Coach Joe
Pros: This is a very aggressive little bat. I have been coaching for years and I got this for my daughter who is playing high school ball now. The bat sting is gone and the bat is light enough to get her swing around quickly. The distance she hits has greatly improved with this bat also.
Cons: Can't think of any.

Good little bat for the price.

Pros: My 8U dtr, #3 in the line up started having problems staying in the batters box a few games ago, had never done before and she stopped hitting. She said her bat was too short and she was too close to the plate. 3 other bats we tried were to heavy, not the right ratio, or she just did not like it. We found this bat in 27/15oz at justbats.com, ordered it and at my door by the end of the week. We gave it a try w/ the wrapper still on and she liked it, she said "it feels good. We used it in BP & a few games now & shes back to her old self swinging, hitting, and getting on base. i asked if she wanted her old bat she said "no way!" We have not seen any other improvements to her batting with this bat. She's swinging the bat again and staying in the box..which is what we wanted. good bat for the price. Good team bat, won't break the bank on a 3-pack.
Cons: it sounds odd on solid hits, no pop, but other than that it's a good bat. We'll use it for BP after the season and with more time find her an all around better bat for winter ball.

Not worth the $
Steve

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Pretty good sweet spot for minus 12 drop
- Looks nice
- Louisville Slugger bats are generally good quality
Cons: - Dented in first game by my 8 year old. Granted she swings fairly hard for an 8 yr old girl... but no way this bat should be dented from coach pitch 8u game.
- You are getting what you pay for.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.

Need Help Finding a Bat?
We know that buying a bat might not be easy, but we are here to help!
Yes, JustBats.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Bat Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.
We will notify you as soon as this item comes in stock.
