This bat says USSSA BPF 1.20 but does not say USSSA approved, nor does it have the USSSA stamp. Does that mean it will not be allowed in a USSSA tournament after January 2014, the deadline for the new stamp?
Yes, that is correct. The RIP-IT Force: FORC6 Fastpitch does not carry the new USSSA stamp and will not be legal for play after 01/01/2014.
Can this be used in cooler climates? High school ball in northern Ohio can get very cold.
The 2012 RIP-IT Force: FORC6 Fastpitch bat is a durable bat. However, it is highly recommended to avoid use of any bat in temperatures of less than 55 degrees. It is also recommended to avoid storing your bat in places where the temperature is below 65 degrees. The temperature effects the balls, not the bat. In colder weather, the balls harden up and the bats are not designed to make contact with the balls as they harden.
There are so many approvals for bats; how am I sure the bat is approved by both ASA and high schools?
