Description

The -10 CF6 is the leader of the pack in the DeMarini fastpitch lineup. The WTDXCFP is designed for stud players that demand the best feel, sound, and performance that a fastpitch bat can offer. This year's CF6 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. That's due to the all new Paradox Composite barrel and handle on this two-piece design. Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The Paradox handle is designed stiff so that players can get an even better feel for the sweet spot, while continuing to produce a powerful, consistent swing. The CF6 features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, a Clutch End Cap dampens vibration for an incredibly smooth swing. If you want to give yourself the absolute best chance to succeed, it's the CF6 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF6 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: 12 yr old daughter loves this bat. First ups with it was double to the fence. Second up was out of the park home run! This bat is excellent right out of the box. Power hitters will love it. Best bat purchase we ever made.

Pros: My 16 year old daughter has just moved up from a CF4 Hope and this bat appears to be everything DeMarini promises. Bat has a different sound to the CF4 but the ball still jumps of the bat. I'm not sure if the sweet spot is any bigger then the CF4 but definitely have not traded down. Quality product from a quality company.

Cons: You will pay for this bat but what price can you put on safe hits?

Pros: This thing is so hot. My 16yr old daughter took bp the other night with this bat. She had 20 pitches and hit 7 jacks. Including one about 320ft. She also hit one out to the opposite field off the tip in her last game.

Cons: None.

Pros: NONE.

Cons: My DD is 14 and has been swinging an H2 and Xeno. Thought we would buy something different...BIG MISTAKE! Used the bat in one game and it vibrated her hands so bad that she refused to use it again. I had 2 different teammates swing the bat and both had the same vibration issue. I sent the $300 bat back literally 6 days after my purchase! They sent it back and said that it wasn't cracked so they would not replace it but the 11 1/2 month warranty was still valid. What's the warranty going to do if she won't swing it because it hurts her hands. Batting cages here we come. A crack you want you'll get it.

Pros: 17 Year old daughter plays for one of the better 18 Gold teams and absoultely loves this bat! The stiffer handle allows her to hit rocket line drive shots and the bat has a longer bigger sweet spot! After our terrible Xeno experience ( 3 broken bats in 9 months) she happy and so am I!

Great bat don't let the End Loaded scare you John parent

Pros: Great pop. My 13 year old daughter hasn't totally gotten used to the bat yet but she is hitting this bat great and loves it. She isn't a huge kid either at around 110 lbs. But if your daughter has good swing speed this is the bat for her.

Cons: None as of yet. Price maybe, but all high end bats are expensive.

Worth every penny fpdad parent

Pros: My 13yr old daughter is in her 1st year but is working hard and improving so I decided to reward her with a good bat to replace her cheapo. 1st batting practice and the difference is crazy. The ball flies off this bat, even for a kid with very little coaching and still needing plenty work on her mechanics. She hit some hard line drives and blasted one ball probably twice as far as anything she's hit yet. The Demarini cf6 is a real difference maker!

The New Demerini -Softballgal44 player

Pros: It looks cool

Cons: This bad has no durability it cracks so easily and it has no pop compared to the previous CF5.My bat cracked with barley any use,and it seems to me that my bat seems dead because when i hit the ball just dies and you can hear and feel that there is no pop. Also the gripping is to short it needs to be wrapped higher up the handle of the bat.

Great bat and service! Keith parent

Pros: We originally bought the DXCFI insane in 32/22, but my dd felt it was a bit short. Justbats took the return back prior to the Demarini 30 day money back guarantee expired. Justbats did this as a one time courtesy for us instead of sending it straight back to Demarini! The DXCFI is a great one, but my dd liked the feel of the 33/23 DXCFP her teammate has. The DXCFP has just as much pop as the DXCFI (or so she says).

Cons: Really none. Doesn't sound like a Xeno (more like the older Stealth) but hits it just as far. No vibrations...not sure why the other reviewer said that it was a problem.

