The 2013 Easton XL3 (SL13X35) Senior League and the 2014 Easton XL3 (SL14X35) Senior League bats will be very similar in design and performance. Both model years are constructed with Easton's THT100 Scandium Alloy and both feature the same slightly end loaded feel. The most noticeable difference between the two would be the paint scheme change.
Which is more end loaded, the Easton XL3 or the DeMarini Voodoo?
The 2013 Easton XL3 (SL13X35) and the DeMarini Voodoo both feature a slight end load so the swing weights will feel comparable. The Easton XL3 will be stiffer swinging since it is a one-piece bat that is fully alloy compared to the DeMarini Voodoo, which is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Voodoo will have more flex to it when it is swung.
Due to BBCOR requirements, would a -5 Senior League XL1 have more trampoline effect than a -3 BBCOR XL1?

Yes, we recommend moving up in weight at the age of 13. I would either look at a -5 or a -8 depending on how the player can control the bat. Personally, I think he is ready for a -5. He will notice the difference in weight and may take a little bit of time to adjust. It is better to slowly transition now instead of making a large jump from a -10 to a -3 once he begins High School.

They say the speed edition is made for faster swing speeds but this bat the XL is a drop 5 so how is the other s4 faster?

The XL Series is endloaded for player who already have good swing speed looking to add more inertia and power. The S4 has a 2 1/2" barrel and will offer a much lighter swing weight than the XL3.
