This is going to be one of the better bats on the market for a -10. This bat has not been out to long, but from all the test that this bat has gone through, it will be around for a long time. This bat has great pop and is going to have great durability.

The Easton Omen is going to be one of the top of the line bats on the market. The B3SL1 is going to be a bat that is going to be slightly under the Omen. It is still going to be a great bat, just a little less pop then the Omen.

Composite bats will have a little more pop than some alloy bats. Composite bats will require a break in period before you notice the bats full potential.

That was based on initial feedback from some of our customers. When that question was asked during the beginning of September, the B3 hadn't been on the market very long and we only had a small amount of customer feedback. The B3 is a high-performing bat. It is stiffer than the Omen and should be better suited for power hitters.

Both are the same 1 piece all composite design. The B2 does not have the USSSA 1.15 stamp that will be required in 2012. The B3 has a HUGE sweet spot and awesome pop once broken in.

If you are looking for a bat that is going to be closest in comparison to the Rival I would go with the Omaha. The B3 is a very good bat but it is going to feel different than the Rival

Power hitters usually prefer 1 piece bats. So that narrows that list down a little. TPX Z-1000 BBCOR: BB12Z Adult excellent choice! COMBAT has 2 that are incredible, the B52 and the B3.

USSSA is a governing body that some leagues follow. Senior league means big barrel. COMBAT makes a really good bat with good pop. This bat will be comparable.

Yes, this bat is going to be more durable, compared to the exogrid this bat is going to be similar in flex and balance but the material is going to be different. The B3 is all composite and the exogrid is an alloy bat

You picked it! This bat, seriously is incredibly hot. COMBAT has really dominated the market in 1 piece composite bats. HUGE sweet spot, excellent pop! The Rival would also be a great addition to your gear bag, the 1 piece alloy gives you a great pop also. Both are nicely balanced.

My son tested this bat and hit very well with the 30 inch 20 oz version. Pulled or straight away center for many long shots. fast hands but not too strong. Unfortunately he is too young for big barrel bat leagues. Would you recommend b4 30/20, easton s1 31/19, or easton xl1 30/20? Rico

Generally speaking, the S1 is a 2 piece composite, and will hit differently than what he is used to with the B2. Personally, I would go with the B3.

Most manufacturer's recommend that you limit the bat's use when it is below 60 degrees outside. It doesn't mean you can't use it, but I would try to limit it's use as much as possible until it's warmer than 60 degrees.

What type of hitter are you? Contact hitters often prefer two-piece bats with more flex, like the CF5. Strong, power hitters would probably benefit from a stiffer one-piece bat like the B3.

Both are top of the line bats. Since your son already has good bat speed, I would recommend the B3. The Z-1000 will be a little light for a 12 year old.

Barring the leagues don't decide to change the rules again, which we do not believe will happen. This bat has all of the newest required stamps and markings.

After contacting COMBAT themselves, the main difference between the COMBAT B3 B3SL1 and the COMBAT Caliber 52 is a slightly extended sweet spot on the B3.

I just bought this bat for my son. Is it okay to use this bat in a batting cage to break it in with a protective sleave on the barrel? dozer
I would recommend taking about 150-200 hits off a batting tee before using this in the cages. Also, make sure the batting cage does not use those yellow dimpled balls, as they are very dense and can be detrimental to the bat. After those hacks off a tee, you should be good to use the bat versus live pitching

Based on your son's height and weight, I would suggest going with a 31 inch bat. The weight really depends on what he feels comfortable with and is usually a step up from whatever he is currently swinging. Without knowing what kind of hitter your son is, it is hard to say if this bat is the best option for him or not. However, it is definitely a good bat that is very durable and offers lots of pop.

Both the Vertex and B3 are high performing bats. It really comes down to what you're looking for in a bat. I feel the B3 will have slightly better pop than the Vertex, but I would give the Vertex a leg up in terms of durability. Both are well balanced bats with similar feel.

It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. If he has previously used the Triton, a similar bat would be recommended. Between the CF5 and B3, the B3 is most similar to the Triton and would be recommended.
