What bat is more like the cf4 st the combat b3 or easton xL1?
The XL1 is most like the CF4 because it is also a two-piece full composite bat.
for a newcomer using bbcor would you recomend this bat, the easton omen, or the cf5 2012?
That depends on the type of bat you have used previously with success. I recommend sticking with what is most similar to the non-BBCOR bat you have been using. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.

The COMbat B3 AB BBCOR is a balanced bat.

Now that the B4AB BBCOR bat is out, will the price drop?
Our product managers will adjust the price of the COMbat B3 based on COMbat's suggested retail price and our inventory levels.
Can the B3 compete with other brands like Louisville or Easton or Demarini? And how can you break this in fastest?
The COMbat B2 AB BBCOR will be very comparable to the Louisville,Easton, and DeMarini. The best way to break in a composite bat is to take 100-200 swings off of a tee or soft toss. Rotate the barrel 1 1/4 inch each swing. We recommend avoiding using your composite bat in batting cages that use yellow dimpled balls.
Does this bat have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp?
No this particular model of the COMbat B3, the AB BBCOR: B3AB1, is BBCOR certified and does not have the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp. Do all BBCOR bats have the same amount of pop?
No, not all BBCOR bats have the same amount of pop. This COMbat B3 AB BBCOR: B3AB1 would be a great option. Here is a link to our top selling BBCOR bats. http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~adult/approved%20for~bbcor/
I'm 6'2 or 6'3 weigh between 165-170. Should I stick with a 33-30 or go up a size as the chart showed I should be using a 34-31?
According to our Bat Coach, the suggested length for your particular height and weight is a 33 in. 30 oz. bat. Depending on your strength, you could move up an inch. The link to our Bat Coach is http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Hi, Is this bat end-loaded?
The B3 does not feel end loaded like some other BBCOR bats. It's a well balanced bat.
My sons is a high speed hitter and he wants to buy a B3 or the Marucci White. Please compare.
Both of these bats would be great for a power hitter. The main difference between the two is the B3 is a composite bat, while the CAT 5 is an all alloy bat. The B3 will require a break in and will perform better over time, while the CAT 5 will be hot right out of the wrapper. Based on what our customers say, you might get more pop out of a composite bat though. Both bats are great bats, and it just comes down to what material you prefer more.
I'm a freshman and I cant use my Easton Stealth anymore because it isn't -3 and not BBCOR approved. I'm like a contact hitter. I hit for contact and get a lot of power out of it. Should i get this or a Voodoo or CF5?
Each of these bats is made differently and are all great bats. The COMbat B3 is a one piece composite bat, which is usually better suited for power hitters, since it is pretty stiff and is a one piece design. Contact hitters can certainly use a once piece bat if they want to though. If you are more of a contact hitter, a two piece bat might be better suited for you. The DeMarini Voodoo is a two piece, alloy barrel/composite handle bat and the CF5 is a two piece composite handle/composite barrel bat. The main difference between these is the Voodoo will not require a break in and will be hot right out of the wrapper. Since the CF5 has a composite barrel, it will require a break in and will perform better over time. All three of these bats are great choices and you can't really go wrong with either!
Without being biased, which bat would you reccomend buying: this bbcor b3 or the 5150 velo bat by rawlings? How do they compare?
Depends on the hitter. The Velo will have a lighter swing weight and I would recommend that one for a contact hitter looking to improve swing speed. The B3 may feel a little more endloaded and is great for stronger hitters with good swing speed
Is the COMbat a composite bat that can be used in the cold? Is it worth the $350?
The B3AB1 is some of the best money can buy. We suggest no to use composite bats in temperatures less than 55 degrees.
Which bat is better for a power hitter the Voodoo or Combat B3?
One piece bats like the B3 are better suited for power hitters.
Is this bat end loaded like a wooden bat
The B3 is a balanced bat.
My son used combat in little league and pony, great pop, amazing, but the bat cracked too easy,is this one different, not gonna spend $349 if its gonna always crack??
This bat is going to be a lot more durable, not like the older Combats that he is used to swinging! Great pop as well!
Which is better for a balanced hitter, the voodoo or this bat?
The Voodoo is going to be a Two-Piece bat. Two-Piece bats allow for a lot more flex when you swing. This allows the bat to be more balanced as well. The Voodoo will be your best bet.
Is this bat for line drive hitters or power hitters
This bat is going to be more designed for power hitters due to the fact it is a one piece bat.
This bat is going to be a one-piece composite with a balanced swing weight. This bat is going to be made for both types of hitters
my son is 13yrs old--6-4 200lb incrediable power! should i use 32--33in...swing speed and control,,witch bat is better? new red and white rip it or b3
With his height, and size he should be able to use the 33-30 easily. As to which bat, tough call, both are going to offer what he needs as a power hitter, the one piece bats suit power hitters best. As to which one would be better, the Prototype II is an all alloy bat with great pop, nicely balanced. The Combat is a 1 piece all composite, it is what is called power balanced for strong hitters. The decision comes down to composite versus alloy, and what his preference is.
whats the best temperature to use the combat
Anything above 50 degrees is the best temperature
how is it different than besr b1ab will it get better with prolonged use what temp should it not be used in
BBCOR bats will have thicker walls and it will take the bat more time before it is broken in. This bat should not be used in temps less than 60 degrees.
