Which bat should I get: XL3 or S3 BBCOR? I am a freshman in high school, 5' 8", 135 pounds, and strong for my weight. I can generate a lot of bat speed by myself and can hit for power despite my speed and size. I just bought a 33' 30 oz XL3 (the new model) and my dad says that he thinks that it might be a little long. I have not taken it out of the wrapper so I can return it. Should I return it because even though I have good bat speed, the good pitchers in my league can reach 80 mph. I am looking for an aluminum bat because of the feel but if you think I shouldn't get an aluminum bat please say why.
If pitchers in your league are throwing in the 80's it may be a good choice to stick with the Easton S3 because of its balanced swing weight will help you generate bat speed. It sounds like the XL3 would be a good bat for you, but it is end loaded and could cause your swing to slow down and cause you to be behind the faster pitchers. I would train for one more year with a wood bat and use the Easton S3 in games for now.
I am 5' 5", about 125 lbs. and normally bat leadoff with good bat speed. Which Easton bat and size would you recommend?
Batting lead off with good bat speed, I would recommend a 30" 27 oz. Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat. With this bat being hot right out of the wrapper, it will be a perfect fit.

The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat is a one-piece all alloy design. It has a very balanced swing weight. This will help the player achieve more bat speed, which will help the player add power. Typically, the power hitters that can generate their own bat speed go for the XL Series. The XL Series has a slightly end loaded feel.
Is this bat better for contact hitters or power hitters?
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 has a light swing weight for hitters with average or below average swing speed. Therefore, it would be better suited for contact hitters. If you are a power hitter, you might consider the XL series from Easton.

How does the S3 compare to the Z-1000?
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat will be a One-Piece design. It will be a very Balanced bat and will be made up of all Alloy. The Louisville Slugger TPX Z-1000 BBCOR: BB12Z Adult bat will also be a One-Piece design. This bat will be made of 100% all Composite material. Usually, on Composite barrel bats their must be a period of break-in. But this bat will NOT require one. The LS-2X Composite along with the SWING 1 inner Disc (S1 iD) Technology means there is no break-in period required. This bat will have thinner walls and also be Balanced in swing weight. Both bats will be fine selections. It just depends if you want to swing an all Alloy bat or an all Composite bat.

hey i am 105 pounds and 5'1 what size bbcor should i use and speed or XL

I am debating on weather or not to get this bat seeing that I am a smaller kid on my schools freshmen team I just wanted to know is this a better bat for contact hitters than the Easton XL3.
The Easton S3 BBCOR will be a better bat for a smaller, contact oriented hitter.
Is the handle on the S3 suppose to feel like something is loose inside the bat? If you turn it upside down, feels like somethin is moving near the handle.

I want a BBCOR bat for 8th grade and I hit a lot of gap shots and hard grounders with my TPX Exogrid2, but I want one of the Easton XL's or Easton S series bats for 8th grade. What bat would be good for line drives but still goes a long way when you get a hold of one?
If you are a line drive hitter the Easton S series is the more balanced bat. The Easton XL series is more end loaded for a power hitter, so I would go with one of the Easton S series models.
Is this the most even weight out of all of the S series
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 will have the same balanced swing weight that the S1 and S2 have. The major difference is that the S3 is one-piece alloy bat.

My son is 14, 5'2", 100 pounds. Not a big kid, so he needs a little help in pop and getting around on the bat. I'm looking at the Surge XXL and S3, any suggestions which might be better? Thanks.
If your son needs bat speed, the Easton S3 BBCOR would be the better choice. It is more balanced than the Easton Surge and has great pop.
Is the Easton S3 bat top heavy at all?
The Easton S3 is not an end loaded bat. It has a pretty balanced feel to it.
what bat is good for my 12 year old son that is 5 8 and 125 pounds, the s3 or the xl3? he bats 3,4,or 5 in the lineup
It sounds like the XL3 would be more suitable for your son. Seems like they are placing him in the power hitter slots in the lineup as well, so he would gain more power with the XL3. Here is the link to view more features of the Easton XL3. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-xl3-bbcor--bb11x3-adult/14434/
which has a more balanced swing the s3 easton or the marucci team bat?
