Pros: when i got my son this bat he hit 4 homers over the fence great bat !!!!
Cons: no cons/
Pros: Balanced. Great pop even right out of the package. Looks good. The grip is excellent. This will be my sons bat for pitching machine next year.
Cons: None so far
Pros: This bat has a big sweetspot only 1 inch less than the mako. But way lighter. If your son has a little problem getting the mako around this bat is for you. Pop is also just as good.
Cons: Price
Pros: UNBELIEVABLY HOT, WELL BALANCED AMAZING SWEET SPOT, RECOMMEND TO ALL,
Cons: PITCHERS BEWARE PRAY THEY DON'T HIT MIDDLE
Pros: NOTHINGH
Cons: EAston AND DEMARINI ARE SO MUCH BETTER
Pros: Great bat!!! Unbelievable pop!! Well balanced...
Cons: None
Pros: Huge sweet spot especially towards the handle. I have 29/17 which is measured accurately to 17 oz. Light swing weight. Excellent color/graphics...beautiful bat. Son had (3) doubles in the first two games with this bat. I will probably get the 30, 31 and 32 inch version of this bat in the future.
Cons: graphics chip easier than expected
Pros: Limited pros. Good grip, better balance and lighter weight than other comparable composites.
Cons: Very disappointed with this bat. Just not nearly as solid as better known composites. Although the sweet spot appears longer, it is not as forgiving as others. Especially when hit out on the end, balls barely come off the bat. Also not sure why all the positive reviews -- there is just no comparison between this bat and others.
Pros: Lots of pop! Huge sweet spot and light weight!
Cons: Price
Pros: The balls come off the bat very fast. Great pop my son is seven and bring he is bat around great. This will be replacing Demarine two piece as his primary bat. Combat very pleased!!
Cons: none
Pros: Hot bat! ball comes off very well with great pop. bought to replace a two piece demarine not disaponted!!!!
Cons: none
Pros: Light swing weight, balanced bat and nice colors and cool grip. My 9 year old likes the bat.
Cons: Composite material is not as solid as previous combat bats. This composite material needs to have end-loaded presence for ultimate performance. Sorry combat, the performance does not match Easton's Mako XL or Mako youth baseball bats.
Pros: Balance, swing speed, barrel length and overall feel of the bat is amazing. The Lizard Skinz grip is a nice addition. Other than that..... BOOOO :(
Cons: For being a $279 bat, this thing sucks! From the time we took the wrapper off of it and sent it through the proper break-in process with tees, soft toss and then live hitting until nowa, half way through our season, this bat has been a HUGE disappointment. It has ZERO pop, and like the other review mentioned, if you hit it off the end of the bat (last inch or so), the ball barely gets out in front of the plate. Even solid, square hits barely make it out of the infield. Switched to a CF7 on Monday and the first 5 balls my son hit landed 20+ feet deep into the outfield grass. Two words.... VERY DISAPPOINTED
Pros: great bat had good pop out of the box. got even better after we broke it in. my son is 7 so was one of the only bats to choose from in 27"
Cons: none so far.
Pros: looks good
Cons: very little pop, bad vibration. have bought alot combat but i will stay away now on. i have been try to break this bat in for a year for my son and still has very little pop. maybe just got a dud but alot money to spend on bat that has very little pop.
Pros: Large sweet spot balanced good pop
Cons: break in period don't want to share it with other kids :)
Pros: Great pop
Cons: None so far
Pros: -The weight is right on, not 2-3 Oz heavier than stated like the 2 Mako bats we have -The swing weight is really light -The barrel is super long so the sweet spot is huge -Sounds real solid -The big barrel version of this bat my son uses has been great too for almost a year
Cons: -None yet since I got it at a great price
Pros: My 6 year old is in farm, and has 5 very good bats. We just got the the Maxum 28" 16oz. drop12 A few days before that we got a Easton Maxum CXN 28"17oz. drop11. so he put them to work in a head to head. Other bats:Worth Copperhead 28"18oz. drop10. Easton S50 27" 17 oz. drop 10 , Louisville Slugger Ash 28" very very heavy. We started on a T then took pitches, for a total of 200+ he hit alot of balls switching bats every 20 or so. The Mako seems heavy far more than the stated 1 oz. difference and not as evenly weighted(end heavy). he had alot of foul balls when hit near the end of the Mako and it was hard for him to make adjustments in his swing to meet the ball. The combat seems far lighter and was easy for him to adjust to a dropping pitch and when hit near the end of the bat the ball still didn't foul out. the Maxum dose not make the same pop sound as the Mako and it doesn't seem as loud but when both are hit in the sweet spot (generous in both bats) the Maxum out hit the Mako
Cons: NONE! My son says the Combat Maxum is his new game bat. It gives him more line drives at further distance and so far no foul balls.