My son had very good success with the B2 youth. He will playing u13 now and needs a drop 3. He is very much a power hitter. How does the B3 compare to the B2? What other bats would it make sense for him to consider?
the B3 is very comparable to the B2 they both have a lot of pop and a similar feel. I would also look at the XL1 or the prototype 2
How does this bat compare to the Easton Omen BBCOR and the better Rip It BBCORS? Son is 5'7 170lbs used Omen -5 last year and loved it.
They both will be composite barrels, the main difference will be the Omen is a two piece while the B3 is a one piece. It will come down to personal preference because they both are great bats.
Is this bat "balanced" i.e. weighted for lower MOI and NOT end loaded?
Yes, this bat is going to be a balanced bat. It is going to be one of the more balanced bats on the market for BBCOR bats. This bat is also going to have great durability and be able to be used for a long time.
Was really set on the combat B3 until marucci black came out recently. I understand that one is composit and one is two piece combo. What else could you say from actual experience or customers experience? I am 6' and 150 lbs 14.5 year old freshman. Not really a homerun hitter these days but get on base a lot. thanks.
The Marucci might better suit you, if you are a contact hitter.
What is the main difference between the composite Combat B3 and the Rip-It aluminum? Besides price?
Combat has made some incredible composite bats, they have huge sweet spots and amazing pop. They do require just a little break in to reach their maximum performance level. But awesome once you do. The Prototype is great for an aluminum, they have the more immediate pop, and nicely balanced.
Which bat do you feel is the best BBCOR composite bat on the market? The Cf5, this bat, one of the composite power brigades or is there another you feel is better?
They are all top of the line bats, the main difference is just the way each bat feels, this bat is going to be stiff and balanced, just like the power brigades and the cat 5. the cf5 is going to have more flex and a slight end load
Which bat is more end weighted this bat or the 52 caliber?
This one is slightly more end weighted than the 52 Caliber.
How does this bat compare to the combat bbcor 52 caliber?
The B3 is designed almost the same. One piece, HUGE sweetspot, the 52 is slightly more balanced, both are all composite and do require a break in period.
Which bat has more balance Combat B3 or the Marucci Cat 5
The B3 has amazing balance for a 1 piece composite. And the Cat5 is also extremely well balanced. Honestly, biggest decision to make with these is alloy vs composite.
Which bat is a better bat for a power hitter the Combat B3 or the Marucci Cat 5?
Both are one-piece bats that are great for power hitters. I would give the B3 an edge in terms of pop. The Cat 5 is one of the best alloy bats on the market and it a great choice as well.
How would you go along breaking this bat in? Would hitting of a tee do it?
About 150 - 200 hits off a tee would work great. Be sure to start off at about 40% power and gradually work your way to 100% power as you get closer to the 200 hit mark. Also make sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch between each hit to ensure an even break in.
I'm 5'7" and about 190 lbs and i consider my self to be a power hitter. Where I live it is very cold during my season would this be a good bat for me?
The B3 is a stiff one-piece bat that's often preferred by power hitters. It is a full composite bat and when it's colder than about 55 or 60 degrees, I would restrict it's use to games only.
Out of B3 AB,52 Caliber, and the Z1000 which would you recommend?
This is a great link that we have that helps pick out the perfect bat for someone; http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Will composite barrel bats make as big as a difference with BBCOR standards as it did in BESR? Once broken in, composite bats had much more pop than aluminum
The composite bats do make a difference in BBCOR standards. They do tend to have more pop than aluminum once they are broken in.
General question regarding 100% composite and 50/50-composite handle / alloy barrel. I've read that hitting with composite bats should be avoided in cooler weather 60 to 65 degrees as there is danger of damaging or cracking the bat. Is this factual and will the 50/50 bat hold up better that 100% composite?
Never leave any bat, especially a composite bat, in cold weather for an extended period of time. Cold weather is very bad on composites. So make sure when you get home you take it with you into your warm house. Never hit a composite bat in weather below 65 degrees or it will have a greater chance of breaking.
Would this be a good bat for a contact hitter? If not what is? And how does this bat compare to the combat 52 caliber
The B3AB1 is an excellent bat for contact hitters. Huge sweetspot, nice balance, great pop!
I am 6'4" 210 and i am mostly a line drive hitter but i have some power. Which would be the best for me; the COMbat B3 or the 52 Caliber?
The B2 is a little stiffer so it would be better for a power hitter. The B3 would be more for line drive hitters.
My son has a B3 32/29. compare the pop from this bat w/other
All composite bats are going to have great pop. This is one of the best BBCOR models out there. Combat uses a brand new technology call Membrane Modal Control. This allows the bat to maintain the highest possible performance levels. The B3 does have a bigger sweet spot than most of the other BBCOR bats.
i am looking for a bat for my son. He is 5'6 and 150 pound power hitter. is this bat for him?
