Okay bat James player

Pros: It has some good pop. Cool graphics.

Cons: Mine lasted for 4 months then cracked. The replacement bat has already been dented twice in 2 months. It doesn't have the old sound that Easton bats use to have.

Get It Together Easton Mason parent

Pros: Balanced swing. Good feel. Excellent customer service from JustBats.com

Cons: In 2015 Easton changed the material of their aluminum alloy bats from Scandium alloy barrels to their new Hyperlite Matrix alloy. My son's 2014 S2, which is the scandium alloy hit on average 20 to 25 feet farther than the new 2015 S2, which has the Hyperlite Matrix alloy. In his own words, "It just feels dead dad." Did they change the material because Easton had too many returns due to many dented barrels? Is it the same material with just a new name for marketing purposes? I don't know. All I know is the 2015 S2 does not seem to have nearly as much pop as the 2014 S2. Also, it may be minor but I do not like the white handle. The S1, which has the black handle looks much nicer. Lastly, Easton decided to update their computer systems in the middle of the baseball season, making me wait a month to get a replacement, which I in turn I was able to return to JustBats at 80% of what I originally bought it for. Swing and a miss on this one. Get it together Easton...

Pretty Good, too early to have a sure opinion. Jeff player

Pros: I got the 2014 model, however there seems to be no change from the 2014 model to the 2015 one. Anyway, it has good pop and feels good in my hands. Last game, I hit a 237 foot triple in my first at bat. It's great for contact hitters and good for power hitters as well.

Cons: The paint chipped off in about 10 different spots after 1 month of use. It also feels like I'm swinging an end-loaded bat.

Okay bat Dylan player

Pros: The feel of this bat is good but it is very light. That is coming from a contact hitter who doesn't generate a lot of power at all. I think it was too light. I didn't notice any sting unless you hit it off the end, or in cold weather. Some of my teammates had the same bat and they got pretty good pop out of it.

Cons: I had this bat in the 2014 model- until it cracked during a game on a groundball to third base. I had not used it in batiing cages. So the durability questionable because I had it for less than a year. Easton replaced it but it took a month for them to get me the new bat (2015 model) It is also extremely light which can be good if that's what you are looking for. It stings a little in the cold or off the end.

A Winner at this Price Greg parent

Pros: Balanced bat with great pop! An excellent bat for this price Purchased for my older son last year and just bought another one for my younger son. Excellent contact during the first use.

Cons: None that we have experienced. We used this bat in over 6- games last season and had no issues with cracking like other reviewers reported.

Hot bat, broke after 2 1/2 months Thinkingman parent

Pros: Hot! My son (13yrs old, 5'5", 150lbs) was crushing the ball.

