The 2015 Easton FS3 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S3), 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFS), and 2015 Louisville Slugger X12 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXL152) are all nice options and high performing models. They are all rated to the same safety standards in terms of maximum performance so at their peak they will all perform similarly. The goal would be more to get the correct feel and balance for the player using the bat rather than one just outperforming the others.

Most high school players will be using a -10 length to weight ratio or heavier. The 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S110) or the 2014 Easton FS2 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14S2) are nice options that come in that length to weight ratio.

If she is strong and has good bat speed, the -10 MAKO could help add more power based on more mass in the bat. However, if you are looking to add bat speed, the FS3 Zero would be lighter and allow her to swing faster. Both are excellent, top of the line options.

I read that Easton Composite bats do not need to be broken in. I called Easton and they said the same. Yet, Chad asked if it was a hot out of the wrapper and Brandon said it takes 200-300 swings. Which is the correct answer? Nick
While the composite models Easton has recently released like the 2015 Easton FS3 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S3) do not technically "require" a break-in to be game ready, they can benefit from one because it loosens up the composite fibers to where they are closer to their peak performance level. While I would say probably closer to 100-150 hits should do it, the reason we would think a break-in is beneficial is because you can focus on what parts of the bat you are hitting with so you can get the full circumference of the bat broken-in evenly. With live hitting you never know where the ball will impact the bat on certain pitches and will probably not remember to rotate the barrel every hit.
