Questions and Answers for DeMarini Pro Maple Composite Wood Baseball Bat: DX271 Adult

Is there such a thing as an end loaded wood bat? Can you recommend one?

Yes, there are end loaded wood bats. The 271 wood turn will usually indicate an extended barrel and end loaded design. The DeMarini Pro Maple Composite Wood Baseball Bat (DX271 Adult) and the Warstic 271 Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (WS271NB Adult) would work very well for you.

Is that a good long lasting bat the doesn't break easily? compared to the Demarini d110, does it feel lighter or heavier because the d271 is slightly end-loaded and the d110 is non-cupped.

The DeMarini Pro Maple Composite Wood Bat (DX271) Adult will be a solid bat. It will be slightly end-loaded because it uses that 271 turn model. It should feel a tad heavier than the D110 model because the D271 is end-loaded.

The cupped end on the DeMarini Pro Maple Composite Wood Bat (DX271) provides more balance. A non-cupped end tends to be more end loaded.

Which part of the barrel should I hit with, relative to the label, on a DeMarini DX271?

When hitting with the DeMarini Pro Maple Composite Wood Bat: DX271 Adult, you should ensure that contact is made on the areas to either side of the label on the bat. One expert says it's 2-1/2" and another says it's 2-5/8" barrel. Which one is it? My son has an Dx110 right now and is looking to get another bat. Loves the 110. How does this bat compare to the 110? He's 5'8" 150lbs, contact hitter, hits to all fields.

Turn model 271 has a 2 1/2 " barrel diameter. The DX271 is very similar to the DX110 model, with the exception of the knob having a larger flare on the DX271. Here is the link to view more details about the DX271. http://www.justbats.com/product/demarini-maple-wood-bat--dx271-adult/12618/