Pros: Feels good, hits far, weight distributed evenly, does not vibrate
Cons: Price
Pros: lightest bat on the market = bat speed my kid has success with it he also has a voodoo that' he uses to practice with but at game time ITS THE GREEN COMBAT.
Cons: none
Pros: Balanced though out the swing. No sting when hit off the end or near the hands. Lizard skin grip is nice.
Cons: everyone wants to us the bat now
Pros: nice sweet spot
Cons: no cons yet
Pros: Great bat for small kids
Cons: none
Pros: Just got a 30"-180z, 2016 COMBAT MAXUM -12 Youth Baseball Bat: MAXYB112 for my son. My son is 11 and small for his age, only 4'-7" and 75 lb. I was looking for a bat that was well balanced but would add some "pop" to his hits. He's old bat was a 30"-17oz bat and the new Combat feels as light as the old bat due to the Combat's balance. I'm sure the bat still needs some breaking in but I can already tell that this bat has more "pop" than his old one. I can't comment on it's durability yet but based on other Combat reviews I assume that durability won't be an issue.
Cons: None yet
Pros: NONE
Cons: DOESNT HIT LIKE COMPOSITE BAT.....ZERO POP.......MY 8 YEAR OLD SON WAS CRUSHING WITH AN EASTON S300 ALUMINUM THAN HE TRIED THIS AND CANT HIT OUT OF THE INFIED.......GOING TO TRY A MAKO AS THAT IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE INITIALLY BOUGHT INSTEAD OF THIS
Pros: In a world of Sabermetrics and all those algorithms being applied, I found this bat measured out the highest bat speed and batted ball exit speed. What does that mean? I had my son try out every bat and had it analyzed using big league technology of impact, radar, in a controlled environment with his hitting instructor and a computer for input. After all the Easton, DeMarini, Louisville Slugger, Axe, and Combat bats...The Maxum scored the highest with Mako the lowest. My 9 year old 55lbs son had a more controlled balanced swing and drove the ball further with the Combat Maxum -12 than any other bat he tried out. There was a noticeable difference and it "wowed" everyone there. After hitting with the Combat he said "This is the one." At practice the coaches were surprised at how much he's able to drive the ball. Regardless of what anyone tells you, the bat makes all the difference in the world.
Cons: My son is a practice rat and will hit 100 balls off the Tee after 150 soft toss and then hit with live pitching. With that said, his first 28/16 -12 cracked near the neck. Once it crack, it sounded terrible and lost all it's pop. My son insisted on the same bat as a replacement which Justbats.com replaced without hesitation.
Pros: Price. My son loves the look and feel. Great balance. It feels lighter than last years bat but it's 2 oz heavier.
Cons: None so far. My son has only used it twice at hitting lessons.
Pros: light weight, pop. My 7 year old has a 27/15 and has been hitting lasers with it. Well worth the money... The bat is hot out of the box.
Cons: None.
Pros: My son is 6 playing up in the Pinto division 7-8 yr olds and It took only a few games for the word around the league to watch for the kid with the green Combat. My son 48" 56lbs finished summer and fall ball with a combined .986 average and batted 3rd all season long with a 28/16. We are in an AAAAAA school district so the talent is pretty deep so you need every advantage you can. Spring ball was Shetland league and he used the Combat PG4 with the softer baseballs but as soon as we started with the harder baseballs he was complaining about bat sting. Tried the Mako's and the Voodoo and some Demarini's but the Maxum he gets the fastest hand speed and the exit velocity is just incredible for a kid his size. Get used to hearing the other coaches say "Outfield BACKUP" when your using the Maxum.
Cons: Takes about 300 balls to break in but you will see the exit velocity jump up.
Pros: Great bat! has great pop! son hit 4 homers in 5 games. Love this bat!
Cons: none
Pros: Got this bat for my son for christmas and he loves it!
Cons: No cons
Pros: price .. but when goes from 249 to 59 theres a big problem with this bat
Cons: no pop dont believe the hype
Pros: My boy who is 10 used and loved his mako..but after half a season the bat lost its pop..found this combat and gave it a try. when received it to the house couldn't believe how light it was and tried it out and after only 10 hits I was amazed at bat speed and how the ball was popping off the bat.I highly recommend this bat ...those lazy ground balls that are hit will turn into base hits for sure
Cons: just received it...nothing yet...durability will be key