Both the Easton S3 and the Marucci team bat are balanced swing weights.
My 13 year old son is shopping for a bat for Babe Ruth. He is about 5' tall and weighs about 100 and is a lead off hitter and hits line drives. Is this Easton S3 BBCOR bat right for him and would you recommend a 32/29? Thanks!
Based on your son's height and weight, the recommended size for him is about a 29"-30" bat. The Easton S3 is legal for Babe Ruth play and would be a great bat for your son!
Is the handle stiff or is it more flexible?
The Easton S3 BBCOR is a one-piece bat so the handle will be stiff.
I was considerng buying an Easton Surge but the lowest length I could find was 31". I'm 5'4" and about 117 lbs and I was looking at this and it comes in 29". But I have a 31" Rival, what should I do?
The Easton Surge has been discontinued so we won't be receiving any more in the 29" length. You should take a look at the Easton S2, it is the replacement of the Surge.
I'm 5'6 1/2 and about 125 lbs. Which bat of the Easton bats would fit me best(include length)?
We suggest a 31" 28 oz bat. If you are a power hitter the Easton S3 BBCOR would be the best choice. The Easton S1 and S2 will provide the most flex.
I'm a small player 5'6 105 pounds and I'm a contact hitter. What do you recommend?
The BB11S3 Easton is a very good balanced bat and be a great choice for a player of your size. This bat has great pop and a large sweet spot as well.
Okay, I'm looking to buy a 32" -3 BBCOR and I like the easton s3 a lot, but as I've been reading, there really isn't a big difference between the S3 and the BG2 Rival BBCOR. I would like to know the main differences and which is better.
The Easton S3 BBCOR took the place of the discontinued Easton Rival and there is not a big difference design wise.
I am about 5'6" and I weigh approximately 190 lbs. My question is I like balanced bats what size would be the best for me? This would be used for an adult baseball league.
Our Bat Coach feature on our website recommends a 33" bat for your particular size. You can either go up to a 34" or down to a 32", if needed. Our Bat Coach is a useful tool on our website. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
I am 14 years old going into high school. I'm 5'5 and around 140. What length and weight should I get?
Based on your height and weight, I would suggest going with a 31" 28 oz. bat. If you need more help in trying to find the right size of bat for you, feel free to use our Bat Coach feature located on our webpage. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Will the pop and feel be similar to the XL3? I have only swung the XL3 and I like its feel... I just want a more balanced bat.
The Easton S3 BBCOR BB11S3 is a more balanced bat than the Easton XL3. The S3 has great pop, large sweet spot, and has been a very popular bat.
Is this S3 or the XL3 bat all aluminum or is it half and half?
The Easton S3 and the Easton XL3 are one-piece aluminum constructions. The half and half bat manufactured by Easton this year is the S2 or XL2. The S1 and the XL1 are two-piece fully composite designs.
Does this bat have good pop?
Yes, the Easton S3 BBCOR has been a very popular BBCOR bat due to the balanced feel and great pop.
What is the difference between the S3 and the S1?
The Easton S1 is a two-piece, all-composite bat. The Easton S3 is a one-piece, all-alloy bat.
Is this bat good for the new PONY League bat standards?
Yes, the Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat is legal for PONY League.
i wanted to make sure this bat is not top heavy?
The Easton S3 is a balanced bat. The Easton XL3 is Easton's version of a bat that will feel a little more end loaded.
My son is 6'-2"and 240 lbs. Should he use a 33" or 34"?
The average size for his height and weight is a 34" bat. Check out our Bat Coach tool on our website, JustBats.Com for more details. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
I'm 5 foot 2 inches, 113 pounds and 14 years old. Would this be a good bat for me and what bat would you recommend for me?
This is a great bat for you. Based on your height and weight, a 30" 27 oz. bat would be recommended. Check out our Bat Coach tool on our website, JustBats.Com for more details. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
I'm 6 foot 167 pounds what size?
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 33" bat. Check out the Bat Coach tool on our website, JustBats.Com for more details. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
I am 15 years old, about 140 lbs and 5'10". What size would you recommend for me? I'm still growing at a pretty good clip...
Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" bat. Check out the Bat Coach tool on our website, JustBats.Com for more details. http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
My son is 14 and is 5' 6" and about 105-110 lbs. Great hand speed and mainly a line drive hitter. What size bat would you recommend and is the Easton S3 a good choice?
We recommend a 30" to a 31" bat based on his height and weight. The Easton S3 BBCOR is one of our hottest selling BBCOR bats that will provide high performance and durability.
What is the difference between this and the Surge?
The Surge is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat that is all alloy. The Easton Surge is an older model and the Easton S Series and XL series are the new models that Easton has to offer.
I'm 15 and I'm 5'1" and 98 pounds and in high school. What is the best weight and length I should use? I was thinking 31ich 28oz or 32inch 29oz. but I'm not even close to done growing yet, so I don't want to spend money and then out grow the bat, so I was going more toward 32" 29oz.
Based on your height and weight, the recommended size for you is about 29 inches. If you are worried about outgrowing the bat, I would probably go with a 30 or 31 inch bat. A 32 inch might be too big for you. If you need any further help in trying to select the right size for yourself, feel free to use our bat coach feature located at the top of the webpage or give us a call at 1-866-321-2287!
Is this bat good for a contact, line drive hitter?
Yes. The Easton S3 BBCOR bat has a light swing weight making it a good choice for contact hitters, but also provides the stiffness and one-piece construction making it an option for power hitters as well.
Will this bat comply with the new regulations for several years or is it expected to change again soon?
The Easton S3 BBCOR bat is BBCOR certified and will be legal this year and to the best of our knowledge for at least a few more years to come. As of date, we haven't heard of any major rule changes at the NCAA and high school level.
My sons league requires bats that are all aluminum/alloy barrel and all composite handle only aluminum/alloy barrels. Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 are allowed. Does this bat meet the requirements? Also, if you can let me know, what others will meet this criteria? Thanks
This bat does meet those requirements. The Easton S3 is an all alloy bat and BBCOR certified. All BBCOR bats will be -3 Adult bats and either be all composite, all alloy or half and half. Please give us a call at 866-321-2287 and we can help show you more options.
What is the diffrence between the S1, the S2, and the S3? If I have a more powerful swing should I use this bat or the Easton XL2?
The Easton S1 is two-piece all composite bat. The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat that's all alloy. Strong players with good swing speed may benefit from the XL Series as it has a little longer barrel but will have a heavier swing weight than the S Series.
Is this bat made for contact hitters?
This is a one-piece bat, which is usually preferred by power hitters. Contact hitters can definitely use it too if they have a quick bat speed. Most contact hitters prefer two-piece bats because they aren't going to be as stiff and the two-piece design offers a little bit of flex, which helps create a whipping action with their swing.
The Easton S3 has a lower MOI which equals a lighter swing weight, making it a good choice for contact hitters looking to increase bat speed.
How much of a difference in the S3 then the Reflex BX81? Son is 13 and needs a new bat, likes both. 100 dollars more for S3 is it worth it?
Based on customer feedback and personal experience, I would say the Easton S3 is a better performing bat. However, the Reflex still performs good and has excellent durability. In my opinion, it's worth it but comes down to personal preference on what you want to spend.
What is the difference between the S1 abd S3?
The S1 is a two-piece bat with a composite barrel and composite handle. The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat that is all alloy. Both will have similar balance and feel, but I would give an edge to the S1 in terms of performance if you are a contact hitter. If you are a power hitter, I would say the S3 may be a better fit.
Is there any difference in technology between this bat and the Easton Rival? If so, what are the differences?
The S3 will have a slightly lower MOI than the Rival. A lower MOI means the bat will have a lighter swing speed. Other than that, there aren't a ton of differences besides the most up to date research and development with the newer models.
Should I get this or the DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR? Why?
Much of it comes down to your personal preference. The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat that won't offer as much flex as the two-piece Voodoo. If you are looking to increase your bat speed, the S3 may be a better option. The Voodoo will offer a little more whipping action through the zone due to it's two-piece design and may help put a little more pop behind your hits. With that being said, the Voodoo and the S3 are both great bats.
Im confused, sometimes you say the Easton S3 is for contact hitters but sometimes you say it is for power hitters? Which one is it? I am a contact hitter so which bat would be best for me out of all bats?
