Went back to what works! Softball Dad parent
Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper. My daughter went from a CF5 to a Mako last Spring because she out grew the CF5. Big mistake! Went back to DeMarini this Sping with the CF8. Just played first tournament this weekend and couldn't be happier! CF8 -10 had great pop right away in 40 deg temps! Can't wait until weather warms up and she gets a few weeks worth of hits to get the CF8 broken in! Never leaving Demarini again!
Cons: None so far.
DeMarini CF8 Troy parent
Pros: Love the bat. My daughter dominated the tourney. Everyone wanted her bat. Great pop and a super comfortable grip. She just missed two home runs on Saturday, getting a triple and a double respectively and then on Sunday with a 3-2 count she blasted one over the fence in right center. Gone as soon as she hit it! Probably went 225-235ft. Not bad for a 13yr old. She's not a giant kid like some of these gals you see either. Just a kid with a great bat and incredible bat speed. I hope this bat is more durable then the CF 6.
Cons: None so far
Buy this bat! Johnson player
Pros: I'm in high school, just got the bat and I never used this bat before my first game. My first at bat in my first game I cranked it over the fence. It's a lot of money for a bat but it's definitely worth it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new bat. The Demarini's never fail to amaze me, but this one is the best I've ever gotten. Looking forward to some more great hits this season!
Cons: The price. But worth it! :)
Awesome bat! M Smith parent
Pros: My daughter loves this bat!
Cons: none
A little Different Ken parent
Pros: Great Pop, however if you are moving from a CF6 or a CF7, it may feel a little different. I read that the composite is a little different than the 6 and 7 but no less lethal. After my daughter finally hit a few out in BP with it, then she started trusting it instead of going back to her trusty CF6 or CF7.
Cons: None at all
Love this bat! S.A. parent
Pros: My daughter received the CF8 yesterday, ran home after school to pick it up before her varsity game. Her first at bat she hit it over the fence! She went 3 for 4 yesterday, all great hits. This bat has pop! She has only ever used Easton, but is now loving her new DeMarini.
Cons: A little spendy, but it if lasts two seasons I am fine with the price.
Diamond Smash house diamond player
Pros: this is my fifth demarni bat and they only get better for power and bat speed
Cons: None
awesome bat kelsey caladie player
Pros: this bat will help you with confidence. I have had very little confidence in the past but this bad has help me a lot. I really recomened this bat! And for durability I have not found any problems yet. I play on 3 teams and I am busy 24/7 but this bat holds up. I will never regret buying it!
Cons: None!!
Great Bat happy softball dad parent
Pros: I have bought my daughter the cf5,6,7 and now the cf8. In my opinion of my daughter hit. This might be the best bat so far dont get me wrong we have no complaints she used the cf6 more than the cf7 but since she has got the cf8 i see harder hit balls. She said it just feels right so i take her word for it because she is the person that has to stand in the box.
Cons: None
CF8 Durability Pete parent
Pros: My daughter loved the way it felt and hit very well with it.
Cons: My daughter is a 12u player on a very highly skilled team. She has owned many bats including a CF4, CF5, CF6 and just recently we bought the CF8 -11. That bat along with several of her team mate's -11 bats cracked within weeks of getting them. One bat was purchased from DeMarini at a tournament and it cracked about an hour later. Demarini was very good about replacing our bat under warranty. We changed to a -10 to hopefully have a little bit stronger bat. Unfortunately, the -10 cracked the first weekend it was used. Not sure what we are going to do now.
CF8 Ball mom parent
Pros: We bought this for our 9 yr old daughter and she loves her new bat! At a week old thebat is"hot" and the girls are make awesome hits with it! Would buy this bat over and over!! we play ball 10 months out of the year so it is worth the money.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this product!
CF8 Miranda Smith player
Pros: Amazing Pop right out of the wrapper. 2 HR's in 3 games. Multiple Doubles now. Large Sweet spot
Cons: Weight is a little heavier, so be careful to select the right weight.
Great bat!! softball mom parent
Pros: balls just fly off this bat
Cons: price
great bat Bayhockey parent
Pros: Little to no break in period . Both 12u (32" -10) and 16u(33" -10) daughters swing and love this bat . Have had CF4-CF8 and this is by far the best
Cons: $700
daughter plum player
Pros: my daughter switched from a louisville slugger zeno 31inch 21oz. she liked that bat alot. so she grew a little and is going into high school this fall. so i got her the new demarini cf8 dxcfp (not the insane) 32inch 22oz . she played in a couple tournaments and has 5 line drives off left center fence. loves this bat. never hit a home run but i think one is coming
Cons: nothing
2016 louisville lxt mike lascala parent
Pros: none
Cons: first it started with the ordering i had pick overnight delivery on a friday to have it saturday for my daughters tourney and never showed justbats said it got lost then we get it monday bat has little pop not like 2014 or 15 a month later bat breaks now louisville is telling me i have to wait 2 months for replacement because bat is on back order i recommend you purchase a cf8 its a good quality bat
great bats Taylor player
Pros: I got to test this bat out at one of my practices and as soon as i start to get the feel of it one goes over the fence! that was my first time doing that and it was just awesome. the bat has great pop to it and in my opinion was the best bat i have used.
Cons: the price, but worth it:)
Broken Bat Chad Hammon parent
Pros: Bat had ok Pop out of the wrapper but not on par with the Boombah Tsunami.
Cons: Broke within a month of use. Bat also seemed heavier than listed weight.
First Comp Bat Tim Kasden coach
Pros: it lights up my daughters hitting to an all new level. I am a parent Coach and this is the first Composition bat I have invested in for my daughter. Her hitting has reached an all new level simply by upgrading her bat!
Cons: none
Now Hit With Confidence Jessica player
Pros: The CF8 is a composite bat that has "the strength of aluminum and the performance of wood" (shown in advertisement). This material is made to send the ball exploding off this bat. When you hit the ball the sound is a "pop" which makes you feel great about every hit and you feel like a pro every time. As soon as I got this bat I hit rockets to centerfield. Therefore it doesn't take long to break this bat in. I have not had any problems with the durability. I have two of the DeMarini bats, the CF8 and the CF5. The CF5 was my first composite bat. I instantly fell in love with this bat because of the feeling and the pop. Sadly this bat became too small for me so I purchased the Louisville Slugger LXT (1st one) but I found the DeMarini lets me crush in confidence. The Louisville has good sound but the bat does not let the ball explode off the bat. The CF8 Demarini has a "sweet spot that extends further along the barrel than ever" (DeMarini website) making the ball pop off this bat,
Cons: my cons are the same with any other composite bat.
cf8 Justin player
Pros: Awesome bat. Bought this bat for my daughter twice in two diffrent lengths and weights. Hit her first home run over the fence with the bat. Has great pop and has been reliable so far. Would recommend this bat to anyone who wants to hit the ball hard.
Cons: The price.
Ehh M player
Pros: It's a pretty bat..
Cons: I'm 17 and have played varsity since freshman year and on travel teams since 10u. I have had DeMarini for a while. I had the CF5 which I hit 5 home runs with my freshman year. I got the CF8 almost a year ago and it just is not what I was hoping for. I wanted to love it and I was so excited to get it. I don't know if I just got a defective bat or it is actually not a good one, but there is no pop and no matter how hard I swing, it just is not a great hit. I have hit it to the fence a few times, but for the type of hitter I am, it shouldn't be that way. I have been using my friend's xeno more and more, and the amount of pop on that completely trumps the CF8. I was so looking forward to this bat but it just isn't the one for the upper level softball players.
Awesome Bat Debo parent
Pros: Weight is distributed great Great feel Drop -10 is definitely the bat to get
Cons: None