Pros: Right out of the box this bat has major pop. My 13 year old daughter used a Worth Sick for most of the season, broke 1 a month in and the replacement is sounding weird. I hit maybe 50 ground balls in warms ups with it and it has big time power. This bat has made me a fan of 2 piece construction.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I have heard this bat has higher exit speeds than the Xeno. Have you guys heard or experienced that? Softballjunkie
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a very balanced bat. The new clutch end cap does provide a more balanced bat than last year. The 2013 Louisville Slugger Xeno is a balanced bat as well.
Kara
Is this bat end loaded or balanced in weight? Kenz
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat features a balanced swing weight. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane would be the same model, but features an end loaded feel.
Mac
How does the 2014 DeMarini CF6 -10 compare to the 2013 DeMarini CF5 -10? loy
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch has the new Paradox compostite for a bigger, hotter sweet spot.
Chad M.
What does it mean, "hot out of the wrapper?" Do you still need to break this bat in like most composite bats? Or, can you get it and start using it immediately? TBU01-Dad
Hot out of the wrapper means no break-in period required for the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat.
Brandon
Is there a big difference between the CF5 and the new CF6? TBU01-Dad
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch uses new Paradox composite for a larger sweet spot and higher performance. It will also require less break-in time than the 2013 DeMarini CF5.
Kara
Will they come out with a 2014 DeMarini CF5, or is this the new bat for 2014? Shock
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is the 2014 model of the CF5. They've upgraded the composite in the 2014 CF6 to the paradox composite for a bigger, hotter sweet spot and a shorter break-in period.
Katie
Will they make a CF6 baseball bat? Rimel
DeMarini will be releasing the 2014 CF6 later on in the fall.
Robert
Is the CF6 that much better than the CF5? Is it worth the few extra dollars? Softballer06
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat is definitely worth the extra cost. It will feature DeMarini's new Paradox composite which will make the bat have a stiffer, more powerful feel. Also, the CF6 will be super light and balanced. It will have a bigger and hotter sweet spot. The bat will come hot right out of the wrapper.
Brandon
My daughter is 5'8" 130 lbs. Should we go with 33/23 or 34/24? kalo
Based on her size, a 34" model of the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat is recommended.
Tyler
I'm more of a power hitter. I was wondering what bat you think would be better for me. The Insane or the DXCFP Fastpitch? I'm 5'2'' and I weigh about 140 lbs. Should I get a 31" or 32"? Poppppppyyy
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a balanced bat and better for a player who needs to increase their bat speed. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch is an end loaded bat, better for a power hitter. We recommend a 32" 22 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch.
Kara
I'm a relatively big power hitter. I'm 13 years old and 5' 4" and 125 lbs. Do you have any suggestions for which DeMarini composite bat I should use? Livelovesoftball81
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a balanced model, which we'd recommend for contact hitters. For power hitters such as yourself, we'd recommend a more end loaded option, such as the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch.
Katie
The DeMarini Insane is more for power hitters, but will the CF6 DXCFP provide just as much pop just more balanced? superb
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch will provide just as much pop as the DeMarini Insane. They both use the same composite materials. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch will be more balanced.
Kara
My daughter is 5' 7" and weighs 135 pounds. She is currently swinging a Mizuno frenzy 3.0 32" 22 oz. and loves it, but used a friends CF5 during a game and fell in love with it, it was a 33" 23 oz. She is a power house and I really need help on which bat to get. pproctor06
You should get her the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch in a 33" 23 oz. That is going to be the perfect size for her.
Noah
My daughter is 15 year old high school freshman who is 5' 6" and 120 lbs. She is using the Worth 454 32" 22 oz. and fell in love with another player's CF5 balanced bat about 2 weeks ago. She has great bat speed and at times can hit with some good power. What would you recommend for size and model of your 2014 DeMarini CF6 bats? Balanced or end loaded? softballdad21
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a well balanced bat, which would be good for a contact hitter that has some power at times, especially if she saw success with another player's CF5. Based on her height and weight, I recommend a 33" DXCFP.
Katie
Daughter is playing 14UA 5'2" weighs 105 lbs. Currently uses a CF5 31" 20 oz. on 55+mph pitchers and a Xeno 32" 22 oz. for sub 50 mph pitchers. Would like to consider a CF6 but what drop would you recommend? dad
We recommend a 32" 22 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch.
Kara
Are any of the DeMarini CF6 bats end loaded? I'm 5' 8'' and weigh 140 lbs. What size and weight should I use? Softball
Yes, the DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI is end loaded. For your height and weight we would recommend a 33-34" model. So a 33" 23 oz. or 34" 24 oz.
Damon
Our daughter just completed her freshman year in high school and is playing on a traveling team for the summer. She is 5'4.5" and 125 lbs. She is an experienced softball player and has been using a 31 inch 21 oz bat this past season. We think her batting issues could include not using the appropriate sized bat. What size bat would you recommend for her size and would you tend to have a player who may need extra hitting practice to use a balanced bat to begin with vs a end weighted bat? We are considering both the 2014 DeMarini CF6 DXCFP and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 DXCFI model bats. Theresa
We recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch for a player who needs to increase their bat speed. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 DXCFI is best suited for power hitters because of its end loaded design.
Kara
What would be the right size and weight bat for a sophomore girl who is 5'4" and 125 lbs? Stephen

