Description

The new Anderson Ignite fastpitch bat features a complete redesign of Anderson's popular single wall alloy technology. The Ignite is designed to maximize Anderson's all-metal alloy, with a shape that optimizes the player's swing. This new alloy has a greater yield value and added strength that allows a lighter, more responsive, and larger Effective Hitting Area (EHA). Reducing the weight in the EHA, while maintaining the strength necessary to withstand impact, allows for greater design versatility including a significantly reduced Moment of Inertia (MOI). Optimizing the MOI makes it possible for players to swing the bat faster, with less effort. The Ignite is topped off with a TrueFlex End Cap that is designed to increase barrel strength and aid in vibration managment. Also helping eliminate annoying vibrations is the TaperFlex Contour which uses a proprietary combination of design mapping and wall-thickness tuning to prevent energy from escaping the barrel. Furthermore, an SG-I Sport Grip absorbs any stray shockwaves that might make it down to the ultra-thin whip handle. All of this technology is used to efficiently manage energy transfer and produce the most explosive hits for fastpitch players! Anderson: Manufactured With Pride in the U.S.A.! The Ignite is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat was hot right out of the wrapper. My 11 year old daughter has become more of a power hitter with this bat. Before this bat it was a single everytime, now she's always on third.. I would recommend this bat for the young ladies out there that need a little more pop in their swing.. Also I would like to add that the bat is slightly end loaded...

Cons: Paint chips easily, but it doesn't effect the distance and pop one bit....

Pros: This bat is amazing! I got it on the night of our first game and everybody used it! I have a 2010 Rocketech which is awesome and needed something just a little bit lighter and the Ignite is just what I needed! I am definately going to recommend it to others!!!

Solid lightweight bat Softball dad parent

Pros: Both my girls love this bat. Light weight but has good pop to it right out of the box. My girls are not very big, but this bat has given them much more bat speed and more solid hits versus other -11 bats. This probably is not a power hitters type bat but is great for those single and double hitters.

Cons: None yet.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat: IFP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I want to know which Anderson bat is built for the best performance, I need a comparison between the ignite FP bat and the Rocket tech bat, and whitch Anderson bat is just flat out better than the Worth 454, if you can provide me with all the information I need, I will buy the better bat. Rick
By Anderson's standards, the NanoTek is their top-of-the-line and best performing bat followed by the RockeTech, TechZilla, Ignite and KFP in that order. It's hard to say if any Anderson will flat out, out-perform the 454 from Worth. I've heard great things about the 454 so far and it is a high-performing bat. It would be very difficult to recommend many bats over the new 454s. Based on feedback though, I would put the 454 on par with the NanoTek and RockeTech in terms of performance.

I am new to the fast pitch softball world. My daughter is 12 yrs. She is a big girl. She just started batting lessons. Her coach suggested to start looking at 32 length and no more than 22oz. I don't know the difference between bat types( single wall, composite) Are they all plastic/part?? John 79
This is a single wall alloy bat, there isn't any plastic on the bat. I would suggest a 32 inch 21 oz.
Kara
Is the Anderson Ignite a better choice than the Anderson KFP for a power hitter? kfastpitch
Both the Anderson Ignite and the Anderson KFP are suited for power hitters. You really can't go wrong with either bat. The KFP is slightly end loaded.
Kara
Is this bat ISF approved? supernicegirl
Yes, the Anderson Ignite is approved for play in ISF as well as ASA, USSSA, NSA, and ISA.
John
My daughter is on a 10u team and is a small player. Decent bat speed but not much power. I'm wondering if the Ignite would be a better choice vs. the 2013 Easton FS3. Thanks. Coach
The Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch bat will come in -11 sizing. It will feature an Ergonomic Weldless Knob. It will be Single Wall All-Metal Alloy. It also features a lower MOI, which means her swing speed will be improved.
Brandon
My daughter is on 2 10u teams. She took hitting and pitching lessons this past fall and winter. She is 87 lbs and 4' 7". She is using a 31" 20oz. Easton Synergy bat now. I want to get an Anderson Ignite FP: IFP. Would 32" 21oz. be ok? Mack
For your daughters height and weight I do not recommend going up to a 32" Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch yet. It would be okay to go up in weight, but keep the length at a 31".
Noah
What size bat do you recommend for my 9 year old daughter? She was using a 27" 17oz last year but it seemed a little small. Joe
For the Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch bat and all others, our Bat Coach would suggest about a 29" bat. You can choose to go one size larger or smaller if it is more comfortable.
Robert
Does it have the USSSA stamp on it? olivia
The Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch has the new USSSA stamp.
Kara
My daughter is 11 years old and about to move up to the 13U league. What size do you think she needs? shannon
The correct size for the Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch is best determined by her height and weight. Check out our bat coach for sizing: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

