This bat rocks Baseball dad coach

Pros: Great pop. Good balance my kid is 7 and used a Easton xl3 28/18 he hit the ball all the time but never like the bombs he is hitting now . He hit his first home run with this bat. Amazing bat

Mr. Wonderful Mike coach

Pros: This bat has a ton of pop. I have had the S1 and the S3, and this bat is better than both. The bat is balanced so a 30 ounce Rip It feels lighter than another 30 ounce bat. Awesome grip. This bat is one of the best on the market

Cons: None yet. I have heard of end cap issues with Rip It, but hopefully that has been taken care of with the 2014 model.

Unmatched balance - perfect bat for contact hitter William coach

Pros: Excellent look and sound. The first thing you will notice when picking up the bat is the balance. It feels and swings so light compared to all the other bats in the same sizes. Really gives the smaller batter some confidence. It's by far the most balanced and lightest feeling bat on the market. This past season our contact hitters used Lithium (blk/red one - not the new green one) and S3 but the S3 simply never had the pop and balance that the Lithium did. The Lithium is practically square now from all the dents. We've had the Rip-It for more than a month and have not had any denting and it certainly has A LOT more pop than the S3 ever did. It's MUCH more durable than the Lithium with very similar pop. You've got to swing it to understand - it just feels so light. Highly recommended.

Cons: Only con I can think of, is that the grip is a bit fatter than the current crop of bats. (specifically the Omaha and the Easton) It's got some kind of memory foam in the grip that feels great and I imagine it helps dampen vibration, but it is a bit thicker so it may take a few rounds in the cage to get used to it.

Appropriate name for the bat Kurt Hironimus player

Pros: I coach a team with many elite players. A bunch of them use this model. My son just got the bat a month ago. He is more of a contact hitter, but he definitely already feels the difference. The ball is definitely coming off the bat with increased velocity, and you can see the difference in his confidence. Just as importantly, everyone loves the feel of the bad.

Love the new confindence in his swing. Rene parent

Pros: Got this bat because his teammate got one and loves it. My son loved it right out of the box from the first swing and the pop. The bat has great balance and it feels lighter than his old bat the easton s2 that he has used for the past two seasons. He has more confidence in his swing because of less vibration and faster bat speed. Money well spent.

Great Bat!!! Rick parent

Pros: This is a 28 inch -10 for my youngest son who is just getting in to travel baseball. Although only hitting in the cage so far, he has immediately shown much more pop in his swing and is thrilled at the results. The first thing out of his mouth (after the smile) was that his hands didn't hurt when he hit the ball. No vibration and great balance for a kid his size. I'm looking forward to see him at the plate this spring. So far, it's a perfect fit and he loves it!

Taking it to the field! Coach T coach

Pros: I coach an elite travel team from Illinois that is currently using the Rip-It. I also coach a high school baseball team so I throw my share of BP. The first thing that jumped out at me when throwing to my team was the exit speed of the ball. There is a definite difference when the ball leaves the bat. The players also like the feel of the handle and the overall balance. The boys can not wait until our first tournament in Louisville to use the bats outside.

Pros: I don't have much to add that hasn't already been written. This bat really is a fantastic bat. Stop looking....unless we play you this year! Chris J. coach

Pros: I bought this bat for my son, who has been an average hitter. He is a small 10 year old, who weighs less than 60 lbs. Since getting this bat, the performance has increased his confidence, which translates to better hitting. The weight distribution of the bat (balanced, not end loaded) has increased his hand speed through the zone, which translates to higher bat speed. The feedback from the sound of the bat lets him know immediately where contact was made, so he can adjust his address to the plate. The sweet spot in this bat is HUGE!!! He is hitting farther, and harder than ever before. This is the best bat on the market! We immediately removed the white grip, and put a new Lizard Skin wrap on his bat. So, it now looks and feels even better!!!!

Cons: None.

Amazing Bat with great balance Jeff parent

Pros: The balance of this bat is amazing. Unless you have a terrible swing, this bat will always do damage to the ball. It isn't top heavy and it was a much easier transition moving from a 30"-10 (Other Competitor) bat that was rated to be the best bat out there. Rip It bats are worth every penny and the warranty is unbeatable.

Cons: I wish the knob would never get scratched...lol... I like the look of the BBCOR model with the red, but this will just have to do. I haven't found any cons yet and we've had the bat for 60 days.

Pros: Great initial pop. My son is a leadoff hitter for a travelball team. His first at bat (tournament) almost went over the fence. He ended up going 5-7 throughout the tournament. But...(see cons) FYI, my son and I were both convinced after his first at bat that its awesome bat.

Cons: After a couple of at bats, I noticed a performance hit afterward where the ball wasn't coming off the bat. When we got home after the tournament, I checked it out and noticed a a dent on it.

Great Bat for 10 yr Old Travelball! Josh player

Pros: I got this bat at the start of my Orlando Scorpions spring season. During the fall season, I was hitting good singles with an occassional double. During this spring season, I consistently hit doubles, a few triples, and am definitely getting more out of my swing. I like the way I can swing this bat.