Damon
Daughter is 12 weight 100 lbs 5'0" hits #4 on team currently using 2004 Anderson 31" 22 oz. She never strikes out. What should we get for a second bat for her? Stick with end loaded or balanced bat for faster pitchers? What size to get? Javes 24
A balanced bat is best suited for faster pitchers. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is an excellent choice. We recommend a 31" 21 oz.

I will be a sophomore. I'm 5'7" 250 pounds. I'm a power hitter. What bat would you recommend and what size? Tswizzz
The DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI would be a great model for a power hitter. A 34" model would be a good size for you.
Damon
I currently have a DeMarini CF4 in a 34" 25 oz. I am a college junior and getting a new bat for next year. Which bat, the DeMarini CF5 of CF6 do you think would have a more similar feel to the CF4 that I currently have? I want to stay the same size bat, without changing to an end-loaded model. Softballjunkie19
Both the DeMarini CF5 and CF6 will be similar in balance to the CF4. Both will have higher quality composite and the DeMarini CF6 will have the new paradox composite handle.
Damon

The only difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch and the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFS Fastpitch is the drop. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 30" bat.
Kara

My daughter is a junior in college and a lead-off slapper. I am wanting to get her a new bat for Christmas. What is the hottest bat for slappers? Kris
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a great option for slappers, as it's a well balanced model which enables better bat control. They've upgraded the composite in the 2014 CF6 for an extended sweet spot.
Katie
My daughter is a 14 yr old, 5'9" thin stick, might weigh 130 lbs. She's been swinging DeMarini's for few years now. Her coach says her 32" 21 oz. CF4 is now too short and light for her. She's not very strong, relative to some of those godzillas her age. I was thinking 34" 24 oz. Is there a chart to follow? rob

My daughter is 5'5" and 115 lbs. She currently uses a 32" 20 oz. bat. What size would you recommend for her? Bob
For a player her size, I would recommend going with the 32" 22 oz. model of the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch.
Marcus
Is the -11 lighter or heavier than -10 ? Bob
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch -10 is heavier than a -11.
Kara
Do you go with this bat or the CF6 Insane? My 12 year old daughter has been using a CF5 for the past 2 years and is ready to move up to 32" 22 oz. What are the down sides of the end load? Jake
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is a very well balanced model, recommended for contact hitters. A balanced model will increase bat speed, which will increase power. An end load is recommended for power hitters who do not struggle with bat speed, as it will put more mass behind an already powerful swing. The end load will swing heavier than other models, which can slow down bat speed in players who are not quite as powerful.
Katie
What is the difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6 DXCFP and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Hope DXCFH bats? Pammike
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch and the Hope are the exact same bat, but they have different paint jobs.
Noah
Can the CF6: DXCFP be used out of the box? I've also heard that you can't use this bat in winter weather? We live in south Texas. Bob
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat will be hot out of the wrapper on day one. There will be no break-in required. The lowest designed temperature for best performance on the bat will be 60 degrees.
Brandon
I have been debating back in forth about which bat to get, this model or the 2014 Insane. I am a 5' 2", 165 lbs. contact hitter with a few doubles on my record. I also sometimes slap. Which model would be better for me? rachsoftball
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch balanced design is best for a contact and slap hitter. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane: DXCFI Fastpitch is end loaded and designed for a power hitter.
Kara

