Pros: My daughter plays HS ball and has lacked confidence at the plate. This bat has turned her into a power hitter. The ball flies off the barrel. She is constantly driving the ball into the outfield. This bat is the choice of all players on her team.
Cons: It scratches/gouges easily.
Pros: I got mine last week and it has become the best bat I have ever bought! I love it so much! The ball flys off the barrel when I hit the ball. I recommend this bat for any girl. I lacked confidence at the plate and now I have all the confidence I the world. I have always loved DeMarini but this is just amazing!
Cons: scratches/chips, very, very, easily!
Pros: My daughter is extrememly happy with this bat. She hit with it during a game right out of the wrapper. The bat is "hot"with alot of pop. She went from swinging an Anderson end loaded to this wiht no problem!!
Cons:
Pros: Good out of wrapper. Ball flys off sweet spot!
Cons: sweet spot not as big as i would like but well worth price still.
Pros: my daughter plays for 15 and under and she loves the feel of the bat. it's hot right out of the wrapper, then we put about 150 hits to the outfield during practices and wowwww! out of the park power!
Cons: price but you get what you pay for
Pros: Hot. At our first practice my daughter drives one 200+ She just turned and smiled.
Cons:
Pros: Lots of pop best bat I have ever had I hit 5 triples in one 2 day tournament with this and 2 homeruns.Very nice grip. The price is worth it.
Cons: Scratches easily. Wish it had a slightly better sweet spot
Pros: GREAT BAT!!! My daughter needed a new bat and we heard that this was the bat that "everyone" is talking about!
Cons: wish it was not 300 bucks, but if you want the best, you have to pay the price! lol
Pros: I love this bat. I have been using Demarini's for years, and I love them. This bat has to be my favorite one so far. I use it all the time between my high school team and travel team. I my coach calls me the power hitter, because I hit triples to home runs all the time.
Cons:
Pros: This bat is HOT right out of the wrapper. Huge sweet spot. Daughter loves the bat. She says it's a well balanced bats that handles exceptionally well. We had originally been looking at the -9 but due to it having to be ordered we "settled" on this one.....not a bad choice after all.
Cons: Chips and scars very easily. I've been buying fastpitch and baseball bats for more than a dozen years (11 composite bats in all)for my 3 kids, and I will always say that the price for each one including this one is way too high for a bat that has no more than $12 of material in it.
Pros: This bat is AMAZING. I had the cf4 and when I used this bat I hit so much farther. It is the best bat in the world
Cons: Be expected to hit far
Pros: Bottom line...Great bat. My daughter loves it. She could always hit but now her singles ae now doubles and doubles now triples. Gives that extra pop. She had a Worth but now she will never go back.
Cons: Well im ok with the price. You pay for what you get. Its the scatches. It does scratch easily.
Pros: My 12 y/o loves the bat. After hitting her new bat she had much more confidence in her hitting. She has always been a good contact hitter but now she has some pop to her hits. We got what we paid for, a great bat, worth every penny. I used the free shipping and bat was at my door the next day.
Cons: Will this bat be legal next year? I hope so for the price.
Pros: This bat is awesome!! My girls love this bat! Hot right out of the box no break in time needed!
Cons: A bit pricey but the homeruns they are hitting now makes it money well spent!!
Pros:
Cons: I see a lot of parents saying how their daughter loves her new bat, but mine did not get much of a chance to use it. After just a 3rd swing practicing with it, the end of the bat popped off. We had to ship it back right away to get a new one. I had to pay 50.00 to ship it and now Dimarini will not reimburse me. If you pay 300.00 for something it should atleast last longer than 1 day. I understand things happen, but I could have atleast been reimbursed for having to ship it back!
Pros: MY 11 YEAR OLD GIRL DID HIT A FEW HOMERUNS AND A COUPLE OF GRAND SLAMS WITH THIS BAT! LOVE IT...
Cons: SHE IS WORKING ON HER 3RD BAT SINCE CHRISTMAS. THEY CRACK WAY TO EASY FOR A 300.00 BAT.
Pros: This bat has great POP right out of the box. This CF5 was purchased to replace a Worth Mayhem -12 that the end cap broke. I have a 12 & 14 year old that is shearing this bat, (until I can get another one) the first game for my 12 yr old she hit one 20 ft from the fence just foul, then she straightened it out and got a stand up triple. I would recommend the CF5 to any hitter that is looking to get that extra pop from there bat.
Cons: None with the bat, just price!I guess you have to pay to play with the best.
Pros: Love the crack of the back. for the price you do get what you pay for. my daughter is 12 and hit her 1st out of the park. she broke her cf4 and glad she did. best bat ever!!!
Cons: none
Pros: Lots of pop right out of the wrapper. Excellent bat. Will buy another one 32/22.
Cons:
Pros: I'm on a travel team and one of the girl's on my travel team has this bat and she has hit MANY triples that are close to out of the park homeruns . The bat is light weight and she has gone from little "bloopers" in the infield to triples and very close to home runs ! I hope to be getting this bat VERY soon .
Cons: NOTHING !!!! :)
Pros: Bat is hot right out of wrapper, but we have still broke it in with 400-500 swings to make it even better. Bat has great balance throughout her swing and has provided a lot of hard hit shots all over the field.
Cons: For a $300 bat, you would expect the paint not to chip so easily!
Pros: Love this bat!! I play 14u and I have deffinentally gained more confidence at the plate. Best bat i have ever owned. Nice sweet spot!
Cons: Scratches and chips easy
Pros: We just got the bat a couple weeks ago and my daughter has only played on tournament with it. At this point it's hard to say anything good or bad, except she LOVES swinging it. She loves the look and feel. It does make the ball pop and fly more than her old bat. We are very pleased at this point.
Cons:
Pros: I love this bat. Just it recently And i see a HUGE difference, I bat #4 , the pop is amazing, You defiantly get what you pay for.
Cons: cant be left in heat for a little bit, the design melted
Pros: Great bat I love it
Cons: None
Pros: I bought this bat for my daughter who plays 10u Dixie and Travel softball. Best $300 I have ever spent on her to help her excel! Love the sound and she loves the feel! She now consistently hits doubles and triples! We did have one to crack but DeMarini replaced it with no problems! (I did have to pay to ship it to them)
Cons: The whole team is gonna want to use it!
Pros: Love this bat!! HOT out of the wrappper! Great pop good colors!! Ment for powere hitters seeking for a homerun!! It is definatly possible woth this bat! I would recommenad this bat for 10 and up hitters!! LOVE THIS BAT!!!
Cons: NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Great bat! Hot out of the wrapper. For you people that say this bat chips easily it doesn't easily maybe if you beat it to deth it will!!!
Cons: NONE!!!!!!
Pros: I bought this bat for my college granddaughter and find no fault with it during fall ball. She hit with power when required and it provides a soft solid bunt surface.
Cons: None at this time.
Pros: At least 2 Homeruns a weekend in travel. This is my 5th DeMarini...going to miss it when I go to college in 2014. They swing Easton's. Bummer. AWESOME BAT!!!!
Cons: I bust my DeMarini's within 12 months and they will replace it with a receipt. IT DOES CHIP EASILY!!! Don't use those funky metal welded bat holders, or hit your creates with it. Other than that BEST BAT!!!
Pros: We Purchased this bat for our daughter after she was introduced to it at batting practice, her coach had it, she liked it so much we purchased it for her!! She loves it!!
Cons: None yet!
Pros: great bat, love the pop in it!!!!!!!!!!!!

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
