Pros: wicked explosion. even if they don't hit it solid. best composite on the market.
Cons: don't use in cold weather.
Marucci Hex Coach coach
Pros: Finally a bat that is true to sticker weight. 29/19 weighs exactly 19.02 ounces compared to our Mako Torq 29/19 that weighs in at 21.05 on the same scale. Barrel length similar to the Torq. Balanced swing. Awesome grip.
Cons: Like any other top of the line composite, you get what you pay for and is $$$
Amazing feel and pop!!! MichaelL parent
Pros: Big sweet spot, great grip, great pop, balanced feel. My son is a small kid. He has been swinging a 28/16. He can swing this bat because it is balanced and true to sticker weight. We've been swinging the new 915 Louisville and it doesn't compare to this bat.
Cons: None so far
R.George / Dixie youth coach R. George coach
Pros: This is one of the hottest bats on the market. My son is 8 and loves it. It has a large sweet spot and is very balanced. "Its crazy how the ball fly off this bat"!!!
Cons: None

Pros: My 10 yr old has always used the mako. we decided to try this bat and he is 100% satisfied! First game he used it, he hit a grand slam and the ball exploded off the bat! He said he didnt even feel it in his hands. Would definately reccomend.
Cons: So far, none
Very pleased Tim parent
Pros: Was having trouble finding the right bat in a 28/18 for my son. Tried the Mako but was too heavy. Found this bat and it weighs exactly what it is supposed to, 18 oz. Great bat so far. Good pop and no vibration. Swings light and even. This bat is expensive but still cheaper than the other top composite bats. I would buy this bat over any other out there currently.
Cons: None
Super Hot! Cracked...Twice. Mike Mehalshick parent
Pros: The Hex easily outperforms every other youth bat. My 90lb, 11 year-old hit his first home run with it and is batting .800. Ball jumps off the bat and sounds great. It is well-balanced and the grip is awesome. A hybrid design, think XL1 barrel on a Mako. My son has a Louisville 3 piece and the new Combat and it out-distances both.
Cons: First bat broke in second game of the year probably less than 200 hits overall. Cracked on two sides of the sweet spot. Marucci sent a replacement reccomended a 31 length. The new bat cracked during the second practice. However, he kept using it and hit a monster home run with it. Marucci will not replace the replacement bat.
my son loves this bat Tai parent
Pros: the best balanced bat my son has ever had - the pop is exceptional for a contact hitter and a power hitter. My son is 10 soon to be 11 and this bat in comparison to the S1 Easton and the deMarini CF6 is night and day- my son is more of a consistant hitter since he has been using the Marucci Hex - driving balls straight to he fence - Boom!
Cons: durability of paint - in very short period of time of owning and using the bat, paint started to crack and chip off and it gets worst the longer you use it - besides this the bat is awsome - Marucci fix this problem and you have a perfect bat
Mixed Bag Hoosier Daddy coach
Pros: This bat has great pop, equal to the other hot bats (Mako/CF7) and no vibration even on mis hits. Very balanced swing weight and only hot bat that comes in true to weight. 31/21 actually weighed at 20.9 oz.
Cons: Durability is terrible. Two boys on our team got these and they both cracked. Marucci sent two replacements and they cracked first night in 80 degree weather. Boys are both 11 yrs old around 100 lbs. The bat must be suited for smaller/younger kids, don't advise for top level/older youth hitters.
Breaks easily Owen player
Pros: Best pop and feel of any bat. Check swing gapper tells you how great the pop is.
Cons: Cracked in first practice. Two times. A bat breaking is normal but in 50 swings 2 huge cracks is not right.
It cracked twice Frank DeGenova parent
Pros: Extremely balanced Bat. Swings very light
Cons: Not durable at all. My son was excited to hit with this bat. Day 1 at BP he cracked it. I returned it, Day 3 the new one was cracked again. He's not a power hitter. He's yet to hit a HR for our team. He's a contact hitter and he's on the small side. There are kids on my team with 40 HRs that have been using their bats without issue. The fact that he cracked two of these bats is insane.
Great idea but poor construction Matt Hoppman parent
Pros: Hits great out of the box for a little bit
Cons: My son plays lots of baseball and the first time he used this in a game it hit real well and worked great. Well after a few months his hitting got worse and worse and we were concerned with what he was doing wrong. Well finally after a game the other night I thought I would check review and see what others are saying about this bat. I found a lot of issues with cracks in the bat. I went and looked and found a 10" crack in the barrel just before going to an All Star game. Well he used an older aluminum bat that he carries for warming up and used it and he slammed several balls into the outfield where the Marucci hard a hard time getting out of the infield. Yes I blame my self for not checking the bat sooner but he would have thought a $250 bat would crack so fast. Sending in for a replacement but getting something else as we dont have time to wait on warranty.
Awesome Bat!! Shelly parent
Pros: My 10 year old started last year with the Black2 and it was awesome! A lot his friends were getting Makos for All Stars, we got him one and it was way too heavy. His swing was suffering. I went out and got him the Hex. What a difference! The pop is amazing! He is hitting to the fence almost every time.
Cons: Non so far
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BAT!!! Edward parent
Pros: There are two factors that make a great bat performance and durability. This bat performs great, but it will not last very long. It has good pop. It is so balanced that it feels like it is not even there. It won't last long though
Cons: Durability issues!!!! Read the other comments you will see other people that purchased this bat saying the same thing. The first bat we received lasted one month before it cracked. The second one lasted two-three months before it cracked. If a bat does not last long enough the way it performs does not matter
Another cracked Marucci Hex Tutzilla parent
Pros: Grip Real advertised weight Perfect weight / swing Incredible Pop Nearly a perfect bat
Cons: After months of waiting for this bats price to drop I finally pull the trigger on a holiday sale and buy the bat for my son. Within the first hour in 80 degree weather the bat cracked during some soft toss throws to my 65lb. son. Completely disappointed with Marucci especially after now seeing all these reviews. Kudos for Marucci for almost reaching perfection but either their engineering team, poor materials or bad manufacturing ruined what could have been a Mako killer.
This bat has pop Eric parent
Pros: The bat feels really light and has incredible pop. my 9 year old son swings it with ease and loves it.
Cons: price is kind of high for a youth little league bat, but if it lasts for several years it is a no brainer. best bat so far I have seen for youth.
Do not waste your money Boyd Harris parent
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Poor bounce doesn't break in My son was hitting with a 30" Rawlings alloy bat and killing the ball. Our coaches felt he need to drop down a 29" bat to increase hit bat speed so we bought this for him last fall. I personally swung this bat 500 times against a swing away machine trying to break it in and still no improvement. my son does not hit well with it even though there is noticeable improvement in his bat speed. Also, his Rawlings bat is a 2-5/8 barrel and this one is 2-3/4. Very disappointed in this purchase.
NOT DURABLE Mr REB parent
Pros: Good pop. Good balance
Cons: First bat cracked after 2 months. Second bat cracked after one month.
