Pros: Very lightweight, easy for my 9 year old to swing. Seems durable, had it about 6 weeks and no problems yet.

Cons: I'd recommend using batting gloves but that's just personal preference.

Being that this is a wood bat the weights are not going to be exact. This bat is going to be about 19oz.

I know the rules with ash (hit on the edge grain) and maple (hit along the face grain), but what do you suggest for poplar? leti

The general statement of "label up/down" should suffice for poplar, or if you are able to see the grain lines then I would probably recommend hitting off the face of the grains.