The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat. With that being said, more power hitters prefer a one-piece bat because it is going to be pretty stiff and that stiffness helps generate more power. More contact hitters prefer two-piece bats because they offer more flex than a one-piece, which helps their swing by providing a whipping action. If you are looking for a good bat for a contact hitter in Easton's Speed series, I would suggest checking out the S2 or S1.
Is this bat legal for the 2012 high school baseball year?
The Easton S3 BBCOR is legal for high school play for the 2012 season as it is BBCOR certified.
I'm 5' 7" 130 lbs...I am more of a line drive and contact hitter than a power hitter. Would the S3 be a good bat to use?
Contact hitters usually prefer a two-piece bat like the Easton S1 or Easton S2 because they have more flex. The Easton S3 is a great bat and can be used by a contact hitter, however, it is a one-piece design, which is typically preferred more by power hitters. The Easton S3 still has a well balanced swing weight, which is beneficial to many contact hitters.
Is this USSSA certified?
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat is not USSSA certified. Instead, it is BBCOR certified, which makes it legal for high school and collegiate play. The BBCOR certification is the strongest certification there is and because of this, BBCOR bats are legal for play in USSSA sanctioned events. The models that are specifically USSSA certified are the YB11S3, SL11S310, or SL11S310B models by Easton.
What is the difference between this bat and the XL3? Which one would feel lighter and more balanced?
The Easton XL3 is going to have a slightly larger barrel but have a more end loaded feel. The Easton S3 is designed more for your contact hitters who prefer the balanced swing weight.
My son is 14 years old 5 ft 11" and 135 lbs. Would the Easton S3 be a good bat? He has very fast bat speed and we had a problem with light bats. Is the S3 balanced or end loaded?
The Easton S3 is a very balanced bat. If your son already has great bat speed, I would recommend the Easton XL3 BBCOR: BB11X3 Adult, which is end loaded.
is there a reason why the S3 is cheaper than the S2? I understand the S2 is half composite therefore it bends more at contact but is that really that big a deal? Should I get the S2 or S3?
All alloy bats are the cheapest to manufacture, and therefore cheaper in price, but the Easton S3 is very high performing. If you are a power hitter, I would go with the S3 since it is stiffer. However, if you are a contact hitter, the S2 may be a better option.
How does this bat compare to the others in it's series?
The Easton S3 is a one-piece alloy design. The Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design and the Easton S1 is a two-piece fully composite design.
Compare the balance and "lightness" of the S3 versus the Marucci Cat 5.
The Easton S3 and the Marucci Cat 5 are very similar. Both models are designed to have a lighter swing weight and more stiffness as they will not flex as much as a two-piece bat during your swinging motion.
Was told that the 29/26 version of this doesn't have the BBCOR stamp on it. Is this true?
I have personally checked the 29/26 bat and it has the BBCOR stamp.
Does the bat require breaking in?
No, the Easton S3 is a one-piece alloy bat which will not require any break-in period. Bats that have barrels that are constructed of composite material require a break-in period.
How does this bat compare to the S1 and S2?
The Easton S1 is a two-piece fully composite design. The Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design with a composite handle and aluminum barrel. The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design.
How does this bat differ from Easton XL3 BBCOR: BB11X3 Adult? Which one would you recommend and which type of hitter is each of the two for?
The Easton S3 has a more balanced weight to it and the Easton XL3 has a more end-loaded feel and a little longer barrel. The Easton S3 and the Easton XL3 are very comparable bats, it simply comes down to personal preference as to which bat you prefer to swing.
Is this bat a USSSA bat?
No, this Easton S3 model is not a USSSA bat. It is certified for adult baseball with a BBCOR certification. This bat is legal for play in some USSSA senior leagues or tourneys that allow big barrel bats to be used. The Easton S3 SL11S310B and the Easton S3 SL11S310 Senior League bats are USSSA bats.
I need a BBCOR bat and I tried out my friends S2 and loved it, but it's out of my price range. What's the difference between the S2 and S3?
The Easton S2 and the Easton S3 have the same barrel composition as they are both aluminum barrels. The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design and the Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design.
