BPF certified.
Jason
How does the 30 day warranty work for the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM? Does the bat still have to be in the wrapper if you don't like it and want to return it? #7biggestfan
A bat that features a 30 day guarantee, like the 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 currently does, means a customer can use the bat within the 30 days from the purchase date and if they do not like it they can send it back to the retailer for an exchange or refund of their purchase price (even though the bat has been used).
Cameron
Does this bat meet the new 2018 bat standards for Pony Baseball? Will it have the "USABat" stamp? pony
No, it will not be legal under the USABat standard next year. Currently there are no bats available that are legal under the 2018 standard. We estimate manufacturers will release those bats around August/September.
Kyle J.
My son currently plays Little League and is on a Travel Team. Could he use this bat for Little League and would he be able to use it next year as well? Baseball Mom
The 2017 Combat Maxum -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7MX110) is not approved for play in Little League. For 2017, Little League will require all bats to have a 2 1/4" barrel diameter. Starting in 2018 Little League will allow bats to have a 2 5/8" but they must have the new USA Baseball stamp. We are expecting to begin receiving the 2018 bats with the new USA Baseball stamp in early September.
John
Where is the 2017 made from? Is this model still made in Canada as compared to the 2018 being made in China? Rachelle
The 2017 COMBAT MAXUM -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL7MX110 was designed in Canada and manufactured in China.
Cameron
Considering this bat for fall travel ball. Being composite, what temperatures are too cold for this bat to be used? Heard Combat pushed the limits on this too. Coach Mike
There is no specific temperature limit prescribed for composite bats, but we generally suggest trying to avoid temperatures somewhere around 50-55 degrees if at all possible as a safe guideline.
