Description

BBCOR made bats heavier and more difficult to swing, now Marucci's patented multimaterial barrel technology is making BBCOR bats lighter and easier to swing. Based on Marucci's experience at the highest level of the game, Marucci knows that every player can benefit from having a bat tailored to their exact swing and style. Marucci has also learned, however, that the vast majority of players perform better with the most balanced bats. This knowledge, combined with the desire to help build the best hitters in baseball, have been the driving forces behind the development of the Marucci Elite line of bats. While most of the industry was working to shave fractions of ounces from their bat designs, Marucci set out to reduce their barrel weights by over 2 ounces. Such a dramatic weight reduction was not possible with standard bat manufacturing processes, but after a year of intensive research and testing, Marucci has developed and patented such a technology and is incorporating it into their new line of Elite bats. Marucci's patented technology allows for industry best weight reductions by fusing composite and aluminum materials together along the length of the barrel. By replacing the final inches of the bat, including the endcap, with aerospace grade composite materials, Marucci is removing "dead weight" from the bat and replacing it with a highly engineered structure designed to extend the sweet spot and improve the feel of the bat, all while helping to achieve industry-best swing weights. Professional hitters understand the importance of using the best equipment, they know that any small advantage they can gain from their equipment puts them that much closer to success. Marucci's patented multimaterial barrel technology offers players the advantage of increased swing speeds and more control at the plate. Join the ranks of hitters who have learned to expect as much from their bat as they do from themselves. Professionally Inspired. Precision Crafted. Marucci Elite. The Elite is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Elite Hsaa Player player

Pros: Great bat, great pop, great grip.

Cons: It's a high price for the same bat as the 2013, and the 2013 is cheaper so I will get that one.

Better Balance LaserShow_2014 player

Pros: I used a 32" Elite BBCOR last year and moved up to the new 33" this year. This year's bat feels even more balanced than the older model, it looks sweet, and I am still crushing the ball with it. I am very happy with this bat.

Amazing Wes player

Pros: Balance, swing speed, pop. This bat is nothing short of extraordinary. It has a balanced swing weight, not an end load. If you prefer end loaded bats, look for a different bat. If you're like me and like a fast, balanced swing, STICK WITH THIS BAT. Once you get used to it you rake. Not to get you're hopes up, but my third full game with this bat I went 4-5 with three HRs. The swing is so smooth, and the pop is fantastic. All in all, this is a top of the line bat and would be a fantastic addition to any arsenal.

Cons: The price but luckily i got it on a fantastic 50% Deal of the Day sale.

2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 PV Travel Ball parent

Pros: Great Pop and Feel.

Cons: Doesn't last. We're on our 3rd one in 5 months. First bat the end cap cracked. 2nd bat dented in two separate spots and it lost its pop. My son always turns the bat a bit after every pitch so it doesn't hit the same spot. He's only 11 and barely 80 lbs. Wish this thing would last. Not worth the price

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBE14? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between this bat and the 2013 Marucci Elite? DeVo
The 2014 Marucci Elite is built using the same patented multilateral barrel technology as the 2013 Marucci Elite, but has been refined in a few keys areas. The seamless hybrid connections have been refined to improve feel at contact and the new tapered knob more effectively counter balances the bat, which results in an even more balanced feel. All of this make the 2014 Elite one of the most balanced and fastest swinging bats on the market.
Brandon
Is the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR the exact same bat as the 2013? rick
No, The 2014 Marucci Elite is built using the same patented multilateral barrel technology as the 2013 Marucci Elite, but has been refined in a few keys areas. The seamless hybrid connections have been refined to improve feel at contact and the new tapered knob more effectively counter balances the bat, which results in an even more balanced feel. All of this make the 2014 Elite one of the most balanced and fastest swinging bats on the market.