Cons: None

Pop, but... Dan Smith parent

Pros: Well balanced bat with good pop and nice ping when hit square.

Cons: My son is 11 and has been through three SR BB Air since April 2, 2014 and the third is dented after using it in three games in two days. Another boy has been through two and a third just sent his back for another. My son is 66 pounds, so he is not too big for a 28/18. The bat dents and then cracks. This is unfortunate because the bat has great balance and pop. Customer service is great, but haven't been able to get through a week without breaking. As long as they keep sending, we will keep using.

I was curious as to the size bat to get for my son. He is going into his second season in 12U. He's about 95 lbs and has been using a 29"19oz for the past two years. Should I make the jump up to 31"21oz or would that be too much? He's got good bat speed but the outside pitches are killing him! Slamsox
If you think he has the bat speed and strength to make the jump to a 31", then that would be a great suggestion for him, size wise. If you are still unsure or still have questions about what size 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR: B1410 Senior League is best for him, I recommend using our Bat Coach. It's a great tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Whats the difference between the B1410 and the B1410B? I see one is 2 3/4" and one is 2 5/8". jjonesz74
The only difference between the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410) and the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410B) is the barrel diameter.
Kara
Is this bat stamped as BBCOR bat or is it a BBCOR bat? My sons league requires the players to use a bat stamped as a BBCOR bat. Jnewsom3
No, the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410) is a youth big barrel bat. The adult BBCOR model is the 2014 RIP-IT BBCOR AIR (B1403A) Adult.
Damon
What size bat should I go with for an 11 year old who is 4'6" and 100 lbs? ksbrew
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410) Senior League.
Jason
My son is 9 years old about 4'6" and weighs about 110 lbs. His coach says he is a power hitter, however my husband thinks he is more of a consistent contact hitter. He is usually the 4th batter. We are looking at the RIP-IT Senior AIR: B1410, Vexxum and the Easton XL1. We are having a hard time deciding which bat is best for him. Could use some recommendations. jody
The DeMarini Vexxum is a balanced, two-piece bat and is best designed for a contact hitter. The Easton XL1 is an end loaded bat and is typically used by a power hitter. The stiff, one-piece design of the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR ( B1410) is also used by a power hitter, but offers a balanced swing weight.
Kara
My son is 12 and uses a 28/18 Easton S2. Would you recommend the same 28/18 or go up a size? Mikey
If he is not struggling with swinging a 28/18 I would definitely suggest moving up a size. Increasing the size will allow him to use the bat a little bit longer. Growth spurts are quite common, and this will help take that factor into account. However, if he is struggling with this size, I would not suggest moving up.
Merritt
My son is 55 in. and 72 lbs., what size in a big barrel would he use? Conn
Based on the information you gave me I would suggest a 29" 19 oz. in the 2014 RIP-IT Senior Air (B1410).
Zach
What is the difference between the 3 senior league bats? baseballboy
The difference would be the weight of the bats of the bats. The 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410) is the lightest and it features a -10 length to weight ratio. The RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1408) is the next lightest and it features a -8 length to weight ratio. The 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1405) would be the heaviest of the three that would be a -5 length to weight ratio. Other than that the material will be the same and the performance will be the same.
Patrick
Is this bat 2 5/8? baseball boy
Yes, the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR: (B1410) will have a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter.
Merritt
My son plays travel baseball and has been using a 2 1/4" barrel and hitting very well. He is currently using the Easton XL2 28" 17 oz. What are the advantages of moving him into a bigger barrel bat? Do they have more pop than the smaller barrel bats? Ken
The advantage to using a big barrel bat such as the 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410) is the hitting surface is larger. The materials used in a small barrel bat and a big barrel bat of the same manufacturer are the same. The pop of the bat is not different.
Kara
When will more sizes be available. Frank
The 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR: B1410 Senior League has been discontinued, so we will no longer be getting anymore 2014 RIP-IT bats. RIP-IT is planning on releasing their 2015 line of bats in July, so we should see those bats in the next few months.
Jason
this bat looks really good- but it seems a lot of people say it dents, if it dent can i return for a new one? The Flash
The 2014 RIP-IT Senior AIR (B1410 Senior League) does come with a one year warranty through RIP-IT so if the bat does dent you can send it back to them for a replacement.
Cooper
My grandson has played Little League for 5 years. He currently has a 2 1/4", 31" 20 oz. Easton bat. He has been asked to join a USSSA travel team that uses 2 5/8" aluminum bats. He will be 11 in a few weeks, 5'2" and 125 lbs. He is very strong for his age and blessed in being a good contact hitter with a lot of power as well. He has great potential. Is this bat sized 32" 22 oz. right for him? Or do you have another recommendation? I have looked until everything is running together. I would really appreciate some advice. Thank you. Papaw
Yes, the 2014 RIP-IT AIR Senior League Baseball Bat (B1410) would be a great choice. Also, I would recommend the Louisville Slugger Assault or Omaha 515 Senior League. All will have light and balanced swing weights and their alloy material will have serious pop.
