The Easton Ash Wood Bat: PA271 Adult and the Easton Andre Ethier Pro Grade Ash Wood Bat: AE16 Adult are both similar in quality. The PA271 uses Northern Ash and the Andre Ethier uses Alleghany Ash.

Ash, Birch, and Maple bats do not need to have the BBCOR certification but Bamboo and Composite will need to have the BBCOR stamp on the bat to be legal for high school baseball. With that being said, the Easton Ash Wood Baseball Bat: PA271 Adult does not need the BBCOR stamp and is legal for high school.