5'6 130 pound high school freshman hits the ball every time but never over the fence. What can we do to help her out bat wise? Also what stamp is needed this year for the rule change and are these bats going to be okay? BC
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch uses new paradox composite material for outstanding trampoline effect and hot of the wrapper performance. The CF6 has the new USSSA stamp and will be legal in 2014.
Kara
How does this bat compare to the Easton Mako. Does one bat feel lighter than the other? Mike
No, both the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch bat and the 2014 Easton MAKO will feel very similar in swing weight. One will not feel very much lighter than the other. Both will feature the same two-piece fully composite designs also.
Brandon
Thinking of buying the Hope bat. My daughter's batting coach told us she needs 32" -10. What is the different between CF5 and CF6? Linda
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is constructed from DeMarini's newest composite material, the Paradox Composite. This new material expands the sweet spot of the bat which makes it more forgiving on balls that may not be squared up in the middle of the barrel. The CF5 is a very balanced, two-piece composite bat also. But it is made from the TR3 F.L.O. Composite material.
Mac
What is the difference between the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI Fastpitch) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP Fastpitch)? Joe
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI Fastpitch) will be end loaded, whereas the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP Fastpitch) will be more balanced.
Damon
My daughter is 5'5" 140 pounds, and is 13 years old. She hits very well and has good power. I am looking to get her one of the new 2014 DeMarini CF6 series bats? Which one would you recommend? Pete22
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) Fastpitch. The CF6 Insane has an end loaded swing weight and is ideal for a power hitter.
Jason
What is the difference between the DXCFP and the DXCFH? Both seem to be balanced bats with the new paradox technology? Is it simply the end cap? ARR
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Hope (DXCFH) use the same composite materials. The only difference is the end cap.
Kara
My daughter is 5'2" and about 130 pounds. She is also a strong hitter. What bat would you recommend? Balanced bat or end loaded? apples77
If she is more of a contact hitter I would recommend something like the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) Fastpitch bat because it is balanced. If she is more of a power hitter I would recommend something like the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) Fastpitch because it is end loaded.
Damon
I would like to know the difference between the 2014 CF6 DXCFP and the 2014 CF6 DXCFS for my 17 year old daughter? Mike
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) Fastpitch has a -10 length to weight ratio and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) Fastpitch has a -11 length to weight ratio. Other than the length to weight ratio and the color scheme the two bats are identical.
Jason
Daughter is 15 1/2, 5'6" and about 140 pounds. Good contact and some power. I was thinking a 33" 23 oz. DXCFP. Does that sound right? Jeff
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) would be a great option. It is a very high performing, balanced bat. Based on her height and weight we recommend a 33" 23 oz. bat.
Kara
My daughter is 12 and plays middle school ball. She hits a lot of line drives and shots to the outfield. She has been using the CF5 and now it is too small. I do not know whether to get the balanced CF6 or get the CF6 Insane and see how she does with the end loaded bat. What do you think.? She crushes the ball with the normal balanced CF5. D
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a balanced bat and is better for a batter that needs to increase their bat speed. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) is designed for a power hitter. We recommend the DeMarini Insane. It also has a 30 day money back guarantee through DeMarini if she feels the bat doesn't work for her.
Kara
General question: How do I know if a DeMarini bat is end load or balanced? aj