Which bat is better the Elite or the new Easton MAKO 31" 28 oz.? jc
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult and the 2014 Easton MAKO BBCOR: BB14MK Adult are very high performing bats. They are both balanced, and great for a contact hitter. The 2014 Easton MAKO BBCOR: BB14MK will have a slightly longer barrel.
Kara
Is this a very balanced bat? Nick
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult is very well balanced. Marucci uses patented multi-material barrel technology, which fuses aluminum and carbon fiber together. The last few inches of the barrel are replaced with composite, taking "dead weight" out of the barrel and making it an ultra-balanced model.
Katie
Is barrel longer than Marucci Black 2 or the same? How does barrel compare to Easton S1 and MAKO? Mad Dog
The 2013 Marucci Black 2 BBCOR: MCBB20 Adult has a longer barrel than the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult. The Marucci Elite and the 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR: BB13S1 will have a similar barrel size. The Easton MAKO has an extended barrel similar to the 2014 Marucci Elite.
Kara
Which bat has more pop, the Marucci Elite BBCOR or the Easton Mako BBCOR? big b
Both bats will have similar performance. They both have to meet BBCOR standards, so they have similar pop. The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult has an alloy barrel, with composite at the end to give the bat a more balanced feel. The Easton Mako is a two-piece fully composite.
Tori
Is the Marucci Elite more balanced than the COMBAT Portent BBCOR and which one has more pop? Hammer
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult is very well balanced. It's a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle, but Marucci also replaces the last few inches of the barrel with composite, taking some dead weight out. The 2014 COMBAT Portent BBCOR: PORAB103 Adult is a balanced model, but isn't quite as balanced as the Marucci Elite. The benefit of the 2014 COMBAT Portent BBCOR: PORAB103 Adult is the extended barrel. Performance-wise, they will both push the BBCOR performance regulations.
Katie
Is this bat legal for high school? rossy
Yes, the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) is legal for high school and collegiate play.
John H
Is this bat legal for high school play in every state? SM3
Yes, the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult bat will be legal everywhere BBCOR bats are required.
Brandon
What bat would you recommend for me: the MAKO , RIP-IT AIR Elite, or the Marucci Elite? I'm both a power hitter and contact hitter and I have quick bat speed. Which one would be the best ? jdd
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14 Adult, the Easton MAKO and the Marucci Elite are some of the top bats on the market. All are very balanced and feature some of the highest performing materials available today. If you are more of a composite fan, I would go with the MAKO. If you like the aluminum bats, the Marucci and RIP-IT would be the ones to go with.
Justin R.
Does it have a big sweet spot? Is it bigger than the MAKO sweet spot? frank
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the MAKO will have a similar sweet spot. The MAKO has a slightly longer barrel. Both are very high performing and durable.
Kara
What is better about the Marucci Elite vs the Marucci One. Why would I spend more money to buy the Marucci Elite? I am a 5' 3", 110 pound contact hitter. Thank you! Will
The Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) will be a seamless, multimaterial design. It will have a composite handle, an alloy sweet spot, and composite at the end of the barrel. This allows Marucci to create a more balanced bat. The Marucci One will also be balanced but will be a one-piece, fully alloy design.
Kelby
What is the break in period for this bat? magers10
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) Adult should not require any break in.
Aaron
Does the new Marucci Elite have better balance than the Mako? reed16
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the 2014 Easton MAKO BBCOR (BB14MK) will feature a very similar balance to one another.
Patrick
Would you suggest the Marucci Elite or Easton Mako for a contact hitter? Reed16
Both the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the 2014 Easton MAKO BBCOR (BB14MK) would be nice options for a contact hitter. Both feature a two-piece design that will allow for some flex that contact hitters tend to prefer. The main difference would be the material the barrel is made of. The MAKO has a composite barrel whereas the Elite has an alloy barrel. The preference between the two would be based on which material you prefer.
Patrick
I am 5'7" and 144 pounds. Is the Marucci Elite BBCOR good for me? Delgado
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) is a very high performing, two-piece bat. The balanced design is ideal for a contact hitter.
Kara
When will www.justbats.com start carrying the new Marucci Cat 6 BBCOR? Joe
