Given the nature of wood bats, if they are hit in certain areas of the bat they can break really at any time. The bats are weakest at the handle area below the taper or when hit off of the very end of the bat. Unlike alloy or composite bats, it is not that the bat will deteriorate over an extended period but that it will break if hit on the weaker spots possibly even once. Given this tendency and characteristic of wood bats, they do not come with a warranty except for a very select few models. Unfortunately, this 2016 Pioneer Maple Wood Baseball Bat (CTH280) is not a model that features such a warranty.

Unfortunately, on the 2016 Pioneer Maple Wood Baseball Bat (CTH280) the size of the handle is not given to us here at JustBats. Pioneer does mention that it is a balanced bat and typically balanced bats have thicker handles. The barrel on this bat would be a 2 1/2 inch barrel, which is normal for most wood baseball bats.
