How is the durability as well as performance of this bat in cold weather, such as Denver, CO? Fall, winter and spring seasons? This is where I will be playing.
There have been no reports of the 2013 Miken Freak Ink SuperMax USSSA: IZZYMU having sub-par performance or durability in colder temperatures. However, we don't recommend using any bat in temperatures below 55 degrees.
Do you make a bat that is ASA with the same quality as the Freak Ink?
ASA bats with the old ASA stamp will not have much pop as USSSA bats but are still made with high quality materials. Miken's top performing ASA bats are the Miken Ultra ASA and the Miken Triad ASA. These two bats feature the new ASA stamp and are approved for ASA play only.

We actually do not provide any break-in on our bats here. The 2013 Miken Freak Ink SuperMax USSSA: IZZYMU Slow Pitch bat will require 100-200 swings off of a tee or soft toss before you will see the highest performance. Just be sure to rotate the bat in your hands and break-in the composite fibers all around the barrel.
