Description
TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO XL's massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This innovative material comprises both the barrel and handle which are united by Easton's patented 2-PC ConneXion Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with the connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. That foundation is then combined with a higher Swing Weight Index for a perfectly-powerful end loaded swing weight.
The MAKO XL features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -3 length to weight ratio, new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip, and is BBCOR Certified for High School and Collegiate Play. 2016 Mako XL1 stays true to itself Austin player
Pros: The bat has a huge sweet stop, good top end weight and serious pop. Vibration is very minimal. 2016 does a good job keeping the XL1 tradition alive.
Cons: Price is extremely high, if your willing to pay for the best
Best bat i've ever used Jason K player
Pros: I'm in high school and got this bat less than a week ago and it is amazing the balls fly off the bat and has nothing bad to it that I have noticed.
Cons: The price is a lot and is questionable for a bat but I don't regret it.
Overrated Richard D player
Pros: Paint Job
Cons: Too Expensive and not as good as many other BBCOR's I have used. I sold mine
Great bat for JV facing slow pitching Nathan player
Pros: Great sweet spot, very responsive bat. You can feel when you hit the sweet spot. Overall just a great bat.
Cons: The grip tape hurt my hands in the begging of the life of the bat. I also am not huge fan of the wood sound the bat gives off.
amazing bmdc220 player
Pros: i have last years model of the XL1 and this is basically the same thing and i can hit the ball righy around 400 feet and im 15. its a very good bat
Cons: none
Awesome bat Dylan player
Pros: Amazing pop
Cons: None
Broke josh player
Pros: looks good, feels good, hit bombs in first few weeks,
Cons: the bat broke in no time, the middle part connecting handle and barrel where rubber is placed over, completely cracked and the bat feels not connected and is absoultely dead now.
iv had better mike player
Pros: the bat can drive the ball a long ways and is very light swinging
Cons: harsh vibration. hard to stay short and compact swing with this bat. grip rips and becomes crusty. i recomend demarini voodoo raw and marucci elite
great bat Jimmy player
Pros: I have this bat in a -3 32 29. amazing pop and it feels almost like a skinny barrel pop with the mass of a bbcor. i actually bought the s2 which broke a total of three times so teybgave me this bat forfree, which i love.
Cons: pricey. also, at times the pop wont sound as good as it normally does which is a little strange, but the quality of the hit doesnt change.
love the feel of this bat Richie J player
Pros: lots of pop right out of the wrapper. played in gateway grizzleys stadium and first at bat line drive 400 ft triple right at bottom of centerfield wall.. fell in love instantly. great sound to the bat as well. cant wait til its fully broken in
Cons: There are none. ive played competitive ball my whole life. trust me when i say you will love this bat
High School Senior Loves It Sam Sprockett player
Pros: Well-balanced for an end loaded bat. Feels good to swing.
Cons: None
Best bat I ever had and I am not in high school Noah Brite player
Pros: It will give a lot power when you swing it. And great power to the gaps.
Cons: The price needs to go down a little.
handle Jesse Crawford parent
Pros: Great pop, End loaded. Noticeable difference
Cons: used for only three weeks and the grip started coming undone. called in to find out about warranty and this is a non covered item. if my son were young I could say yes it might be abuse or his grip but he plays high school has three different bats and this is the only one that this is happening to and it's barley used. I was told to contact Easton for grip replacement tape. just not the same as done in factory. with the performance of the bat it's great but in every product you can expect 2% failure. We fell into the 2%. I really want to purchase the Easton Beast 2017 for him, but definitely don't want to fall into another situation where they don't stand behind their product
Mako XL Elijah player

Cons: 2018,,easton has not made an end loaded bat
Best bat ever panda player
Pros: great pop
Cons: none
