Description

Fans of the Z-2000 line will fall in love with the feel and performance that the new Louisville Slugger Super Z Slow Pitch bat provides; swing after swing. These 100% Composite Designs are tuned to max performance within each organization it is certified for. The Super Z utilizes S1iD Technology that allows the barrel to flex to its maximum allowable performance level from SWING 1! Two inner discs are positioned inside the barrel at the sweet spot to stop the barrel from from flexing past the legal limit. For players, this means they really do get MAXIMUM performance allowable and a larger performing sweet spot. New to the Super Z models, the iST Xs Technology creates an even stiffer bond between the barrel and handle of this two-piece bat. A stiffer flex means that more of the energy you create is transferred to the ball on contact. With an end loaded swing weight, this SBSZ16A-E is perfect for the player seeking maximum mass in the barrel for extreme distance. This Louisville Slugger Super Z End Load ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SBSZ16A-E is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. Each Super Z slow pitch bat is also backed by a Full (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Super Z Jimmy. (PGH) player

Pros: Feels great on the hands. Great grip, end load does not change swing. Rough finish clearly helps bat's "grip and grab" on the ball. Could definitely feel the pop increasing as the first day of use progressed.

Cons: Not as much pop out of the rapper as expected, but seemed to get better quickly.

Great Replacement for the Z2000 Slevin Kelevra player

Pros: Bought this bat to replace my old Z2000. The grip has been improved and I hope the new, rougher coating will be more durable than the old Z2000. The bat was not as hot as the z2000 out of the wrapper and took a little while to break in. I only use the bat in games and it took about 9 or 10 games (35-45 hits) before it started getting hot. This is not too bad really and didn't bother me personally. If you were a fan of the Z2000, I would highly recommend this purchase.

Cons: Short break in period may be an issue for some. I have small concerns with the plastic end of the bat, but I think it is because the texture changes on the barrel making it feel less durable. I have no real reason to believe this and think it is just a perception due to the change in texture.

Nice bat, not completely sold yet. Alex player

Pros: I own the bat, I love the way it feels, nice solid feel. It swings very nicely. Have sent a couple of bombs out so far.

Cons: I have an issue with the whole Hot Out The Wrapper claims I keep hearing. This bat actually requires a break in. At first I was getting discouraged, but as this bat starts to come to life it really can damage a ball. I am 5'8 185lbs. and I sent one 375 yards the other night. When it warms up and hit the sweet spot it is a legitimate bat and is worth the money. I am still in a break in process and I will say I am beginning to love this bat. I am an honest person, so far this bat is worth the investment. I will say my Worth bats seemed to be a little more hot out of the wrapper, but I like where this bat is headed if it keeps improving. As with any bat you have to become accustomed to the feel and differences so as the bat improves my technique with it improves.

Major Durability Issues Tristin Simons player

Pros: The bat has an excellent look to it, and I enjoyed the overall feel of the bat when making clean contact.

Cons: My first Super Z developed a rattle in it about four weeks into the season last year. Understanding that these things happen with bats I called in my warranty and received a new bat within a month. However about twenty five or so swings in on this new bat the cap has begun to come off. I am the only one using the bat and make sure to take excellent care of it. I have never had issues like this with any bat before, so to go through two bats in the course of a couple of months is just absurd to me. I am usually a Miken fan and think I will be switching back to Miken after this.

I hate to ask such a broad question but what are around 2 to 3 bats for ASA that you believe are going to be hot this year? I have used the Miken Freak Black and Louisville Super Z. Both are super nice. I am just trying a bat I want to buy. Bo
Currently, our most popular ASA slow pitch models would be the 2016 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (ULTALL), 2015 DeMarini Flipper Aftermath ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXFLS), and the 2016 Miken Freak 52 SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (52FKMA).

The biggest difference you will see between this 2016 Louisville Slugger Super Z End Load ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SBSZ16A-E) and the Super Z model is the composite technologies on the bats (Pure 360 on this Z-4000 and S1iD on the Super Z). About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
