Description

Riding high with the tremendous success of the B1 Alloy, COMBAT introduces their first hybrid bat design! The Grifter was constructed using all kinds of innovative new technologies and features as COMBAT continues to prove that they are more that just the composite bats that made them a household name. The barrel of the Grifter is made of Titanium Enhanced Alloy that gives this bat a solid feel and serious durability. Gear Inside Technology creates a special tapered geometry inside the barrel that consists of elongated grooves that provide a softer feel, greater performance and a HUGE sweetspot! The handle of the Grifter uses COMBAT's new Mongrel Composite Construction that removes the whip feeling in traditional two-piece bats, providing one-piece performance. This means more power at the plate, while still giving contact hitters that much sought after flex. The Grifter also employs COMBAT's secret Resonance Proof Taper. Combined with Gear Technology, this taper provides for ZERO STING and VIBRATION!! With an alloy barrel, 1.15 BPF and 2 1/4 inch barrel, the Grifter is approved for most major youth leagues. COMBAT: For Players, By Players! The Grifter comes with a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: What a rocket launcher!! My son using the 30/20. He says bat feels solid and has a solid "pop".He is 10 and hits go deep into the outfield.I'm waiting for his first homer of the season. He says it performs better than his old B3.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Received the Combat Grifter as a replacement for the B2 my son used last year. The -10 drop feels light, very well balanced and long barrel. He hit a ball 210 feet yesterday in batting practice, and he is not a power hitter! My son is 4'8" and the drop -10 in this bat is very light and easy to handle. The 2" longer barrel is worth the larger sweet spot.

Pros: Very nice pop. I used the (32/22) bat and there is a lot of pop in every swing. I upgraded from the Demarini Distance which is a very average bat. I have also used the Demarini Vendetta which is another awesome bat but the grifter is in a class of its own.!

Cons: None.

Pros: Bought this bat for my 10 yr old and he's smoking the ball. 10 oz drop is good as he's coming off his wood bat season. 3 for 3 with two bombs. Quality bat!

Cons: Cosmetics went quickly with just a few practices/games

Rocket

Pros: Great practice bat. Same taper as B1 and B2. Durable. Unlike the B1 and B2 which snap like chinese steel.

Cons: It is not a B1 or a B2. If it was not for these products. It would be "Da Bomb" The B1 and B2 are holy grail bats that kick but last only for a short time.

Pros: Nice sweet spot. My son hit 7 homeruns off of it shortly after getting it. Well balanced and nice feel.

Cons: My only complaint is that it began deforming quickly. It's more of an oval now. Not sure I would purchase this again.

Pros: My 8 year old son loves this bat. It's well balanced. In his first tournament, first at bat, he hit one ball 185 feet over the fence, in coach pitch. He has the 29" 19oz. bat. He always hits the ball hard. Some of the other boys like to use it too.

Cons: None

Pros: Best bat ever! Im 13 and 5/4 i never hit a homerun until this year and everyone wants to use my bat now. It has a huge sweet spot and its end loaded which gives more pop it makes the coolest sound when you hit it.My favorite part on this bat though is it comes with a warning label that says may cause death to other players

Cons: paint chips and loses pop after 300 hits but combats are notorious for that

JH
hello my name is nathan and i am 13 years old. i mostly use easton bats that are 30 inches and weighs 18 ounce. I would like to know what would be a better bat. The big barrel grifter combat or the smaller barrel and what would be the better length. also are these bats legal in travel ball 2012. Also would i be a able to return it if it is to heavy and if it happens to be illegal. baby nate
If you are able to use a big barrel bat, then that is what I would go with. It will have a bigger hitting surface that you are able to use. Once you have used the bat, you are not able to return it back to us. This is a great link that we have that will help pick the right bat for you and the right length and weight; http://www.justbats.com/bat.wizard.aspx

What is better the grifter or b4? THOMAS
That is personal preference. They have about the same pop and durability. Some hitters will prefer one over the other.
Mark
Is the Grifter Combat legal for Cal Ripken in 2012? DP
This bat has a 2 1/4 inch alloy barrel so it should be fine if the league requires 2 1/4 inch barrels
Kara
Is this bat little league approved? bandito03
Yes, this bat has been approved for play in Little League.
Tyler M
Does the bat have approved stamps for Little League and USSSA as well as the 1.15 bpf stamp? Dad
This is approved for Little League (and says so on the bat) but it does not have the new USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp that USSSA is requiring for small barrel bats in 2013.
Tyler
My son's league is switching to USSSA in 2013. He has a 29 - 19 Grifter. It has an USSSA and BPF 1.15 stamp on it. So am I safe to assume that his bat is legal for his league? RLP
The COMBAT Grifter: GRIFYB1 -10 Youth bat will have the older USSSA stamp. I would check to make sure you do not need a bat with the updated markings. The new USSSA 1.15 BPF marking will look like a small thumb print on the barrel of the bat.
