Pros: great balance,fast break in period,supper hot bat with lots of pop will absolutely buy another.64lb 8yr old reaches 200 ft fence all day, no more easton bats for my son.half my sons team mates use his bat they love it. highly recomend this bat.

Cons: none other than the paint is chipping away on barrel alittle to much.

Pros: The bat looks good,

Cons: This is my sons second bat both bats lasted six week before they started to brake at the bottom of the sweet spot. We followed the warranty info you get with the bat to a tee, he was the only one that used the bat the hole time. Miken sent the replacement with on warranty engraved on the bat that is wrong the bat don't last.

There will not be any differences between the 2014 Miken REV-EX (YRVX12 Youth) and the older YREV12 other than the external color scheme.

The price difference between the Miken REV-EX Youth Baseball Bat (YREV12) and the 2014 Miken REV-EX Youth Baseball Bat (YRVX12) could be explained based on the availability and pricing from Miken on our last order as well as the supply and demand in the market. It is not necessarily an indication of one bat being better than the other.

My son and most of the boys he plays with use Easton bats (he has a 2013 XL1). 4 or 5 of those bats are having the cap come off or loose after every hit. They all have exceeded the 400 day warranty by about 30 days! Do these Miken bats have this problem and what kind of pop do these bats have verse the Easton? jason

The 2014 Miken Rev-Ex Youth Baseball Bat (YRVX12) hasn't had a prominent problem with the end cap coming off or loose. The Miken will have a 12 Month Manufacturer through Miken. Performance wise, the Rev-Ex would have very similar performance to Easton Bats.

I would say the 2014 Miken REV-EX Youth Baseball Bat (YRVX12) would be a good choice for a player just starting out. It has a balanced swing weight which makes it easier for the player to achieve higher swing weights. And the -12 length to weight ratio is on the lighter side of the market. Based on the player's height and weight, a 30" model is likely the best choice.
