Pros: Great bat for the price! Could easily be twice as much, and would be worth it. Great pop, feels solid.

Cons: Smaller barrel length than some other bats.

Pros: I was looking for an affordable bat that my son could use in the first couple of months of the tournament ball season. We moved up in length and weight to the 31"/23oz. My son made the adjustment very quickly because the bat is very balanced and has no sting at all. We have used bats costing $250 and $300 last year and the Vengeance seems to have just as much pop. We have had the bat for 3 weeks and everything is great. I did not let my son know what I paid for the bat and he thinks it is another high end bat! What a bargin.

Cons: I don't care what the bat looks like as long as it performs well. The BBCOR Vengeance has better paint on the red part of the handle which would have been nice. There is nothing wrong with this bat at this time.

Pros: This bat has great balance and good pop. My 12 year old has 2 of them and thinks they are each over $150. He liked the first so well last year that he wanted a 2nd for this year that was longer.

Cons: The flat coating on the red on the handle will wear off fast. Other than that, it's a great bat.

Pros: Picked up the Vengeance in a bat pack with really only the intention for my son to use as a cage bat. Also, to help ease the transition from -10 to -5 (he is 12 but dents every -10 we buy). He loves this bat and will not use anything else. Major pop. Swing did not slow down. Well balanced. Did I forget Major Pop. If you have a bigger 11 or 12 year old this is a great transition bat to get away from the drop -10.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: This is a great bat with a huge sweet spot. Although, it is a drop 8, you get used to the weight very quickly. I've used it for almost 3 months and it still has the same feeling as when you first got it. Also, there is a great add on with the vibration resistance in the middle.

Cons: The only bad thing is the paint on the red part chips.

Pros: Great value. Balanced Bat My son grew a few inches since the last season and needed a longer more balanced bat. First time swinging with the 2 5/8" barrel. He loves it and has been getting great results from it. Solid structure.

Cons: Need more options like this!

Pros: I was skeptical about the price, but my 13 year old needed a drop 8 fast that was not an arm/leg for Babe Ruth. Wow, what a find! Nice balance (31/23) and pop. His hits definitely are going farther and seem to be hit harder when coming off the bat!

Cons: None

SOTG_Dallas

Pros: First thing, can you beat the price? Alone or in a bat pack, can't beat it and the bat is solid. Second, when my son gets the 2 5/8 barrel on the ball it flies. The diffusion grip or whatever is good, because he doesn't wear gloves and never complains when he hits them off the handle. I (regretfully) spent over $100 more on an Easton last year and this bat is outperforming it already. My son won't even use his Easton in the cage.

Cons: It is unbalanced, the weight is all in the barrel so that takes getting used to. We got the 29/21 but my son got used to it after about a week.