What is the difference between the S1, S2, and S3? Which one has the most pop?
The Easton S1 is a two-piece all composite bat. The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Easton S3 is a one-piece all aluminum bat. They are all high performing bats. If you prefer a one-piece design, the S3 is the way to go. If you prefer a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel, the S2 will be your best option and if you prefer a two-piece design with a composite barrel, the S1 will be your best option.
My 13 year old son used a DeMarini Distance model DSR11 (31 inch -8) last summer with great success. He has a quick swing with strong line drives with occasional power (he batted 1st in lineup). I am looking for a BBCOR bat now for this summer. Looking at Eastons S or XL series or DeMarini Voodoo. Which would be the BBCOR equivalent (feel and build) to what he used to? TIA.
The Distance is a one-piece all aluminum bat. The only BBCOR bat from Demarini that we have in stock that is like that is the Versus. However, of the bats that you mention, the S3 or Rival would be most similar to the Distance. The Voodoo is a two-piece bat that has a composite handle, and alumium barrel.
Is the S3 like the Easton Surge?
The Easton S3 is very similar to the Easton Rival. The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum bat that is very high performing and durable.
What you reccomond this bat even if im a power hitter?
Yes, the Easton S3 is a one-piece bat that works great for a power hitter who is looking for optimal control.
How does this compare to the Marucci Cat 5 squared?
The Marucci Cat 5 and the Easton S3 are going to be very good and have a lot of pop. They are both one-piece aluminum/alloy designs that have a balanced swing weight.
If you could pick out of the Easton S3, the Marucci Cat 5, and the Rawlings 5150 BBCOR bat, which would you choose?
WOW. All three of those bats are great BBCOR bats. I'd put all three in a hat and draw one out. They are very solid bats and have great pop off the barrel. If you go with the Easton S3, the Marucci Cat 5, or the Rawlings 5150, you won't be disappointed with whatever bat you choose.
I'm a freshmen in high school. I have some upper body strength and I was wondering which bat would be better the Easton S3, the Easton Surge, or the Easton XL3?
The Easton S3 and the Easton XL3 are going to be newer models and have more up to date technology in the design of the bats. The S3 and the XL3 are both one-piece designs, which are typically preferred by many power hitters. The Easton Surge is a two-piece bat which are preferred by a lot of contact hitters.
What's the difference between the S3, S2, or S1?
The Easton S1 is a two-piece bat with a composite barrel and composite handle. The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The S3 is a one-piece bat that is all aluminum. All of the bats from the Easton S-Series are great high performing bats.
Am getting kinda confused. People are saying different things. Which is for contact hitters one-piece or two-piece?
Two-piece bats are better suited for contact hitters. They create more flex through the zone and should give contact hitters or hitters with below average swing speed more pop. One-piece bats are typically better suited for power hitters as they provide more stiffness and not as much flex when swung.
What is the difference between the Easton S3 BBCOR and the Easton XL3 BBCOR bats?
The Easton S3 is part of the Speed series and is going to have a more balanced feel to it. The Easton XL3 is going to have a slightly longer barrel and has a slight end load feel to it. The S3 and the XL3 are both one-piece fully aluminum bats.
Which 30" BBCOR bat is the easiest to swing (most balanced and not end loaded)? The Easton S3 or the Rawlings Plasma?
The Easton S3 and the Rawlings Plasma are both well balanced bats.
What is the difference between the S3, S2 and S1?
The Easton S3 is going to be the replacement for the Rival, so it will be a one-piece all alloy. The Easton S2 is going to be the replacement for the Surge, so it is a two-piece model having an alloy barrel and composite handle. While the Easton S1 is going to be the replacement for the Omen; it is going to be a two-piece fully composite design.
Does this bat have a stiff or regular flex handle?
The Easton S3 has a stiff handle. The Easton S1 and the Easton S2 are two-piece bats, so they have more flex in their handle.
Will this bat be legal to use at Babe Ruth in 2012 and longer?
Yes, the Easton S3 is legal in Babe Ruth play for 2012. We are uncertain of what future rule changes may apply, but as of now, we have not heard of any rule changes in the near future.
Did this bat take the place of the Rival?
Yes, the Easton S3 bat did replace the Easton Rival. They are both one-piece aluminum bats.
