Description

Lisa Fernandez is without a doubt a legend in fastpitch softball. COMBAT has worked closely with Lisa Fernandez on the construction of this bat and it feels great and outperforms anything on the market. If it has Lisa's name on it, you can be sure the level of performance is legendary. With very long barrels and single wall construction the LFFP3 has unmatched durability and the performance of a double wall. The -12 drop is specifically designed for the younger and smaller player in mind to promote bat speed and control. The LFFP3 incorporates Variable Stiffness Technology which allows for lower barrel wall stiffness on both sides of the normal sweetspot, resulting in an enlarged sweet hitting area. Also found only in the LFFP3 is Blended Fiber Technology, where Arimid fibers ( found in bullet proof vests ) is combine with carbon and glass fibers in varying proportions and precise angles to get more trampoline effect and absorb vibrations resulting in more energy transfer to the ball and greater distance. What this really means is, longer barrel lengths and lighter bats resulting in maximum allowable performance. This bat has the power, performance and feel that you are looking for. Swing like an Olympian - add a Lisa Fernandez bat to your arsenal! COMBAT -For Players/By Players. Free Shipping

Pros: Great Bat!! We had a Miken Freak Fx700 lite and it had no pop even after 8 months of use. We purchased this bat and right out of the wrapper the bat had pop. We used it in hitting practice and then a tournament 3 days after getting it and my daughter hit back to back triples. Awesome bat for a great price!

Pros: I used this bat, the only reason I don't now is because I outgrew it. I LOVE IT! It has a lot of pop and I would say that it is one of the best bats I have ever used. I have had it for about 1.5 years and have not had any problems with it. It didn't crack, dent, or break and it is still as good as ever after all this time.

Cons: NONE!!!!

Pros: First composite bat for our 8 year old, she is a little stronger than most due to swim and swings the weight of the bat easily. Used now for two weeks and works well for her. NICE product and service! Thanks!

Cons: None.

Pros: The team hit great with this bat during regular season, but the umpires would not allow this bat to be used at the state Allstar tournament. My daughter is seven and small but has power in her swing and good form. The bat is so light and she swings fast. She may need a heavier bat even though she only weighs 50 lbs.

Pros: Hot bat right out of the box. My 10 year old hit her first out of the park homerun very first time hitting with it.