Pros: I bought this bat because when I sorted by price it was the cheapest with many reviews all outstanding. They were right. If you can swing the -8, this bat will deliver a lot for the price you pay. Great bat to keep in the bag for slower pitchers. My son smoked the center field fence last Saturday.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini Vengeance Senior League Baseball Bat: DXVER? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Can my 10 year old use this bat in little league Babe Ruth? batman
Unfortunately, the Vengeance is a big barrel bat. In the 10 year old Division of Babe Ruth, you can only use a small barrel bat.
Tyler
Can my son use this in a 15u league? Shelly
That depends on the exact rules and regulations of the league you play in. However, the DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER is a full alloy bat that is legal in almost every league out there. You should consult with your coach or league rule book before purchasing though.
Tyler
Can this bat be used for high school? mea
No. Only Adult BBCOR bats are legal for High School use. The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER is a Youth Big Barrel bat that is not eligible for BBCOR certification.
Tyler
Why does this bat have numbers from 1 to 8 around the barrel? mojoe
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER is numbered around the barrel as a rotation index for even break-in.
Aubrey
Does this come in a 32" 24 oz. size? mojoe
We only have the sizes listed on the website. So unfortunately we don't have the DeMarini Vengeance DXVER in a 32" 24 oz.
Aubrey
Does this bat have "ping"? My son has a Rawlings Renegade that he was told he cant use in 11U select because it doesn't have the 1.15 stamp. He hits well with it and enjoys the loud "ping" he gets out of it. Would you recommend any bats? peyton martin
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League baseball bat is a one piece alloy bat like the Rawlings Renegade. Both bats will probably sound similar. You can listen to this bat online by clicking on the audio symbol on the picture of the bat on JustBats.com. The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League would be a very good choice if your son liked the Rawlings Renegade.
Jeff
Would you recommend this bat at 31'23 for my son who is 5'7 125 pounds and is this bat high school qualified? Ro
If he needs a BBCOR bat for High School play, the DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER will not work. Only adult bats are eligible for BBCOR certification and legal for High School play.
Tyler
Is there any Demarini bats that my son can use in 14 year old travel baseball and high school baseball? If so What? Ro
Yes. Any Adult BBCOR bat can be used in travel ball as well as High School.
Tyler
Is this a good bat for me? I am 13, and I play travel ball. I am 5' 2" and 90 lbs. What size would you suggest? skysox7
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League bat will be a -8. If you choose to use this bat go with the 31" model. It may be hard if you have not swung a -5 before. But I would recommend transitioning into the -5 at the age of 13. You will be forced to use the adult size BBCOR at age 14. It would just you to already be used to swinging the heavier bats. This bat is a one-piece all alloy model that will feel balanced in swing weight. Check out this bat for the -5: DeMarini Vexxum: DXVX5 Senior League.
Brandon
My son is in a Dixie boys league which is ages 13 to 14 and I was wondering if this bat would be legal? .......................
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League will not be legal for play in the upcoming season.
Kevin S.
I am a 12 year old ball player, looking for a bat that won't cost me much, and will have lots of pop. Is this a good bat? CBA15
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER is a great bat with good pop that would be a good option for you.
Tyler
Why is the bat so cheap? J.H
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League is a closeout bat, so it will sell at a low price.
Frank
Hi, i'm a thirteen year old kid who plays pony league baseball. I was just wondering what senior league meant and if i could use it for 13 year old pony league baseball. Joe
It is a USSSA approved bat. If it has the USSSA stamp and is no bigger than 2 5/8 inch barrel it will work.
Chad M.
Can a 5 feet 103 pound 10 years old use this bat? boy
Yes, we suggest a 30" 22 oz. bat. It's a great bat for the price.
Chad M.
How long is it before this bat starts getting the ping noise and getting all the pop? I've hit with it three times and it seems to have no sound, and limited pop. It does feel solid, however. Thanks. redsox7
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League bat is an alloy bat and will be "hot" directly out of the box. That bat should already be hot and it should have a ping sound with each solid contact with the ball.
Robert
I'm 7 years old. Would the 29" 21 oz. bat be good for me? I started playing baseball at 3 1/2 years old. I am 4'7" tall. DAVE
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League bat may be too heavy for you. As a 7 year old you are recommended to be using a 27" bat. A 27" 17 oz. would be the heaviest I would use at that age.
Brandon
Can my son who is 8 and about 48 inches tall use this bat? Not sure what size bat he should use and I don't want to be out a lot of money. amy
No the DeMarini Vengeance is going to be too heavy for your son. You could try something like the Miken RZR: SLRZ10 it will be close in price, but a lot easier for your son to swing.
Noah
I am looking for a bat that is legal for the up coming season. I'm 12 yrs old and 5' 2" tall, but is this a great? sparky
The DeMarini Vengeance will be a just fine for you. It is a pretty good bat and with it being a -8 it will help make the transfer to -3 BBCOR bats later down the road.
Noah
My son will be 9 at the end of June. He is currently about 54" tall and weighs about 73 lbs. Will the 30/22 version of this bat be too heavy for him? Brent
With the height and weight given for your son, we suggest a 29" 21oz. bat. If he is growing and maybe a little stronger you could use a 32"
Chad M.
My son is playing in 13 and under this year. He is very tall at 5'8", long arms, very thin weighing about 128 pounds. I wondered if this bat would be good for him or if he needs 32". Maybe a drop -5 or a -8 and a 31" would be okay. Kelly
With your son's height and weight given I would go with a 32" 28 oz. bat. That would be a drop -5. He will be in high school next year and should be moving up to get ready for the -3. If it ends up being a little to heavy then I would go to a -8.
Chad M.
My son is a little less than five feet and about 90lbs. but has very quick hands and sometimes gets out in front regardless of the pitch speed. Would a 31" 23 oz. be about right for him? dawg
I would recommend a 30" 22 oz. DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League for your son.
Kevin
My son is 11 years old and is 5' 5 1/2" tall. I'm 6'8", so he's going to be tall. He weighs 165 pounds. Last year he had great luck with 31" 20 oz. 2 1/4" bat. This year he can now use the larger 2 5/8" barrel. Do you think I should go to a 31 inch -8 bat? andyinminnesota
Since your son is big for his age, I would move up to the -8. The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League would be a great choice.
Chad M.
My son is 9 years old and is 57" tall and weighs 105 lbs. Should I get him a 30" 22 oz. or 31" 23 oz. bat? B-ball momma
Please use the Bat Coach on our website. It is a great tool. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Frank
My son is 15 yrs old, 5'8" and 175 lbs. He has a lot of power. What size bat would be appropriate for him? Mickey
Your son is going to need a BBCOR certified bat, which the DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League is not. I would recommend a 32" 29 oz. BBCOR bat for him.
Marcus
Is it a BBCOR? Jake
The DeMarini Vengeance: DXVER Senior League bat is not a BBCOR bat model. This bat will be USSSA Certified 1.15 bat.
Brandon

My son is 4'7" and is 58 lbs . Do you think the 29" 21 oz. bat is too big for him? Right now he is swinging a 28" typhoon but the bat doesn't seem to have much pop. My son will be moving out of coach pitch this year so if you have anymore suggestions they would be greatly appreciated . Wahoowillie

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
