2017 Axe Origin 27 Jason Riggio coach

Pros: My son went from a 27' 17 oz Easton S2 to the Axe Origin. I have a smaller 11 year old who plays a lot of baseball but lacks power based on his size. He switched to the Axe Origin this weekend and immediately saw increased pop. The Axe handle and top loaded head really allowed for increased bat speed and more pwer. My son loves the handle and how it fits in his hands. Highly recommend this bat. Can't be the price.

Pros: My son leads his 8U team in home runs, including one that went off the scoreboard, and he's not even the biggest kid on the team. He just gets incredible, consistent pop with this Axe bat. I really like how the handle reinforces palm-up/palm-down. He never complains about vibration or stinging.

Cons: I'm not sure how long that plastic HyperWhip cap is going to last. So far it's fine, but I hold my breath every time the ball goes off the end of the bat.

(1) This 2017 AXE Origin -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (L144E), the DeMarini (DXINZ) and the Easton (SL15S310B) will all be one-piece, all-alloy bats with balanced swing weights. However, the DeMarini and Easton bats will have a 2 3/4" barrel diameter, while this AXE Origin has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. (2) Neither bat will really have an inherent advantage in regard to durability, but some people believe 2 5/8" bats feature better durability. (3) An AXE handle provides a more ergonomic grip on the bat that is more comfortable for a player's hand to hold in the swinging position.

What is one sided hitting barrel? bull

Due to the nature of the of the AXE Baseball bats you are only going to hit on one side of the bat. Because of this AXE designs their bats to have a One-Sided Hitting barrel that is stronger than the other side since you will only be hitting on one side.