I'm an average hitter with some power and can make contact sometimes. Which its better for me, the S3 or the XL3?
The Easton S3 had a more balanced swing weight to it. The XL3 is going to have a slightly longer barrel, but also feels more end loaded. If you have great bat speed, the XL3 may not be a bad option, but if you have average bat speed, the S3 may be the better fit for you.
Is this bat ok to use in 13 youth baseball and is it ok for high school baseball?
Yes, the Easton S3 is BBCOR certified, so it is legal for play at almost every level that allows big barrel bats. The certification for high school and collegiate baseball is the BBCOR certification.
What's the difference between the S2 and S3?
The Easton S2 is a two-piece construction with the handle constructed out of composite material and the barrel being alloy. The Easton S3 is a one-piece full aluminum construction.
The Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design and the Easton S3 is a one-piece all alloy design.
Which Power Brigade would be best for a speedy leadoff hitter who hits for average?
The Easton S-Series is the best option out of the S-Series versus the XL-Series. Most contact hitters prefer to use a two-piece model like the S1 or the S2 and most power hitters prefer to use a one-piece model like the Easton S3. The XL series is going to have a slightly longer barrel, but the bat feels slightly more end heavy.
Do one-piece bats or two-piece bats generaly have more pop?
The answer to that lies with what type of hitter the player is. Most power hitters prefer and one-piece bat and most contact hitters prefer a two-piece bat. Two-piece bats provide more flex, giving the bat more of a whipping action when the player swings the bat.
How does this bat compare to the 2012 TPX Warrior?
The Easton S3 and the Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior are both one-piece alloy designs. The metal used in the Easton S3 is a little more durable than the alloy used in the Warrior. If you are looking for a Louisville Slugger alloy bat that is more comparable to the Easton S3, I would say the TPX Omaha is a closer comparison than the TPX Warrior.
What is difference between the S3, XL3 and Rival with the THT 100, the Demarini M2M SC4 alloy and Reflex 7050 alloy. Is there a preference or performance difference with each of these materials?
Every manufacturer has their patented alloy. The Easton S3 is designed more like the old Speed bat, with the low MOI for a faster bat speed. The Easton XL line is an extended barrel.
What is the difference of the sound of the S3 compared to the S1 when you hit the ball?
The Easton S3 is an aluminum bat, so it is going to have a ping sound. The Easton S1 is a full composite bat, so it will have more of a thud sound coming off of the bat
My son is a power hitter and from what I read should be using a 1 piece bat. For 2012, which is best? Easton? Rawlings? etc, and which model?
There are so many excellent one-piece BBCOR bats. This one, the Easton S3 is a good one, as is the Easton XL3. The Rawlings 5150 is another great one-piece alloy design. Louisville Slugger makes the TPX Omaha. There is also the Combat B3, Nike Aero, Marucci Cat 5, and many more. All would be great for a power hitter.
I'm a power hitter but I think my bat speed is a part of my game. My past bat has been the Rival. Which bat do you think will best suit me, the S3 or the XL3?
If you are a power hitter, the Easton XL3 is going to be tailored more for you if you already have a great bat speed. If you have an average bat speed, but are a power hitter, I would say the S3 may be a good option. With the new design, these bats have been specifically manufactured for the power, and to integrate the speed with it as well.
I have to find a bat for mt first year of high school ball and there are 2 bats that I am looking at. Easton S3 and Easton XL3. What would you suggest for a 5'9'' 210 power hitter?
The XL3 would be more tailored to the power hitting type framed athlete if you have a quick bat speed. The Easton S3 can also be used by a power hitter with a slower bat speed. The S3 is more balanced than the XL3, but the XL3 has a slightly longer barrel.
What is the difference between the S1 and S3 other than the price?
If you check the features out you will see that the Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design and the Easton S1 is two-piece fully composite design. Composite bats and two-piece bats tend to be a little pricier as they have a high production cost.
What's the difference in the Easton S3 and the XL3?
The Easton XL3 has more of an end-loaded feel as the barrel is slight longer (better suited for stronger power hitters). The Easton S3 has a more balanced swing weight (better suited for contact hitters or power hitters looking to increase their swing speed).