Currently the Marucci Cat 6 BBCOR is exclusive to Marucci only. We do however, carry the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR: MCBE14.
Brandon
Is this bat more balanced than the 2013 Rawlings VELO? baseball
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) is an extremely balanced bat. However, the VELO is more balanced than the Marucci Elite.
Jason
Which is better this bat or the CAT 6? G
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the Marucci CAT 6 both use top of the line alloy. Both are balanced but designed for different types of hitters. The Marucci Elite is a two-piece design and better for a contact hitter. The Marucci CAT 6 is a stiffer, one-piece design that is preferred by a power hitter.
Kara
I am 6' and 155 lbs. I'm a contact/power hitter. I face fast pitching and was wondering if I should get a 32" or 33"? dollar signs
I would recommend a 32" size for the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14). It will help you achieve greater bat speeds versus that faster pitching you are seeing.
Brandon
i am 6' 2" and 197 lbs. Would you recommend the 32" or the 33"? A Ballplayer
Based on your height and weight, I would probably recommend the 33" in the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14).
Justin R.
How does the swing weight compare to the DeMarini Voodoo and Louisville Slugger Exogrid 3? I have swung both but I cannot really tell a difference between the two. big bomber
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) is extremely comparable to the EXOGRID 3. Both models are seamless hybrid designs.
Gary T.
When will you be getting another shipment of 31 inch 28 ounce Marucci Elites? Alex McCutchen
We currently have that size available for the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR MCBE14. We do not know when we will be ordering more in that size based on our current inventory. Here is a link to the page: http://www.justbats.com/product/2014-marucci-elite-bbcor--mcbe14/18516/
Patrick
What is the balanced difference between the Easton Speed Series and the Marucci Elite? tommy
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the Easton Speed Series bats will be similar in balance.
Kara
I need a new BBCOR for high school I am thinking of getting the 2014 Marucci Elite, 2014 Marucci One, or the 2014 Easton S3. I am a contact hitter with a little power which one should I get. jake
Typically a two piece bat like the 2014 Marucci Elite (MCBE14) will suit contact hitters. Two-piece bats provide more flex at contact with the ball. The two-piece construction creates a 'whip' effect that results in an increase in bat speed. An increase in bat speed results in an increase in power. A one-piece bat like the Marucci One (MCB1R) or the Easton S3 (BB14S3) One-piece bats provide little or no give and have a stiff feel when contact is made with the ball. Due to the fact that one-piece bats have a very minimal amount of flex at contact, little or no energy is lost which results in more power.
Zach
Would you say that this is the most balanced bat on the market? Jens
Its hard to say which bat is the most balanced. But the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) is definitely one of the most balanced on the market.
Bobby
Im 6'1" and 165 lbs would you recommend a 32" or a 33" bat? Jens
I would recommend a 33" 2014 Marucci Elite (MCBE14) for you based on your height and weight.
Bobby
I am 5' 7" and 110 lbs. What size would you recommend? reggie
At your current size, a 32" would be the recommended size in the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14).
Brandon
Which bat is better: the Marucci Elite or the Black BBCOR? dyl
Neither bat has been proven to outperform the other, but they are designed to fit different hitters' preferences. The Elite is more balanced than the Black with it's alloy/composite hybrid barrel, but the Black offers a longer barrel and larger sweet spot. If you're looking for the most balanced bat in the Marucci product line, the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) would be the better choice.
Mac
I'm 13 120 lbs. what size should I get I need a lighter bat but I have to get a BBCOR. Would this be good? homer
I would go with a 31" length in the 2014 Marucci Elite (MCBE14). The Marucci Elite (MCBE14) would be a very good choice because it is one of the lighter swinging bats on the BBCOR market. It has a low M.O.I. and balanced swing weight to help you generate good bat speed.
Zach
Would this bat be a good choice for my son? Hes 13 and needs a BBCOR? john
The 2014 Marucci Elite (MCBE14) would be a great option for a BBCOR bat. It offers a multimaterial barrel technology is making BBCOR bats lighter and easier to swing. Also features a Kevlar-Reinforced grip that will help eliminate sting.
Zach
What is more balanced between a Marucci Elite or DeMarini CF6? I am a contact hitter and want a very balance bat.. miguel