Cons: Manufacturer no longer makes this bat? Going to need another in the future. The new COMbat model is on the Dixie Youth banned list and this one will need new USSSA stamp for fall season, so check your rules before buying! May only get 1 summer season using.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the COMBAT Lisa Fernandez Fastpitch Softball Bat: LFFP33? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What's the difference between this and the COMbat Lisa Fernandez: LFFP22 Fastpitch bat? GMoney
The only difference is the length to weight ratio. The LFFP33 will be a -12 and the LFFP22 will be a -10. This means the LFFP33 will be a ligher weight compared to the LFFP22 of the same length.
Sean
Is there a break-in period for the bat? Jack
Yes. A good break-in period requires about 100 to 150 hit of a tee starting at about 40% power then increasing to 90 or 100% as you get closer to the 150 swing mark. Be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch in your hands between each swing to ensure the entire surface of the barrel is broken in evenly.
JH
The few reviews are from 9 & 10 year olds. I have a 12 year old that has alot of issues with hand sting. What have you heard from older players and how is this bat dfferent to help reduce the hand stinging? Curious George
Only in the LFFP3 is Blended Fiber Technology, where Arimid fibers ( found in bullet proof vests ) is combine with carbon and glass fibers in varying proportions and precise angles to get more trampoline effect and absorb vibrations, resulting in more energy transfer to the ball and greater distance.
lkh
Which is a hotter bat when it is brand new an easton synge or a combat lisa fernandez (-12)? Tommy
Both are all composite and must be broken in before use in games. They both will be hot once they are broken in correctly.
K.B.
Is there also a Combat LFFP3? If so, what's the difference between that and the LFFP33? rick
There was a COMBAT LFFP3 that is no longer in production. There really is no difference between the two. The LFFP33 is simply a newer model.
TJ
what is the diameter of the barrel? jim
All fastpitch bats are 2 1/4 inch.
Kara
How does the COMbat bat compare to the Louisville Slugger Catalyst? I am needing a team bat for 7 and 8 year old team. Coach
Both are great performing bats. If this is going to be a team bat, I may lean more towards the COMBAT as it may have a slight edge in terms of durability.
Tyler
Is it hot out of the wrapper or not? softballgirl43
This a a 100% composite bat and does require a break in. A good break-in period requires about 150-200 hits off a tee or soft toss, starting at about 40% power then increasing to 90 or 100% as you get closer to the 200 swing mark. Be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch in your hands between each swing to ensure the entire surface of the barrel is broken in evenly
Jennifer
Does this bat have the new stamp needed for 2013? patriots6
The COMBAT Lisa Fernandez does not have the new USSSA stamp. However it is legal until September 1, 2013. After that time, all bats must have the new USSSA stamp.
Jennifer
Is this the same as the LFFP3 bat listed on the ISF approved bat list, or is this a different model? EarlyBird
The LFFP33 is the newest model. The LFFP3 is a discontinued model.
Kara
I have an 8 yr old that is 4'2 48-50 lb. She is using a 27/17 non composite bat. Would a 28/16 or 29/17 inch be better for her? Tyler
Based on her height and weight we recommend a 28" 16 oz.
Kara
I have a 10 year old that is 5 ft. 150 lb. She is currently using the 30/18 of this model. Is this the appropriate length/weight for her? Christie
Based on that particular height and weight, a 32" bat is suggested. The link to our Bat Coach is http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Nick K.
I have a 6 yr old playing 8u she is using a 26"15oz bat i was thinking of going with the 27" 15oz bat her height is 45" and she weighs about 45 lbs eddie
Based on her height and weight, she's right on the brink between a 26 and 27 inch model. It's difficult for us to give an exact recommendation without being able to see and analyze her swing, but if she maintained good bat speed and control with the 26" 15 oz model, she should be just fine with the 27" 15 oz. model.
Tyler
Does this bat meet the new 2013 requirements? Does it have a 2013 USSSA stamp? kap
The COMBAT Lisa Fernandez does not have the new USSSA stamp. However, it is legal until September 1, 2013. After that time the new USSSA stamp will be required on all bats.
John
My daughter is 4'11'' and weighs 95lbs. She is 13 years old and plays travel ball. She plans to begin playing up at the high school level this year. She has always used bats much smaller and lighter than the other girls because of her small size. We are currently buying her a new bat to replace her current Easton Synergy 29"-17oz. bat. Should we force her to get into a heavier bat because of her age even though she hits very good without much power? We are looking into this -12 bat but are noticing the much younger ages in the reviews that use it. What size would you recommend or should we try a different one altogether? Lisa
The COMBAT Lisa Fernandez: LFFP33 Fastpitch bat would be a great choice. However, our Bat Coach Tool on justbats.com recommends that a girl at that age with her size should be swinging a 31" bat.
Brandon
Is there any coupon I could use to buy this bat to help out with the cost? Chris
We do not offer coupon codes due to the fact that we already offer free same day shipping and do not charge sales tax outside of the state of Missouri.
Tom
My daughter is 10 years old she is 4'11" and 80 lbs. This is her first year playing travel ball. What kind and size bat do you recommend for her? Linda
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" 19 oz. model in the COMBAT Lisa Fernandez: LFFP33 Fastpitch bat. For more information on sizing, please visit out Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Aubrey
My daughter is 7 yrs. old, 4 ft tall and 45 lbs. What size bat is recommended? She is currently using a 25/15. TJ
I would try to find something in a 26 inch in a -11, -10, or -9.
Zach
My daughter is 4'11" and is 11 years old. What size bat should she use? Last year she used a 29" 16 oz. She plays rec. and travel ball. Craig
Using the Bat Coach feature on www.JustBats.com I was able to determine she should be using a 31" bat length. It looks like the most popular models designed for her would be: 2012 DeMarini Vendetta C6: DXVCF Fastpitch, and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS Xeno: FP13X Fastpitch.
Brandon
My daughter is 8 years old 4' 1" and weighs 50 lbs., what size bat would you recommend for her? I'm looking for something that will give her more power. Lety
I would look for a 27" bat. A composite bat like the COMBAT Lisa Fernandez: LFFP33 Fastpitch would definitely help your daughter's power.
Kevin
My daughter is 11 years old and 4' 6'' 80 lb.. What bat do you recommend? Mike
With the height and weight given we suggest that the COMBAT Lisa Fernandez: LFFP33 Fastpitch be in the 30" 18 oz. size.