Will this bat perform the way the 2011 Easton Speed did?
The Easton S3 is designed to perform as close to the Speeds of the past as much as the BBCOR certification allows.
Which bat out of the Speed Series and XL Series is not end heavy and has the most pop for a mostly contact hitter but can show a little pull power..I've seen where experts have said one-piece is for power hitters and some say one-piece is for contact, so im not sure what to go with. Thanks!
The Speed Series will be evenly balanced and not end-loaded like the XL Series. The Easton S1 will be the highest performing and Easton's top of the line followed by the S2 and S3. The Easton S3 is a stiffer bat that stronger hitters often prefer.
I'm a contact hitter and i'm looking at the S3 BBCOR and the XL3 alloy BBCOR. Which one should I go with?
The Easton S3 will be more evenly balanced. The Easton XL3 will be more end-loaded. Stronger power hitters would probably prefer the XL3. A contact hitter or power hitter with a slower bat speed would probably be better suited with the Easton S3.
Should a contact hitter go with the S1, S2, or S3 baseball bat?
The Easton S1 or Easton S2 would be the better option for a contact hitter since they are both two-piece bats with more flex. The Easton S1 is a two-piece full composite design and the Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design.
I am about 5'10", 170 pounds. I have some pull power at times and very fast hands.. Mostly a doubles and triples kinda guy though. Which one of these new Easton bats would fit me best?
I would look at the XL series, the S series is going to help the player increase bat speed where as the xl series is going to help the player generate more pop off of the bat. The Easton S-Series has more of a well-balanced swing weight and the Easton XL-Series has more of an end loaded feel.
Is the Easton S3 a better bat than the 2 piece DeMarini Versus for a contact hitter?
The Demarini Versus is more for contact hitters as it is a two-piece design. The Easton S3 is better suited for power hitters. The Easton S2 is also a two-piece bat that would be great for contact hitters.
What series would you recomend if you have both power and swing speed?
I would recommend the Easton XL series which are slightly end loaded but they have a longer barrel than the S series. These are great for power hitters.
What is the difference between the S3 and the S2 Easton BBCOR bats?
The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum bat and the Easton S2 is a two-piece hybrid design, meaning that it has an aluminum barrel and a composite handle.
Would you recommend this bat for a power hitter? This is my first year of high school ball and I'm looking for a BBCOR bat with great POP. What would be your suggestion? This Easton or another?
The Easton S3 is a great bat for a power hitter. If you want a slightly end loaded bat, the Easton XL3 would be an excellent choice as well. More information on the Easton XL3 may be found at http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-xl3-bbcor--bb11x3-adult/14434/
Which BBCOR bat on the market would be best for a power hitter?
The Easton S3 is perfect for a power hitter unless you want a slightly end loaded bat. In that case, the Easton XL3 is another great option.
I am a 5'8" 130lb. junior. I have fast bat speed but am more of a contact hitter. Which Easton bat would be best for me?
The Easton S3 is more for power hitters because it is a one-piece design. The Easton S3 may still be used by contact hitters as it does have a well balanced weight. However, the Easton S1 and the Easton S2 are two-piece designs that may be better suited for contact hitters.
Which Power Brigade bat would be best for a four hole hitter who wants to also have a quick swing speed?
The Easton S3 is one of the best options for a clean up hitter who still wants quick bat speed. The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat which is perfect for a power hitter, but the S3 is also very well balanced.
I was wondering if the S3 is a better bat than the Cat 5?
The Easton S3 and the Marucci Cat 5 are very comparable bats as they are both balanced and one-piece alloy designs. The S3 and the Cat 5 are both high performing durable bats.
I'm a 5-5 120 pound sophomore who's more of a defensive player who hits for contact. None of the pitchers in my league throw gas so should I go for this or the XL?
The Easton S3 is going to be more of a well balanced bat, so you will probably be able to generate more bat speed with the Easton S3. The Easton XL3 is going to have a slight end loaded feel, but also has a slightly longer barrel. The S3 will probably be a better fit for a contact hitter over the XL3. The XL1 and XL2 may be another option to look into.
