Pros: Amazing sweet spot size and performance. I took my son to batting cages and I threw him a bucket using his old bat, and a bucket with this bat (demo), and he was hitting laser line-drives with this Easton XL3. I am getting him this bat for xmas!
Cons: Doesn't dent like other similar bats, but it does discolor very quickly (white composite is dirt magnet). But who cares...it's baseball!
Anonymous
Pros: Son used it once after being Christmas gift for practice felt real comfortable and felt great pop, will wait towards season opener.
Cons: none for now
hitman
Pros: Got this bat for my son and he is 8 years old and he plays for a travel team and this bat is the BOOM!!!! THE WHOLE TEAM LOVES IT THEY HIT LASERS WITH IT...easton does it again.
Cons: none
oh baby
Pros: this bat is wonderful it has a powerful hitting zone all over my 7 yr old is hitting with power when he hits we just say oh baby
Cons:
Anonymous
Pros: Huge amount of pop, i would compare this bat to the old blue and white speed but with only 40 balls hit with it I can see 2 dents on it already. My son has 4 eastons from the omen to the rival and this one outperforms them
Cons: dents, if your son is a power hitter go with the senior s3
Bruggs
Pros: My son who's 5yo loves it, told me he'll be hitting a few dingers this year. We went to the cages as soon as we got it and he loved it. I can tell the ball is jumping off it and the balance seems to be good for him as he hit a lot of line drives. We had assessments this past weekend and all of the other coaches had to get their hands on it.
Cons: Non available.
Mansell
Pros: 7 year old is hitting seeds out of the wraper with this bat
Cons: none
BigMike
Pros: Great pop! Maybe alittle more than last years V12. Seems to have a good sweet spot.
Cons: none
antsau
Pros: Tried this bat out yesterday and the ball will take off on a line drive no questions asked. Really liked the results
Cons: If your not wearing gloves their will be vibration on contact. My 8 year old couldn't really hit without the gloves
pro hitter
Pros: i hit good with that bat
Cons: good bat
DNH
Pros: Love the balance and has great "pop".
Cons: Because of the color, it does scuff easily. That just adds character.
Koppy
Pros: Was told this bat was a good one. Yes it is! (6 almost 7 yr old, coach pitch) borrowed it for practice and hit some good shots. Ordered one right after practice.
Cons:
droby
Pros: This bat has great pop. I am very picky with the sound of the bat. If you like "ping" this isn't for you. This bat almost sounds like a wooden bat which I love. My son has always made good contact but never really drove the ball, now that he has this one he is driving the ball through the infield and hard line-drives.
Cons: The bat is white. Need I say more? It is going to mark easily. I have a bat sleeve on it right now so can't really tell.
Cowboy
Pros: My sons loves this bat. Great pop. We received this bat quickly after we ordered it. Great Service!
Cons: None
Beasty
Pros: Cool looking
Cons: not big like a 30 to 32 inch.
Bobby
Pros: Excellent size, weight, build. Used by many of Bobby's teammates even if they have their own bat
Cons: None
Tony
Pros: Biggest sweet spot I've seen in a bat of this size to date. We bought 3 of them for our 8 and under team and we now have 6 total. You could spend more, but I really don't see why you would for something smaller than 28/18. Much better than the composite bats we used last season.
Cons: Grip will wear out with extended use, but aftermarket wraps are far better anyways for only $10.
Walkman
Pros: Definitely has some pop. 7 yr old coach pitch and he is swingin with confidence. After many hours of researching, we made a great decisionn going with this bat. Had several parents wanting to check it out.
Cons: The white shows off the scuffs but as someone else said, thats just adding character.
MUDCATDAD
Pros: Nice looking bat.
Cons: The bat dented on the second use.
Anonymous
Pros: Good one piece bat for young contact hitters. Very forgiving with a large sweet spot.
Cons: None.
AG's Mom
Pros: My son had used a bat similiar last season and neeeded to move up bat size. This was recommended and a friend has the same bat. The boys on the team all tend to gravite towards these bats and consistly have good at bats with them. The weight and size are helping them to get their natural swing movement memorized. We are looking forward to another WINNING season.
Cons:
Anonymous
Pros: My boys seems to like how it hits
Cons: Little over priced
bommer
Pros: it aeaston bat
Cons: it to much money
Cameron
Pros: Great pop, bigger sweet spot that other big barrel bats. Took my small (45 lbs.)5 yr old a week to get used to the weight difference but hits 10-20 ft farther than lighter, small barrel bats.