In DeMarini's fastpitch bat product line, the only bat that is currently designed with an end load is the 2014 Demarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI). All of the other CF6 models feature very balanced swing weights. But concerning on our site, the bat will likely indicate in the Bat Features section what kind of swing weight the bat offers.
Mac
I am a 50 year old male playing in a competitive modified fast pitch league. I hit the ball very hard and have excellent bat speed, but my goal is for more line drives to the gaps. Any suggestions? kjpmac
If that is your goal, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) Fastpitch is a very good option for your style of play!
Jackson
Do you prefer the CF5 or CF6? im currently hitting with a 33/25 Xeno and I'm thinking of switching juliaholli
The DeMarini CF5: DXCFF Fastpitch is going to be very similar to the Xeno that you are currently using. Both bats are going to be balanced and have a two piece composite structure. The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is also going to be a good choice as well. This model has a stacked double wall construction and will be very sturdy. Our customers have seemed to really like the Demarini CF6.
Merritt
I'm a slap hitter and was wondering if the CF6 hope bat would be a good bat Gator
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Hope (DXCFH) Fastpitch is going to have a two-piece composite design which will work really good for players with your hitting style. This model will be very sturdy and the paradox composite material used will provide you with a bigger sweet spot as well. This will be an excellent choice for you.
Merritt
Is the barrel longer on a 33" vs. the 32"? My daughter has been using the 32" since July of last year when she was 5' 4". Since then, she has grown to 5' 8" and 154 lbs and continues to do very well with the 32". Is it worth it to move up to a 33" River
The barrel size on the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFP Fastpitch is proportional to the length of the bat in inches. The barrel size on the 33" will be longer than the 32", but only a fraction of an inch longer. If she is comfortable with the 32" and has been having success, I would stick with the 32". However, it may be worth a step up to the 33" if she is way too far in front of pitches, or missing some on the outside part of the plate.
Justin R.
If my daughter gets this bad and doesn't like it can we return it? CoachFast
As long as the bat has not been used, an exchange or refund can be completed on our website www.justbats.com. In the top right hand corner there is a link titled "Returns." This will facilitate the proper paperwork that will need to be filled out in order to complete the process. However, if the bat were to become damaged or defective, that process would be handled through the manufacturer.
Merritt
I have a CF3 34" 24 oz. and I'm looking at getting a CF6. I want to keep the same length but what would you recommend for a weight? I'm 5 ft 9 inches and weigh 180 lbs. I'm a power hitter. alyssa
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a very balanced bat and is designed for a contact hitter. We recommend an end loaded bat for a power hitter such as the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI). We recommend a 34" 24 oz.
Kara
My daughter is 15, 5'3 and 200 lbs. What size do you recommend for her? mom
The size that we would recommend would be a 33" and 23 oz. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a two-piece composite design with a -10 drop. This bat would be a great fit for her.
Kyle
I am 6'0 and I am looking at this bat in a 34"24. the bat that I recently have is an old Easton. and im not really getting any type of pop with it. would this be a good bat for me? Softballgirl
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFP) Fastpitch will be extremely hot out of the wrapper. The two-piece composite design and double wall construction will make this bat very stiff, and powerful. The sweet spot is also more responsive and will help provide smooth consistent swings. This model is currently top of the line, and its performance will be very noticeable. If you are looking for good pop, this bat will definitely produce results.
Merritt

