Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the L-Series, the L5.0 has a specific end-load weight called out at the end of its 12 inch barrel: 26oz = 1oz load, 27oz = 2oz load, 28oz = 3oz load. The L5.0 features Easton's Single System Composite Design and is made entirely from Easton's trademark IMX Composite. IMX provides the L5.0 an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance, right out of the wrapper. The handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The L5.0 is approved for play in USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton L5.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14L5? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Hi I usually swing 28oz, should I use the same weight with this bat? jfsq24
The 2014 Easton 5.0 (SP14L5) has an end loaded swing weight so staying with the 28oz will be heavier than a regular 28oz bat. A 27oz would work great for you in this bat.

I see where Easton is releasing the new 'L' and 'B' series slow pitch bats for this year (2014/15) like this one. Are they going to release another Speed Series like the S1 and S2's they had last year? Both were great ASA bats! RB57
The S Series may appear again in the future, but I would not expect it for their next product line. There are a couple B Series bats that are direct replacements for both the S1 and S2. For ASA, the B3.0 would be the most similar model to the S1.

Im a really big guy, 6'4" 260lbs. I'm a power hitter and hit a lot of home runs. I've always swung Worth bats, but our team is an Easton team now. Which bat is better for a big, strong type hitter: the Easton L5.0 or the Easton L1.0? shrek
The 2014 Easton L5.0 (SP14L5) Slow Pitch would be my suggestion. The one-piece design on the L5.0 is typically better for power hitters. Two-piece bats will offer more flex and are typically most suitable for players with average or below average swing speed. One-piece bats are stiffer and are most suitable for stronger players with above average swing speed.

What is the difference between the Easton L5.0 and the Easton LX.0? Which one of these would be better for an experienced player who is a power hitter? broom
The only difference between the 2014 Easton L5.0 (SP14L5) Slow Pitch bat and the LX.0 is that the LX.0 is the all associations model while the L5.0 is not approved for play in ASA. Both are one-piece composite models. Both have end loaded swing weights and stiff flexes, so they would be good options for a power hitter. It really just depends on what
Mac
What is different about the 2014 version from last years model of the L5.0? Josh
The 2014 Easton L5.0 (SP14L5) Slow Pitch is the same as the 2013 L5.0. The only difference is the color/paint scheme.
Jason
What's the best power hitting bat out of the L5.0, L2.0, and L1.0. I'm 6 feet tall, power lift, and have been playing for a while now. steve
One is not proven to outperform the other. It totally comes down to what kind of design you like using. You'll even see Easton-sponsored players swinging both types of designs. The L2.0 would be the Brett Helmer Signature model, but the L1.0 is a very solid option if you like the two-piece design. All three models would be great options for a power hitter with the Raw Power end loaded swing weight.
Mac
How does this bat stack up with the 52 core 275 balls? Stu
The 2014 Easton L5.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L5) features USSSA certification that makes it perfect for that style of ball.
