I am 6 foot 3 and weigh 230. I was wondering if you think I should be using a 34 or 34.5 inch size and if there are a big difference in the two?
Based on height and weight, a 34 inch model of the Rawlings Minor League Gamer Pro Maple Wood Baseball Bat (RMLGM) would be a good fit. You may be able to use a 34.5 inch model but it would not offer too much of an advantage besides adding more weight or mass to the bat. If you could swing them at the same speed, the added weight on the 34.5 would maybe help produce more power.

please explain the differances in turning numbers.
The turning numbers refer to the specific barrel and handle diameters. It also refers to what kind of knob the bat has and what kind of taper there is between the handle and barrel. Rawlings carries several turning models such as the 243 and the 232. The 243 will have a 2 and 5/8 inch barrel and 29/32" handle. The 232 will have a 2 and 1/2 inch barrel with 31/32" handle. The Rawlings Minor League Gamer Maple Wood Bat: RMLGM bats are surplus models and not blemished bats. They will have the model number on the barrel. Keep in mind, they are assorted, so it's not guaranteed what exact model you will get. Most are 141 or 271 turning models.