Cons: Feels heavier than listed (we got 25in-15oz)
Eric
Pros: I coach a competitive Select 7U baseball team, and we have 5 of these bats on the team. Large sweet spot produces a very live hit ball with lots of "pop". Very balanced. I've seen pretty much every Junior Big Barrel bat out there, and you can't go wrong with this one.
Cons:
Brad
Pros: This is my sons first year of coach pitch. He just turned 7. He was consistently making good contact and hitting hard liners in the infield. I bought this bat in hopes it would give him enough pop to get through the infield or to the outfield. His first at bat with the new bat, he hit it in the air over 2nd base to the outfield, his furthest hit of the year. Most kids on the team now want to use his bat. I would recommend this bat.
Cons:
BIG HITS
Pros: can use for travel ball
Cons: To much money
big white
Pros: it has the best pop ever
Cons:
darrendane
Pros: has some pop
Cons: bat cracked after 6 games and is a hassle getting warranteed
Nico
Pros: My 4year old played first season in coach pitch and was first in his league to swing this bat. He was hitting lasers right over 2nd base and driving the ball further than the older and bigger kids in league.
Cons: NONE
KC # 1
Pros: awesome bat ball just jumps off the bat...My son loves it and the other kids on the team are using it also....
Cons: FLAWLESS so far...
jack
Pros: awseome pop
Cons:
AC3
Pros: Needed a big barrel bat for my 8U player and this is just right... Great pop Well Balanced Great Bang for the Buck
Cons: Ntg at the moment
Anonymous
Pros: I bought the 26/16 for my 6 year old. He ways 52 lbs. this bat has good pop and a large sweet spot. The white does get dirty pretty quick but not a concern. I would definitely recommend this bat to a bigger kid.
Cons: This bat is heavier than advertised. It weighs 18.1 oz. (weighed on a digital scale) it gets heavy during batting practice. So be prepared to grow into this bat. I weighed a couple of other bats and they were all 15.9-16.4.
Macon, Ga
Pros: This is a great bat, with lots of pop. My 7u team loves it and will continue have it be one of the most liked bats
Cons: Much different pop than the combat BUBBA bat that is composite. Wish it had just that amount of pop in an alloy but, its not even close. But still a great bat for an alloy
Anonymous
Pros: Great bat with excellent pop! Would recommend for any 7U.
Cons: As with all easton bats needs a little better grip.
Kb
Pros: Great bat has alot of pop to it. My son went from hitting grounders to smacking rockets to outfield. Thank you Just Bats as you were only dealer who had this bat available right before fall ball!!!
Cons: Nothing
Jesse
Pros: This bat has a lot of pop. Many of my players on a 7U machine pitch team use it. Balls are consistently driven to the fence and grounders are too hot for infielders to pick up.
Cons: NO cons. Bat has held up very well. No dents and over 25 games and practices.
Anonymous
Pros: This is the real deal!!!
Cons:
8u
Pros: The bat is hot!!! My son 50 lbs was consistently driving the ball. No dents also, held up well in first tourney.
Cons: None
Tank
Pros: WOW. Excellent bat. My 8 year old son plays in a coach/kid pitch league. He hit several doubles and triples with this bat. At his last at bat for the fall season, he hit a 200 foot grand slam. I bought the bat for him before the fall season began and I worked with him in the cage 3-4 days a week for a couple of weeks before the sesaon began. I knew the way he was hitting with this bat that he was going to enjoy it ... and that he did. As a father, I thoroughly enjoyed watching him have fun playing baseball. WOW.
Cons: It takes a little batting practice in the cage to get this bat broke in and warmed up. But it's worth it.
tk
Pros: Good pop out of the box.
Cons:
Baseball Mom
Pros: This is the first year my 7 yr old son has used a Big Barrel bat. He tried several of his teammates and really couldn't get a good hit or good feel with any. I bought this bat for him and his hitting has imporved. It has such a nice sweet spot, several of the other players are now using his bat.
Cons: None to this point.
Coach mike
Pros: Bat has good pop but seems to swing heavier than the other 15 oz. bats on the team. End loaded is my guess just something to think about before you buy. Other than that no complaints and great bang for your buck.
Cons:
John
Pros: My son turns 8 next week. He's in his first year of kid-pitch and was having trouble making contact with the thinner, heavier bats. He had one hitting lesson with this new bat, and in his first game with it he ripped a 2-out walk-off double and was the hero of the game. We call this "the magic bat" and many of his teammates use it now. He's more confident at the plate now and he loves it!
Cons: He's played 4 games with it - nothing to complain about yet.
