Comfort, great feel and power Cardsfankyle parent
Pros: My son is not a power hitter, so it is hard to rate the overall pop, but his hits appear harder. Best part of the bat is the feel, balance and no vibration so far. He really feels comfortable at the plate with the bat.
Cons: Not sure of durability. Great customer service, we had the older version of a discontinued model that cracked quickly. LS replaced the 2013 model with this brand new 2016 model under warranty. (We bought the 2013 on clearance) Assuming since they changed the model, better reliability, but only time will tell.
Mrrrrr pop Baker Seegers player
Pros: Been using aluminum bats until I got this bat I hit farther and great for select
Cons: Sweet bat
good bat ryanMentkowski coach
Pros: good pop huge barrel
Cons: maybe a little heavy for my 9 year old
Louisville Slugger 916 Matt parent
Pros: The bat has only been used in a few games, but seems to have a lot of pop right out of the box. great feel especially with the Lizard Skin handle the bat comes with.
Cons: The only negative so far is that the paint chipped off the knob of the bat after it was dropped from about 1ft off a bleacher seat onto the ground. I used a little touch up paint to cover the spot and now its almost good as new.

Cons: 1. Small barrel length
money well spent! Arose parent
Pros: This bat is a top shelf performer! Everything we wanted in a bat we found in this one. We researched them all and decided on this one. Serious pop, great swing weight, no vibration. Durability is great, this bat has seen about 30 games and countless cage sessions plus camps with no problems at all except minor paint chipping on knob. There are always a small number of bats that dominate the youth big barrel space for performance, the 916 is one of them.
Cons: none
amazing bat!!! Eli Evans player
Pros: pop, feel
Cons: none
Really solid bat!! Daryl Morris parent
Pros: Bat has incredible pop. Bought for my 11 year old. He has more of a power swing and I was a little hesitant to buy this versus like a Demarini VooDoo. But we are really happy with the purchase.
Cons: Takes a good amount of swing to get broke in. My son has put about 100 swings on this bat so far and still feels like it has more to go before its at its full potential.
Don't buy this bat Tmm parent
Pros: None
Cons: Handle immediately came loose the warranty voucher system is terrible
Buy something else jason parent
Pros: no vibration looks great
Cons: Once you hit hard with it, the barrel comes loose and you can move it with your bare hand. The effect is to deaden contact similarly to a loosely held, overly light bat. Before the loosening happens, the bat swings okay and hits decent. Once the barrel is loose, the bat flexes and drags through the swing sort of like a boat anchor with similar feel. My son has gone from the strongest batter on the team last year to one of the worst this year. We tried everything to fix it, but he put huge dents in his bat from last year, so we relied on this bat. Finally, he switched back to his bat from two years ago and hit twice in his only two times at the place since. One was a home run. In practice, he is killing everything now. I have never seen a piece of equipment have this much effect on a player in any sport.

I just bought the bat and the lizard skin grip slips. I re-wrapped it and noticed that the black rubber end towards the handle moves. About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