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) can't be used and then returned if it has been used. The (DXCFI)DeMarini Insane can be used and returned to DeMairni if you are not satisfied with the product.
Kara

Kara
I'm looking at this bat for my daughter. She is 5'4" 100 lbs. freshman in high school. Wondering what size & if this or the sprite model would be better? T
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is the correct drop for her height and weight. We recommend a 32" 22 oz. for her size.
Kara
I am looking for a bat for my daughter who is a freshman in high school playing on varsity. Her coach told them that a composite bat is the way to go but I don't know which kind to buy. My daughter had just recently hyper-extended her elbow and is playing in a brace now and previously used a 33 inch 21 ounce aluminum bat. She is 5'6 and weighs about 165. Would this be the right kind of bat with a 33 inch and 23 ounce or would the 2 ounce difference effect her swing? Al
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a very high performing composite bat. It is a very balanced bat. However, due to her recent injury we would recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFS) in a 33" 22 oz.
Kara
My step daughter is 15. She plays school, summer and travel fastpitch. Her bat speed has begun to slow down for some reason. A girl on her team has this bat and my step daughter loves it and wants one. Would this bat be okay for her even with struggling bat speed? Ray
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) Fastpitch has a very balanced swing weight. I would stay away from anything with an end load.
Aaron

This is my daughters first year on a competitive fastpitch summer travel team. She is 14 years old, weighs about 135 lbs. and is 5'6". She has good bat speed and power. Can you suggest a bat for her? Kelly
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP) is a balanced, two-piece composite bat. It is best suited for a contact hitter. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) is an end loaded bat and designed for a power hitter with good bat speed. We recommend a 33" 23 oz. bat for her.
Kara
My daughter is 12 years old, and is 4'9". She is playing fast pitch and needs a great bat to be a competitive hitter. Any suggestions? Jenn
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFP) and 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno: (FPXN14-RR) would be great choices to take a look at for competitive players. Both of these models are going to be high performing two-piece composite designs and will provide you with explosive power. The two-piece structure will provide a little bit of flex and will allow great control as well. Both of these models are highly reviewed, and are top of the line options to check out.
Merritt
My daughter is 5'2" and weighs 125lbs, she is a consistent hitter and is used to an aluminum bat. We are making the switch to a composite, she has a fast swing, but would you recommend this bat or the Insane? And what size would you recommend? Kristi
I would recommend using a balanced bat and staying with the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP).The size I would go with would be the 30 inches / 20 ounces.
Kyle
My daughter is about 5"8 1/2" and weighs about 155lbs, she got the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno: FPXN14-RR Length & Weight - 33" 23 oz. but we are sending this bat back because it is dead. I was looking at this 2014 DeMarini CF6 but didn't know if we should stick with the same bat or go with something different? Also, does the size and weight seem right? April
Both the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno (FPXN14-RR) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 are going to be high performing bats, so either one would be a great choice. We would recommend either a 33" or 34" bat for your daughter, so the sizing sounds about right.
Kyle J.
My daughter is 6'3" and about 147 lbs. She is currently swinging a 34" 24 oz. She is pulling everything in high school ball. Travel ball, she sees faster pitchers. High school, she is way ahead of it. What suggestions do you have because we are stumped? karaderrick
If she is using the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP Fastpitch) she should wait back longer for the ball. It is perfectly fine to keep the weight shifted back and let the ball travel to her. Hit the ball when it is deep and nearly at home plate. Tell her to focus everything up the middle at the pitcher. It will take a concentrated effort by her to focus more on waiting back and seeing the pitch right back up the middle.
Brandon

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFP Fastpitch) would be best recommended in a 29" or 30" at her current age and size. No break-in is required. This bat will come hot out of the wrapper!

Both the CF6 and The Xeno are very popular and will be higher performing than the X12.

For a player that is about 5 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds, would you recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6 or the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno? Also, she is currently swinging a 32 inch 22 ounce bat. Would you recommend that she goes up a size? Mac
Based on her height and weight, the 32 inch bat would be a good fit for your player. Patrick

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be a fantastic choice. The CF is the name of the bat. DeMarini has had this series for many seasons. The higher the number, the newer the bat model. The CF7 is currently available also. The CF6 and CF7 bats will perform very much the same.
Brandon

Jason
Is this bat end loaded? Jim
No. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a balanced design. The end-loaded version of the bat would be the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI).
Patrick
Would you recommend the DeMarini CF5 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) or the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) for a girl who is 5'6, weights 130lbs, and has a powerful swing? Kristi
Both the DeMarini CF5 Insane (DXCFI) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane (DXCFI) are going to be a designed more for a power hitter because they are both end-loaded, which generates greater bat speed. The difference between the CF5 and the CF6 Insane is that the CF6 Insane has the D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration. This bat also has features DeMarini's paradox composite for a bigger, more responsive sweet spot. The CF6 also has a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee through DeMarini.
Liz
Are end-loaded bats like the DeMarini CF5 Insane or the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) still going to be okay for leveling swings out? Kris
Whether or not you can keep good form while using the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) or DeMarini CF5 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) would be dependent on the strength of the player. The key to using an end-loaded bat to improve your power is to keep up good form and bat speed which usually requires the player to be fairly strong and fundamentally sound in their hitting approach.
Patrick
How good of a bat was the Demarini CF5 Fastpitch bat? Is it a good bat for power hitters? How do the CF6 and the CF5 compare? Meg

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
