the elite's barrel looks a little bit bigger than the elements barrel, are they different sizes, or am i wrong?
They are both 2 5/8 inch barrels.

Both will be very balanced in feel

Admittedly, BBCOR bats do hit differently, not sure about lagging though.

I have not heard on this issue, the bat is under warranty for 1 year. You can send the bat to the manufacture and they will replace it.

Yes, the L170 is a wood bat. The L130 is a half and half design with a composite handle and an alloy barrel.

I will not have a ping sound because it is composite wood.

This will be a pretty good performing hybrid BBCOR bat. It may not be a top-tier bat, but it's definitely better than a lot of others. The handle's really just a personal preference. I know some people who like it, and others who just can't get used to it.

The Axe handle just gives the hitter more control and a better grip. It also helps the hitter make sure they are holding the bat properly.

Both bats are BBCOR certified making them legal for play in High School and at all college levels.
We live in Colorado and our spring season is cool at best, how does this bat react to 60 degree temps, sometimes cooler?
It should still be ok in 60 degrees, but I would be careful going much below that.
