My 10 year old swings 29/19 and loves it Rocky coach
Pros: My 10 year old swings this and loves it. He plays travel ball and the whole team really limes it. After you break it in, which we did in a few days with about 500 cuts, the ball comes off the bat really hard. With any composite bat you have to give it time to break in. It actually broke in a lot quicker than i thought. We went to the field and hit there and then hit balls off of a tee into the net in the backyard. Really good balanced bat for my little man. Another plus for me and especially him is that he hasnt complained once that his hands were stinging when he mis-hit the ball. That is a great thing for these young kids. I read reviews all the time and I hope this one helps you.
Cons: None at this time.
Great bat Joe player
Pros: It has great grip, probably the best grip I have ever felt. It feels good when swing it. Also has some nice pop.
Cons: None
10U 30/20 10usocal parent
Pros: Beautiful Bat... Came from a demarini cf6, Son freaked our when he saw it come out of the package. Sounds great coming off bat. Super long barrel, after 250 or so swings, the ball comes off dangerously fast, genuinely scary; ducking behind L-Screen quickly. The confidence he has at the plate is well worth it. Great value overall, I think a few more will go over this year... socal travel baseball worthy! :)
Cons: Barrel is white, balls leave marks and gets dirty quick
My 9 year old loves it cd parent
Pros: He is using the 29/19. We've had the 2014 Easton Mako and XL, the Combat Maxum 2016 and he has used a lot the DeMarini CF Zen 2016 from friends in the team. He says this the best bat. He loves the pop. I can tell he hits way harder than anything he has used before.
Cons: Had to gamble on it because nobody had it on the team, but it paid off.
wont buy any other brand MP parent
Pros: amazing bat. my son loves it. hes 8 and does traveling team and this brand was reccomended by his coach. ive never used this kind so i was skeptical but it is the best quality bat out there. perfrct grip, perfect size (28in 18oz for him) no sting.
Cons: none
8 year old loves bat! Eric C parent
Pros: This bat has great pop right out of the wrapper! It is holding up well and my son is loving the balanced swing with no sting! He went from the 2016 Combat Maxum to this bat and says this is the best bat he has ever used with a very comfortable grip.
Cons: None so far!
Cheater bat of 2017!!! D smith player
Pros: Kid is 5'5' 115 lbs got a 31/21, coming from a composite aluminum bat. This bat increased his power by 50 feet! True balanced weight for the medium size kid and great "pinggg" sound for feedback. The more hits equal more trampoline effect.
Cons: Grip doesn't last long, replaced it with vulcan grips.
Hex 2017 review Chace coach
Pros: This bat took about 300 to 400 swings to get broke in then ka-pow!
Cons: No bad things as of yet
Nice bat Lucky to Coach coach
Pros: No vibration, huge barrel and great balance.
Cons: Nice bat but going from the Zen to this the performance is lower. Have been told it needs 300 to 400 swings to break in? we are probably at about 250 but I hope it improves, paint chips easily but hey its a bat I don't care much about looks but after 2 weeks it looks much older already
Great Bat!!! Matt parent
Pros: Balance+Pop=Confidence My son (10 years old) is a travel ball player. He has used Easton and Louisville bats in the past and all of them have their strengths. However, my son never really LOVED them. This spring his coach recommended the Marucci brand to us, he tried it and the rest is history. There have been NO issues with durability so far (12 games & 20+ practices) and the break in period was easy. For my son, the pop is better than the MAKO and feel is superior to the Louisville. If you are looking for a great bat, this is it.
Cons: Everyone will want to borrow it...
My 10 year old loves it!! Martin parent
Pros: A lot of pop! His first hit with this bat was by far the farthest he's hit a ball this year. He was previously using the Easton Mako Beast and wasn't getting a ton of pop out of it. My son loves it!! Seems to have more pop with every hit
Cons: Takes a while to break in, but we did it in about 2 hours over 2 days.
Awesome Bat!!!! Brian parent
Pros: My 11 year old son plays select baseball and was not happy with the new Easton Mako Beast so we made a mid-season switch. The Hex Connect is a GREAT bat (bought the 29/19). Amazing pop. Very balanced. Broke in quickly after 500 swings. Ball shoots off the barrel more consistently than the Mako Beast. My son is SO much more confident at the plate now. Thanks Marucci!
Cons: Absolutely none!
odd Danny Boy coach
Pros: great feel and pop
Cons: used the bat in our practice tonight for the first time(peewee major) and after about 200 swings the bat has a 9" split on the barrel????
Just awesome Yee player
Pros: No words. Anything a bat would need.
Cons: Bat tape comes off. Not a huge problem.
good overall bat, just not as balanced as demarini squeaks parent
Pros: good durability, reapectable pop after broke in
Cons: little more end loaded than i like
look no more get this bat coach coach
Pros: I bought this for my son he is 10 and we purchased the 29/19 ounce 2 3/4 barrel. My son has the DeMarini Zen, Easton Mako beast and combat vigor he picks up this bat every time when he hits as well as half of his team he says it does not sting his hands at all and he likes the way it feels better then all of the other bats. This bat has pop and it is well balanced it also broke in easily , my suggestion after buying all of the name brand top bats out on the market is to buy this one!
Cons: none