Both the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) will be well balanced models and will be similarly weighted. The CF6 may be a bit more balanced but not by much of a noticeable difference.
Patrick
I am 5'7" and 140 lbs. What size bat should I get? 0000
We would recommend a 32" in the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) model for you.
John
I am used to end-heavy bats. Would you say it is a good idea to go from an end-heavy bat, like the 2011 DeMarini Vexxum to this bat? Joe
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14) would not be as end-loaded as the older Vexxum models. It will only feel slightly end-loaded by design.
Patrick
When does the 2015 Marucci line come out? Idk
Unfortunately, we haven't been given a firm release date for Marucci's 2015 line yet. The CAT6 is available on Marucci's website and should be out later this fall with the rest of their 2015 line.
John H
I am 5'5" and weigh 155 pounds. What size bat should I get? How balanced is this bat? Cardinals
Based on your height and weight. we recommend a 31" 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR (MCBE14). This particular model features a balanced swing weight, so the weight distribution on the bat is evenly distributed throughout.
Tessa
Why do they call the MARUCCI black big league power what is the diff between the elite and black Dylan
The Marucci Black is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The Marucci Elite is a what they call a three piece bat. Composite handle and alloy barrel with the last couple of inches of the barrel being composite, which gives it more balance.
Damon
Does this bat feel like a 5150? Also, how does it feel compared to the Cat 6? Joe
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) is going to be a little more balanced compared to the Rawlings 5150. The Elite and the Marucci CAT 6 are going to have a very similar feel but the CAT 6 is a one piece full alloy bat whereas the Elite is a two-piece half and half design.
Cooper
What is the difference between the 2014 and 2013 model? T-Russ
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) and the 2013 Elite are the same bat other than the cosmetic appearance.
Jason
How long will this bat maintain its performance? My son has used it through the varsity and travel ball season. Is it dead yet? Vince
Unfortunately, there is really no way to predict the useful life of any bat. The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) has an alloy hitting surface which is hot right out of the wrapper and slowly declines with use. However, the amount of use the bat sees and luck both factor into the bat's longevity. If you notice that the ball doesn't leave the bat the same way it once did (when squared up), that's your best insight into whether the bat is "dead" or not.
Mac
What does the unequal technology mean? Coffman42
The Kevlar-Reinforced grip is designed to eliminate sting and vibration on the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) its description as "unequal" is just an indication of how advanced the technology was.
Patrick
Is there any difference at all between the 2013 and 2014 model other than the look? Bryant
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) and the Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBELI) will be extremely similar in terms of performance and design. The only major differences will be cosmetic in nature.
Patrick
Do you know a place where they sell the 2013 model? Doug
Most retailers are not going to have the Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBELI) still in inventory. Your best bet would be to look into eBay or Craigslist for a resale model if you are needing the 2013 model.
Patrick
Is this the best bat Marucci has to offer? Dan
I would say the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) is the best design offered by Marucci for the majority of players. It is the most balanced bat in their lineup which helps the player achieve higher swing speeds. If you're looking for a bat with a longer sweet spot and slightly heavier feel, the Marucci Black would likely be a better choice.
Mac
Is a 34/31 the only size you have for sale? Brent
Unfortunately, the 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) has been discontinued. The 34" 31 oz. is the only size we have left in stock and we will not be getting any more.
Liz
does the bat have a USSSA stanp on it? scott
The 2014 Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) does not feature the USSSA stamp. This bat does feature the BBCOR Certification stamp allowing it to be used in high school and collegiate play.
Jake
I am 5'7" and weigh 135 lbs. I am a freshman and need a drop 3 bat. Would this be a good bat for me? I used the Marucci ONE 32" drop 5 last year and it was great. Trevor
The Marucci Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBE14) is an extremely balanced bat with a low M.O.I. It is a great option for a player moving up from a drop 5 to a BBCOR bat. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model.
