I mistakenly ordered this bat for slow pitch softball. Coed non league, how will this bat do in Softball?

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR Baseball Bat is made for specifically for baseball so it will not be good for softball. If you try to use it in softball, there is a good chance that the bat will break.

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) has a slightly end loaded feel The 2014 Easton S500 is more balanced. However, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is balanced.

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult model that you are looking at has a slightly end loaded feel. The 2014 model of the Vexxum (DXVXC) is considered more balanced.

What bat is the better pick, the 2013 Vexxum or Rawlings 5150?

I would recommend the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) if you are a contact hitter. The two-piece design on the Vexxum will add more trampoline effect off the barrel, which the contact hitters prefer. If you are a power hitter I suggest the 2013 Rawlings 5150 (BBCA2) since it is a one-piece design that power hitters prefer.

I am 5'10" & 190lbs with fast bat speed. What length and weight should I get?

Typically for a player of this height and weight we would suggest a 33 inch bat. The weight of the bat is dependent on a players strength and comfort level but high school and collegiate play require a -3 length to weight ratio. For a 33" bat it must weigh 30 oz.

I'm 14. Could I use this bat for my rec team?

It really depends on the specific requirements of the league you are playing in. I would ask a coach or league official what requirements you need prior to making a purchase. But this DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: (DXVNC) Adult bat is BBCOR certified which is the requirement for high school and collegiate play. At your age, this bat could definitely be a possibility for you.

I am 14 and a freshmen. I am 135 pounds and 5 foot 8 inches. I was wondering if I should get the 32 inch or 33 inch and should I get the 2013 model or 2014 model Vexxum?

Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" or a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult. The 33" or 34" models in the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult might be a little too big for you at this time.

I am 14 and looking for a bat for high school. I am 5'11" and about 165 lbs. I have used a 32'' for a long time and I saw that this came in a 32.5. I was wondering if I should go with a 32, 32.5, or 33? I am mostly a gap to gap hitter with some power.

Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult in a 32'', but you could consider going up to a 32.5'' or 33'' if you are able to swing a 32'' well. It has a lighter swing weight than the 2013 model. Also, DeMarini makes a very balanced fully composite bat called the 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR: DXCFC Adult.

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is a very balanced bat and would be best when facing faster pitching. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo is end loaded and better for a power hitter. Based on his height and weight we recommend a 33" 30 oz. bat.

Which is better the DeMarini Voodoo or DeMarini Vexxum?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is also slightly end loaded. The new 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is very balanced and would be a better option if do not like the end loaded feel. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 31" 28 oz. bat.

Which is the better bat for a contact hitter? The 2012 Easton S2, 2012 Vexxum, 2012 Voodoo, or the 2013 Vexxum? Which bat will give me the most bang for my buck?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat, the 2012 Vexxum, 2012 Voodoo, and Easton S2 will all be created the same. They will feature the composite handle and alloy barrel. None will require any period of break-in. The Voodoo will have an end loaded barrel heavy feel that most contact hitters do not prefer. My choice would be the S2. The balance will be more evenly distributed throughout the entire bat. Making the swing weight feel very light and the M.O.I. be very low.

Do you know which bat is better Vexxum 2013 or Louisville Slugger Omaha TPX 2013 ?

Unfortunately, neither is proven to be better as it all depends on the hitter and what type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. When in doubt, it's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.

Hi, I am an incoming freshman this year and am looking for a back-up alluminum bat. i was wondering which bat would be best for me considering i am more of the line-drive type of hitter the 2013 demarini vexxum bbcor or the marucci black?

Both the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR and the Marucci Black BBCOR are great for a contact hitter. The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR is slightly end loaded, better for a contact hitter with some power. The Marucci Black is more balanced.

Which is a better bat for a 13 year old contact hitter a 2013 Vexxum BBCOR or a 2012 Voodoo BBCOR? Is either one end loaded?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum is slightly end loaded and would be great for a contact hitter with power.

What DeMarini BBCOR bat do you recommend for a contact hitter looking for more distance on his hits?

I would recommend the DeMarini Voodoo. Since it is a two-piece bat, it will help with bat speed through the strike zone which will increase distance as well.

If I am 5' 4" and weigh 110, what size bat should I use? Right now im using the -5 Vexxum 33 in 28 oz.

In the BBCOR model, our bat coach suggests a 29-30 in. bat in a -3. The link to our bat coach is http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.

For a 5' 11" freshman cantact hitter is the 2013 Vexxum really that much better than the 2012 Vexxum

There is not a huge difference between the 2012 DeMarini Vexxum and the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum. Two of the biggest differences are the looks of the bat and also the type of alloy that the barrel is manufactured with. The 2012 Vexxum has an SC4 Alloy barrel and the 2013 Vexxum has an X10 Alloy Barrel. The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum has newer technologies with the new type of alloy that is being used.

Hi. I just turned 12 and about 5 foot 1 and I will have to use bbcor next year and I'm more of a line drive hitter. Should I get the 2013 Vexxum or the 2013 Voodoo?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR and the 2013 Voodoo BBCOR are both two piece bats that are slightly end loaded. The 2013 Vexxum will have more flex than the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo.

I am 14, 5'11" and weigh about 150 lbs. I'm a contact hitter. Is this bat good for me or is there any other bat that will give me a clean, controllable, but powerful hit?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat is a great bat for a contact hitter as it is a two-piece hybrid design. Since the Vexxum is a two-piece design, it will provide more flex, giving you a whipping action as you swing the bat providing more bat speed.

What is the difference between 2013 and 2012 Vexxum models?

The 2013 Vexxum features DeMarini's new X10 Alloy. This alloy should be just as high performing and strong as the SC4 alloy used in the 2012 model, but is a little lighter in weight which allowed DeMarini to give the 2013 Vexxum a slightly longer barrel.
