The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack Senior League Baseball Bat (SL13A) is a similar style to the two-piece composite design of the 2015 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15MK9). The Attack is a bit heavier and will not have quite as long of a barrel.
Can this bat be used in a batting cage with the yellow dimpled balls from a pitching machine?
We do not recommend using composite bats like the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack Senior League Baseball Bat (SL13A) in a batting cage, it can be damaging to the bat.

I am 12 years old. I am 5'2" and weigh about 93 lbs. Would a 30" 22 oz. TPX Attack bat be a good choice for me? I bat 3rd in my lineup.
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack (SL13A Senior League) would be a great bat option for you at your size. The bat design and materials will be very high performing. At your age the -8 length to weight option would be appropriate.
Is the Attack approved for Intermediate league?
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack (SL13A) Senior League bat is NOT approved for the Intermediate (50/70) division of Little League baseball. To be able to use a composite barrel in that league, the bat must be a BBCOR certified -3 model.

We are scheduled to get the BBCOR 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack in the middle of January. The Senior League models should be due out shortly after that. The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack: SL13A Senior League is designed for a contact hitter since it is a two-piece design.

Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model. Both the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack: SL13A Senior League bat and the DeMarini CF5 are two-piece fully composite designs with very balanced swing weights. They would be good options for a contact hitter.
Can this bat be used right out of the box or does it need a break-in period? What is the proper way to break-in a composite bat?
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack: SL13A Senior League bat will need a period of break-in. For bats with composite hitting surfaces, we recommend 150-200 hits off a batting tee or soft toss. Itâ€™s best to start off at about 40% power, and gradually increase. Also, be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of turn in your hands after every hit.
Do composite bats lose their "pop" over time? If so, about how long will it keep its integrity? Or is this just a myth?
Composite bats do no generally lose their pop over time. They maintain their performance until the bat loses its integrity.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack will require 150-200 hits off of soft toss or a tee. Rotate the bat 1/4" every swing for full barrel coverage. Start at 50% power and work your way up from there.
My grandson used a 30" 20oz. TPX Omaha last year at age 12. Would the Attack 31" -8 be a good upgrade for him this year at age 13?
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack 31" 23oz. would be perfect for him. It is always recommended to start going heavier for high school -3 BBCOR bats and the Attack is an outstanding bat.