HI

RCHS
Pros: Love the feel of this bat
Cons: Not sure it its a defect with this years model or what! One of my players bought it and broke a month later, then my SS bought it and broke in half in 2 days!
Community bat Travis coach
Pros: The manager of our team bought the CF8 for his daughter and about 70% of our girls use it. We have seen a HUGE improvement overall since they began swinging this bat. It literally turns average hitters into power hitters. By far the most "pop" I have ever seen from a bat since I began coaching and the confidence level of our team has sky rocketed!!! Absolutely the best bat on the market for fastpitch softball!!
Cons: Absolutely none!
Anonymous
Pros: Great pop. My daughter has crushed the ball since getting the bat.
Cons: Within a month she has cracked one and shattered the replacement 3 weeks later. She. Is 10 yrs old and less than 100 pound. There has to be a design flaw with the bat. There should be no way for a 10u player to destroy a bat twice that cost you $350.
Good bat ShyDog parent
Pros: Balance. Same as CF7.
Cons: No more pop than the CF7
Best Bat So Far Keith C. parent
Pros: The CF8 has turned out to be a great purchase for my 14U daughter. Bat has GREAT pop right out of the wrapper & is very balanced. She love her Easton Stealth, but is now BIG Demarini fan. Highly recommend this product!
Cons: None
Softball Mom
Pros: It first started out great my daughter loved how it felt and the balls were coming off the bat great. She's 12 and it cracked within the 3 months of us purchasing it, but they replaced it under warranty.
Cons: Waited two weeks to get the replacement and she was using it to hit off the tee at practice, that same day her first pitch in the game the end popped out and landed at 1st base. Not pleased with the quality it is, never had issues with the other bats they have put out.
Great Bat Happy Father parent
Pros: This bat came out of the wrapper hot. No break in time needed. 1st DeMarini bat for my daughters and I can't imagine them using anything else in the future. Also, ordered the bat on a Friday night around 8 PM. Got it overnighted to us and the bat arrived at our house at 10 AM Saturday morning.
Cons: None so far
good bat KG player
Pros: Good pop and i need that being 4th on the line up.. i have had cf5 cf6 cf7 and cf8 the five or the six was my fav but this is a good bat.
Cons:
Worst CF we've had Mark Struve parent
Pros: Still has pop off sweet spot
Cons: Broke in half, literally was only used in games for two months, not BP or practice. Factory return process is slow and arduous for a $350 price point. May consider Easton after this.

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