My daughter is 9 and is currently using a 29inch- -11 bat--I was really interested in this brand of bat but not sure? Any suggestions much appreciated. joanie
We have received very good reviews on the Anderson Ignite Fastpitch model. Anderson produces some very high performing alloy models.
John
I bought an Ignite from Justbats.com last season and was disappointed with it. It had no pop and had a very 'tinny' sound when hitting. My daughter didn't like it and I replaced it with a bat pack of 2 Easton CV12: SCR1B also from Justbats.com that were AWESOME out of the box. Does the Ignite require a break-in? Is that why we didn't like it? It is sitting collecting dust and could be brought back to life. I was new to fastpitch and didn't know anything about break-in when we bought it. dars55
No, the Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch bat will not require any period of break-in.
Brandon
Is this a composite or aluminum bat? Ash
The Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch is an aluminum bat.
Tori
Does this model have all of the necessary 2014 stamps for USSSA/ASA tournament play? eric
The Anderson Ignite FP: IFP Fastpitch is currently approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA and ISA.
Bobby
How does the Anderson Ignite compare to the Anderson Flexzilla in terms of overall performance? the Deuce
The Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (IFP) and the Anderson Flexzilla will both have great pop and performance. One is not drastically better than the other. Either would be a great selection!
Brandon
What is the MOI rating on the Anderson Ignite and the Anderson Flexzilla? the Deuce
The Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (IFP) does not have an MOI listed on the bat. Even though we do not know the exact MOI rating, the Ignite and the Anderson Flexzilla will both have lower MOI's to ensure balanced swing weights.
Brandon
My daughter is on a 10U team. She is currently using a DeMarini Bustos bat. Her bat is 29 inches 16 ounces and -13. Would the Ignite being one inch shorter and one ounce heavier affect her? el feo
The feel of the Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (IFP) would be heavier overall than the DeMarini Bustos Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXBFP) because the length to weight ratio would be very different. This would require some adjustment on her part but should be something she could work on and get used to.
Patrick
My daughter currently uses the Bustos bat by DeMarini. It is getting small for her. We are looking for a 32" bat now. How does the performance of this Anderson bat compare to the Bustos bat? Jenna's Dad
The Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (IFP) has an alloy design with a balanced swing weight like the Bustos bat. It is very light swinging, but will swing heavier than the Bustos because it has a -11 length to weight ratio. The Bustos has a -13 length to weight ratio. The Ignite will provide similar feel and similar performance. It is a great option to transition into from the Bustos.
Jason
I have a DeMarini CF6 drop 10, I don't want to use it in the batting cages. Do you have any suggestions for what bat I should use in the batting cages? j
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) is a composite bat. If you are wanting another composite bat we have the 2014 COMBAT Portent Fastpitch Softball Bat (PORFP110). If you are looking for alloy I would recommend the Worth Prodigy Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPPCX2). The Worth is a drop 10. The Anderson Ignite FP Fastpitch Softball Bat (IFP) that you are looking at is a drop 11.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
