I'm looking for a durable bat to last 1 year or more. I am looking at this bat and the Easton S1. Would this bat have a longer life span because it's aluminum or will the S1 last longer?

Both the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) and the 2014 Easton S1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14S1) will be very durable models. In general, we have seen composite barrel bats like the Easton S1 last a bit longer in their peak performance level than aluminum models.

I am more of a contact hitter. What would you guys recommend for me, this bat, or the 2014 Rawlings VELO? Which bat has the least amount of vibration when you hit off the tip or handle?

Both the Rawlings VELO and the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB136 would feel exceptional. The balanced swing weight and alloy design will be very high performing. Both bats will provide the same low amount of hand sting when you mishit a baseball.

Why is the 2013 BBCOR Omaha 32/29 sold at a higher price ($179.99) as compared to 2014 BBCOR Assault 32/29 ($99.99)? Isn't the Assault the "newer" version of the Omaha, or is the 2013 Omaha an overall better bat than the Assault?

The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB136) is the previous version to the Slugger Assault bat for 2014. They feature the same design and materials. The only difference in the color scheme. Pricing is set based on inventory.

I am a 5 foot tall freshmen and I weigh 110 pounds. What size bat should I get? Would this be a good bat for me?

Based on your height and weight we would suggest either a 29 or 30 inch bat. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) would be a good choice because it is available in the length that would work well for you and it is well balanced so it will have a light swing weight which can help produce better bat speed.

I am a power and contact hitter. I am 6 foot and weigh 205 pounds. Which bat would be better for me; the Louisville Slugger ExoGrid 3 or this bat?

Both the Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3 BBCOR (BB13EX) and the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) would be good options. The Exogrid 3 will flex a bit more which would be more beneficial for contact hitting and the Omaha would be more stiff which would be more beneficial for a power hitter.

Should I get this bat or the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo? Which one do you think is better?

Both the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR (BB136) and the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR (DXVDC) would be good options. The preference between the two would be based on your preference for the weighting and design of the bat. The Omaha is a one-piece alloy design while the Voodoo is an end-loaded two-piece hybrid design. Both will be high performing and will live up to BBCOR standards. Power hitters would tend to prefer the Voodoo while more of a contact hitter would like the balanced Omaha.

I'm 6'3 210 lbs. What bat would work well for me? Do I sound like a power or contact hitter?

Based on your approximate height and weight, the suggested length we would recommend would be 34 inches. I would also guess based on your build that power hitting would be more closely related to the type of playing style that would fit you. The one-piece alloy design on the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR would be very fitting for a power hitter. The construction and material would make it very easy to generate good bat speed and pop.

Hi there. I used my mates version of this bat last week and I'm interested in the 2014 model as it felt good. However, it made a ping unlike any bat I have ever heard in 20 years of ball. Is that an issue, and why is that the case?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult will have that ping sound due to the alloy material used in the design of the bat. Some players prefer a loud ping, while others don't. It is more of a player preference.

Our son needs an alloy bat due to playing in cold weather. He currently has a 2012 TPX Omaha which he says is "clunky". His favorite bat has been the CF5 2012 and 2013. He is a contact hitter, with above average bat speed. What do you recommend replacing his Omaha with that is appropriate for cold weather when he can't use his CF5?

Even when using the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat that is all alloy a minimum temperature of 60 degrees is recommended. If it is colder than that, you run the risk of bat damage. If he plays in colder weather try a wood bat option. As long as his league will allow that.

What is the difference between this year's Omaha and last year's Omaha? And also, is the difference in balance between the two significant, because I swung last year's Omaha and it didn't feel too balanced.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 is a very balanced model. While most BBCOR bats use thicker barrel walls to meet the performance certifications, the 2013 Omaha Balanced utilizes a composite ring below the sweet spot. This ring allows the Omaha to have thin barrel walls, which helps it maintain a very light swing weight, but to also meet the BBCOR certification. I'm 13 years old, 5' 3" and weigh about 97lbs. Will the 2013 TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult 28 oz. 31" be too heavy of a bat, or just right? I am a contact hitter.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat in a 31" may be too large for you. The recommended size for you would be a 29" BBCOR bat. The bat will be great for a contact hitter though.

My son is 6' tall and 140 lbs., he recently was able to demo the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult and the 2013 Rawlings Velo. He is more of a contact hitter, but does have some power. Which bat would you suggest?

Both the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult and the 2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR: BBVELO Adult bat are one-piece alloy designs with balanced swing weights. Both would be great options for a contact hitter.

I'm currently thinking about buying either this Omaha bat or an Easton S1. Due to reviews, ratings and taking everything into consideration, what bat would better suit me? I'm 5'11, 135 pounds, and a freshman in high school.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult and the 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR:BB13S1 are both very balanced bats. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR will be stiffer than the 2013 Eatson S1 BBCOR, better for a player with some power. Both bats perform very well.

Is the new Louisville Slugger offered in a bat pack and can bats be exchaned for other bats (even if the price rises) in bat packs?

Since this bat is so new to the market, it is not in any batpacks. Also, we are unable to alter or make any changes to current batpacks, and can only sell what is offered in them.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR is a one-piece alloy with composite inserts in the handle that provides more flex. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR is one-piece alloy that is much stiffer.

Which bat has better pop, distance, and a more balanced swing. The 2013 TPX Omaha BBCOR or the 2013 Rawlings 5150 BBCOR bat?

The better pop would come from the 2013 Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR: BBCA2 Adult, because of it's unmatched trampoline effect. The more distance would be the same 2013 Rawlings 5150 due to having more pop. The more balanced bat I would say would be the 2013 Louisville TPX Omaha.

Will this bat hold up, or will it lose its pop rather quickly? Which bat has more pop, this one or the Exogrid 3?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult will certainly hold up for many at bats to come. It comes with a 12 month warranty so if anything happens they will take care of it. The Louisville Exogrid 3 does have an upgrade in alloy which should add some pop.

I am down to this or the Marucci Black 2 for my Freshman, top of the order hitter. He is 5'-7" 130 lbs. He loves the -5 Marucci Black for Club, but he needs new High School bat? Which one? Thanks.

Both the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat and the 2013 Marucci Black 2 BBCOR Adult bat are great options. The Black 2 will provide a composite handle which will eliminate even more vibration or hand stinging. The Omaha may feel lighter in swing weight though. Both bats will be balanced models with alloy barrels. No break-in periods required.

Hi, Question. What is better the 2013 Omaha or the 2013 TPX Exogrid3?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha Balanced BBCOR: BB136 Adult bat will be a One-Piece all Alloy design. It will feature the ST+20 Alloy construction. The bat will have superb balance when swinging through the hitting zone. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR will be a Hybrid style bat. The barrel will still be made of AC21 Scandium Alloy material while the handle will be made of Composite Inserts. This will help with eliminating the sting or vibration that might travel to the hands during contact. Both of these bats will feature Louisville Slugger's Flex Band technology which will allow for the Lowest MOI (Moment Of Inertia) on the BBCOR market today. Which means you'll be swinging a lighter feeling bat with increased bat speed and balance through the hitting zone.