Cons: Bat broke on an inside fastball. Hit the handle, just at the joint and you knew from the sound, it was dead. JustBats was fantastic regarding service, provided a return label and complete instructions for contacting Easton. I don't know if this is the expectation for this type of two-piece bat, but I'm surprised.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15S210? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What's the difference between this model and the S1? bigboo
The biggest difference between the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL15S210) and the 2014 Easton S1 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14S110) is going to be the material incorporated in the barrel. The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL15S210) features HyperLite Alloy and will be hot right out of the wrapper. The 2014 Easton S1 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14S110) incorporates an IMX Advanced Composite Barrel, and will require a break-in. However, this material does heat up over its lifetime. Overall, both models have the same structure and weight distribution. The biggest difference will ultimately come down to the material used in the construction of the barrel.
Merritt
Does this bat have the USSSA stamp? zorro
Yes, the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League (SL15S210) will have the USSSA BPF Stamp of 1.15 BPF stamp.
Kelby
Why is the connection piece different looking than the usual CXN piece that has been used in the past? Also, why is there only a 2 5/8" barrel? My last question is, is the swing weight balanced or end-loaded? jake
The **PRE-BOOK** 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL15S210) is going to be balanced. Cosmetically, this model has been re-designed entirely from 2014, and that also includes a new design for the CXN ConneXion Technology. At this time, we only have a 2 5/8" barrel on pre-order. However, we are expected to receive all of the Easton products and sizes offered for the new 2015 line around the first week of September.
Merritt
Does this come in 2 3/4 barrel yet? hosh
No, the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) is only available in the 2 5/8" barrel.
John
What is the difference in barrel sweet spot and length between the S2 and XL2, compared to the XL3? Tre
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) will have a normal barrel length and sweet spot. The XL2 and XL3 will have an extended barrel length and sweet spot size. They will also feel more barrel heavy compared to the S2.
Brandon
Is the S2 basically the newer version of the XL2 from last year? a.j
The 2015 Easton S2 (SL15S210) is not the replacement for the Easton XL2. Easton is no longer offering the XL2 model. The S2 is a more balanced bat that will not feature the the extended barrel that the XL Series features.
Kelby
For a non-power hitter but someone with great swing mechanics, how will this bat fare? He is small for his age but a great hitter, just not a power hitter. Dave
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) is a great bat for a contact hitter. It is balanced, which will give him a light and smooth swing while staying in control.
Allison
Is the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) approved for juniors per the Little League international rules? waddy
For which leagues approve or do not approve the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) we suggest asking your coach or league director before purchasing the bat.
Liz
What size do you recommend for a 9 year old who is 4'11" and weighs 93 lbs.? Also would you recommend this bat for a first time player? Kirby
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) would be a great choice for a first time player due to its two-piece design and balanced swing weight. The two-piece design of the bat will allow more flex on contact, which can create more of a whipping action. This can then create more pop off the bat. The balanced swing weight is also great for a player looking to work on bat speed and bat control. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 30" bat.
Tessa
Is this bat approved for PONY league? mike
It depends on your division, but the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) is approved for play in PONY Baseball. It has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter and the USSSA BPF 1.15 performance certification mark. If your division allows the use of a big barrel, this bat would be approved.
Mac
Will this have the same exact feel as the 2014 S2 when swinging? My son loved the 2014 model. cory
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) will feature the same two-piece hybrid design and balanced swing weight as the 2014 model. The alloy used was upgraded to the Hyperlite Matrix Alloy, which will result in slightly better performance with the same overall feel.
Joe
Do you have to break this bat in? Pidgeon
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) has an alloy barrel that does not require a break in.
Frankie
What is the main difference between the S1, S2 and S3 with the 2 5/8 inch barrel? My son is about 52 inches tall and under 60 pounds. I am trying to find him the right -10 bat for the season. I am also looking at DeMarini NVS series. bill
The main difference between the 2015 Easton S1 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S110), the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210), and the 2015 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S310) would be the construction. The S1 is a two-piece all composite design. The S2 is a two-piece hybrid design with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The S3 is a single-piece alloy model. All three will be well balanced and perform well. The two-piece designs will have more flex which can lead to better bat speed and better sting and vibration protection while the S3's single-piece design will allow for a stiffer feel and more control over the bat. The S1's composite barrel may last a bit longer at its peak level of performance for more sustained use at a high level over time but the S2 and S3's alloy barrels will be hot out of the wrapper and ready to go.
Patrick
Is this bat legal for 13-14 Teener league? shane
"Teener League" is a descriptor used for several different leagues throughout the country and there is not a uniform, published set of bat rules. It would be best to ask a coach or league official about what restrictions exist before purchasing anything.
Patrick

The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) is legal for play in the 13-14 division of Babe Ruth.

The barrel length on the Easton S2 is going to be shorter than the barrel on the Easton Mako. The Easton Mako is also going to be a two piece composite design. Both of these models are going to have a balanced swing weight designed for a contact hitter.
Frankie

Jason
What is the difference between the 2014 S2 and the 2015 S2? Which one is the better model and do you guys carry the 2014 S2? owen
The 2014 uses the THT100 Scandium Alloy while the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) uses the Hyperlite Matrix Alloy for added performance and better durability. We are out of stock in the 2014 S2.
Jake
My friend let me borrow his 2014 S2 and I loved the feeling of the swing. Will this new model be the same? owen
The 2014 uses THT100 Scandium Alloy while the 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) uses the new Hyperlite Matrix Alloy. Aside from the new alloy both bats will feel very similar in their swing profiles.
Jake
How does the SL15S210 compare to the JBB16S310? Baseball mom
The 2015 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL15S210) and the 2016 Easton S3 Junior Big Barrel Baseball Bat (JBB16S310B) are going to be bats used for two different levels of play. Both are going to feature alloy barrels but the S2 will be a two-piece bat featuring a composite handle (S3 is one-piece alloy). The S3 Junior Big Barrel will be used in coach pitch leagues as this bat has very thin barrel walls and will not hold up against pitches above 40 mph. The S2 Senior League is best used in kid's pitch leagues that will allow barrel diameter's of 2 5/8" or 2 3/4".

Is it legal for Intermediate (50/70)? bkoliver
The Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15S210 features an alloy barrel, 2 5/8" barrel diameter, and the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. These features make it legal for play in the Intermediate (50/70) league.
Jason
I just purchased one two weeks ago and the top of the bat broke. Do I have to return to Easton? big dog
End caps are going to be the most fragile part on a bat as this piece is nothing more than a piece of plastic (some bats are starting to feature a composite end cap design to help with balance and improve durability issues). When a ball is hit off the end there is a great chance that the end cap will pop off the bat or implode inwards. The Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15S210 does feature a 12 month manufacturer's warranty which would cover an end cap issue. These issues would be directed to the manufacturer for replacement.
Cameron
Is it alloy? brayden
The Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL15S210 is a two-piece hybrid model featuring an alloy barrel and composite handle.