This is going to be a good bat for power hitters. Composite bats will cause the ball to come off the barrel a little better. This is going to one of the top of the line BBCOR bats that we do offer.
Is there a better bat for a middles schooler/high schooler who is 5'7 145?
Excellent choice of this one. Combat has a really nig sweet spot, nice balance, incredible pop once broken in.
My son a 16 year old two hole hitter that is basically a gap hitter but has some power. I am looking at a BBCORE bats. Would you recommend the Combat B3, the Demarini CF5 or one of the new Eastons for him. He is 5ft 7 140 pounds
All three of those options are going to be great bats, the Combat B3 is going to be a stiffer bat than the other two which means that he will need to generate a little more power behind his swing to a whip through the hitting zone, the demarini CF5 and the the Easton bats are going to be two piece all composite bats, this is going to give the hitter more whip through the zone without having to generate as much power. The main difference between the CF5 and an Easton bat like the S1 is that the Cf5 is going to be much more of an endloaded bat and the S1 is more of a balanced feel.
I am looking for the most balanced bat with the most pop. If you were looking for the same qualifications in a bat would it be the B3? If not, what are some other options that would be the best under these qualifications?
This bat has a nice balance, great pop! So is the Easton Omen, it is designed to have the low MOI for a lighter swing.
This bat will be an excellent choice under those qualifications. The B3 has a balanced weight and very good POP. Some other bats that will be similar are the Cat 5 and the Rawlings 5150.
will maple bats perform as well as bbcor?
Not quite. Although the new BBCOR certifcation will make non-wood bats perform more like wood bats, BBCORs will still perform better and at a more consistent level compared to wood bats.
With all bbcor performing like wood can a maple wood bat perform equal to or better than the b-3?
Although BBCOR bats will perform more like wood bats, they still gave them some leeway and BBCORs won't be exactly the same as a maple wood bat. A regular maple wood bat won't compare to the B3 in terms of overall feel, performance, and durability.
is this bat better than the COMbat 52 Caliber AB BBCOR: 52 CALAB1 Adult
Both bats are good options. The B3 will have a bigger sweet spot and a little more "pop".
I am looking for a balanced BBCOR bat, how does the Combat B3 swing? More specifically, when comparing the Combat B3 to the Demarini CF5 which bat is better balanced? Do you have any other recommendations?
The more balanced bat out of these 2 is going to be the B3. The CF5 is one of the hottest bats on the market and the B3 is right behind it. If you are really concerned with having a balanced bat, I would go with this one.
How does the B3 Compare to the Rip-it??
In terms of performance, I think it's a close call between the B3 and Rip It Prototype BBCOR bats. However, the B3AB1 is a composite bat that will require a break-in period before it performs at it's best. A lot of customers have said the B3 is one of the best BBCOR bats on the market. I also really liked the feel of the B3 (a little more than the Rip-It).
Would this be a good bat for a power hitter?
This is going to be a good bat for power hitters. The composite in the bat is really going to cause the ball to go off of the barrel a little better. This is going to one of the top of the line BBCOR bats that we do offer.
is this the best bbcor on the market if not what in ur opinion wat is?
In my honest opinion, there's not just one BBCOR bat that's head and shoulders above the rest. I've hit with most of the BBCOR bats and a few that top my list(in no particular order) are the: Nike Aero MC2 BT0633, COMbat B3 B3AB1, Rawlings 5150 BBCA, Rip-It Prototype PROB, and DeMarini CF5 DXCFC. All of these are high performing BBCOR bats.
Will any regulations that could come active prohibit this bat from being legal in the future?
This bat will be active for use in the upcoming years. The BBCOR standards are brand new standards and they will be around for a long time. You should not have any reservations about buying a BBCOR bat, they will be around.
Is there any other bat that you would recommend over this one? how does it compare to other popular bbcor's, like the new voodoo, the 2011 surge, exo, etc? And also, what bbcor bat other than this one would you recommend, because the price on this is pretty overwhelming.
It's always difficult to recommend on particular bat over another because so many players have different preferences or ideas about what they look for in a bat. I definitly would't hesitate to recommend the B3AB1, if it meets the player's criteria because it will be one of the better performing BBCOR bats out there. Other bats that display similar performance are the Nike BT0633, DeMarini Voodoo, Louisville Exogrid, and Rip-It Prototype.
how do i know this is the best bbcor bat on the market today
According to Combat, this bat features a brand new technology call Membrane Modal Control. This allows the bat to maintain the highest possible performance levels without surpassing the BBCOR standards for the entire lifespan of the bat. I've hit with it and it feels great. It would be hard to reccommend any other BBCOR bat over this one.
Will this bat be permitted for all organized tournments and leagues in middle school and High school and traveling leagues this yr and going forward
Yes. This bat is BBCOR certified and it is made to be 100% legal this year, next year and beyond.