I'm 6'1" 190lbs, and am currently swinging the Marucci Cat 5. I like it alot, except for the handle. I'm a power hitter and have fast bat speed. Would the easton S3 or XL3 be a bettter choice? or should I wait for the new Marucci to come out?
We do not have much information on the new Marucci bats, but the new Easton S3 and XL3 are very good options. The Easton S3 will help generate a quicker swing similar to the Marucci Cat 5. The Easton XL3 has a slight end loaded feel but has a slightly longer barrel than the Easton S3 and Marucci Cat 5.
Does the end cap have occurrences of coming off if hit towards end of the bat? Also is this bat for contact or power hitters?
We have not heard of many issues with the end cap coming off. A one-piece bat like the Easton S3 is designed more for power hitters. Two-piece bats like the Easton S1 and Easton S2 are more for contact hitters. If the end cap does happen to come off, it will be covered under twelve month manufacturer's warranty through Easton.
How does the S3 compare to the S2?
The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat and the Easton S2 is a two-piece bat. The one-piece bat is more for power hitters and the two-piece bat is more for contact hitters. One-piece bats have less flex than two-piece bats.
Both bats are excellent bats. The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum bat while the Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with composite handle and an aluminum barrel. The S3 is designed for power hitters due to the one-piece design and the S2 is for contact hitters due to the two-piece design. A two-piece bat has more flex than a one-piece bat causing more of a whipping action when swung.
Which bat would you reccomend, this one or the Rawlings BBCOR 5150?
I would actually recommend both. The Rawlings 5150 and the Easton S3 are both great BBCOR bats. They are very comparable in the fact that they are both one-piece alloy/aluminum bats.
What BBCOR bat comes from the Easton Rival?
If you're looking for the Easton Rival BBCOR bat, check out model number BG2. The Easton S3 is a replacement for the Easton Rival as they are both one-piece aluminum designs. We have some Easton Rivals left at http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-rival-bbcor--bg2-adult/13061/
This is a one-piece bat correct?
Yes, the Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design.
Trying to decide between the S2 and the S3. Do both have regular flex handles? My son is mostly a contact hitter but does show some power at times.
The Easton S3 is a one-piece, all aluminum design. The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and aluminum barrel. The Easton S2 will have a bit more flex to it making it beneficial for contact or gap hitter looking to add more pop. The S3 would be more beneficial for natural power hitters as it does not have a flex handle like most two-piece designs.
This is a one-piece bat. Therefore, is this bat for a power hittter? But there is also the XL3, which is advertised for power hitters? So is Speed Series for contact hitters and XL series for power hitters and disregard if it's a two-piece or one-piece bat?
The Easton S3 is a one-piece bat, which is typically preferred more by power hitters. Because the S3 is so balanced, many contact hitters may use the S3 as well. The S1 and S2 will be better suited for a contact hitter. The XL series is the same way in the XL3 being more for a power hitter and the XL1 and XL2 being more of a contact hitters bat. However, the XL series has a slightly longer barrel leading to more of an end loaded feel.
Should I get this bat or the 5150 BBCOR? I like this bats cool graphics...... I am more of a contact hitter.
The Easton S3 is a one-piece aluminum design that has a very well balanced feel to it. If you like the graphics on the S3, then I would probably go with the S3. If you like the graphics on the Rawlings 5150 better, then I would say go with the 5150. They are very comparable bats.
Will you be carrying the XL3 model?
Yes, we currently carry the Easton XL3. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-xl3-bbcor--bb11x3-adult/14434/
Which Power Brigade bat would be best for a contact hitter with some power? S series or XL series?
If you are a contact hitter with some power, I would recommend either the S1, S2, or S3 from the Speed series. However, if you want to go with the XL series, I would suggest going with either the XL1 or XL2, but probably stay away from the XL3 as it is geared specifically towards a power hitter.
Should contact hitters stick with one piece alloy bats or is a 2 piece bat a good option as well?
Contact hitters typically prefer two-piece bats over one-piece designs as the two-piece construction provides more flex when swinging the bat. Power hitters typically prefer using one-piece designs.
How does this bat compare to other BBCOR bats on the market?
The Easton S3 is one of the hottest selling BBCOR bats that have hit the market. The S3 is a well balanced one-piece aluminum design.
