The 2014 Easton S500 BBCOR (BB14S500) Adult bat is approved for high school and collegiate play. Some youth leagues will allow BBCOR certified bats but it is a league by league decision. We would suggest contacting your coach or league office to make sure they will allow BBCOR bats.

We do not recommend using any bat, including the 2014 Easton S500 BBCOR (BB14S500), with the yellow dimpled cage balls. The yellow cage balls are more dense than regulation baseballs so they can cause premature damage to the barrel of the bat. It will also void the manufacturer warranty from Easton. We recommend using an older bat or a wood bat, if possible.

Both the 2014 Easton S500 Youth Baseball Bat (YB14S500) and the 2014 Easton S500C Youth Baseball Bat (YB14S500C) are nice options. The main difference would be that the S500C is a two-piece design that would flex a bit more and allow for a bit more sting and vibration reduction. Both work well but the S500C would help with a bit more bat speed.
