I'm looking for a -5 bat that is balanced and I'm trying to decide between this or the Marucci Black.

The Rawlings 5150 Alloy Senior League bat will be a one-piece alloy bat. It will typically feel more stiff and a little heavier than the Marucci Black. The Marucci Black is a two-piece hybrid bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. It will have a more balanced swing weight. Plus, it will have the longer barrel with the bigger sweet spot.

What does SENIOR LEAGUE mean? I'm looking at this for my 13 yr old that plays travel ball. Will it work? And if it's a drop (-5) do you subtract the 5 from the length?

Senior League is another term for Youth Big Barrel bats. They are used in youth leagues that allow bats over 2 1/4 inch barrel. They are normally used by players ages 7-13.
